Can I ask a question about new content?
If a female ruler "offers herself" to a male lord, and then is "retained" by the male lord in his territory for a long time (I can only see the script name of the event because I don't play the English version of the game), if you choose to leave, the negative opinions will fade very slowly, while the positive opinions will disappear very quickly. This will cause the male lord's opinion of you to become -100 soon after the female ruler returns to the territory. Is this intentional or is it a problem with the setting time of the opinions?

The second question is, is the tavern content completed?

It's using base game opinion modifiers for negative opinions so it's longer, did not check them when setting them. while the positive ones are using custom. The idea is that if you go whoring up your liege and then leaving, they will be very annoyed. BUT, the balancing on that content is very much WIP as it's missing stuff that I can't do before the next DLC is out. But the idea kind of is, being a whore is not good for prestige/influence but it earns you some other benefits that you can use to compensate.

ALSO, I used random ranges on how much the liege might be annoyed, from -10 to -50 and anything between.

also no, there is no definitive end for the tavern content but it's somewhat feature complete now that I hid the popularity track that works better on the new courtesan trait

Thanks for the answer
Then there is another problem with "offers herself", which is that if a female ruler is detained by a male lord, after a period of time (seems to be 4-5 "contact" /month?), open the log of the female ruler will be seriously lag, and the log will be spammed with records of "contact" between the two people.

PS:The current version of negative opinions is too long even in POD. Is it possible to choose to go home after being "detained" for a period of time without increasing the negative opinions? After all, it is provided for free.

when leaving during the loop events, the random range went up to -200, that definitely is way too much. swapped the max to -50 in the dev version. Also, reduced the amount of events that trigger before you are allowed to leave, unless you are very unlucky. The idea is that in one he wants to impregnate you before you are allowed to leave, in the other he wants to lay with you until bored.

But I'm unable to replicate the log spam. I'm assuming it's Bc you are using partial localization. that sometimes causes weird log spams.

thx,

"The idea is that in one he wants to impregnate you before you are allowed to leave"

Now I know why I can't leave, because I'm a vampire

I will also be adding fertility checks for that to trigger

Is there anything that makes it progressively harder to resist the demons? My character is almost 100 and is feeling pretty OP. I know there is one dream event ("it comes") which can make my character dumber, but seems like I need to opt in to it. If I keep playing, can I just be immortal and OP forever or will my character eventually lose stats to the demons even if I try to avoid it?

I have been unsure on how to implement the negatives to the demon content. But now that you mention it, having worse and worse dilemmas and "fuck the player" events trigger as you get older would prob be the best solution. I'm thinking that from 50 to 100 it will get progressively worse. and at 100 you are almost spammed with dilemma duels and chances for just having bad luck that increasingly gimp your character/steal things from you. So you have some extra decades and even past 100, it would prob take a decade or two until your character becomes unplayable if you are unlucky. And maybe last to 200 if you are lucky/min max/willing to play as a brain fucked vegetable.

I think negative stats and events that kind of screw you would be good. The game does become super easy when every single person in my kingdom/empire loves me, even neighbouring countries love me. Maybe some events that can cause certain Vassal to hate you? Maybe your heir trying to usurp your throne?

I have been thinking options to a "target of conspiracy" type event chains. That can trigger if has certain indicators that the player is doing really well. like empire with +1000g gold or something. Like start small negative events with chances for player to connect random dots with intrigue checks. That culminate to big "fuck you crisis" if you failed to stop it. and even if you realize there is a conspiracy against you, you have to find out who is behind it and if successful, it marks some people that fit the conspiracy as someone you have to kill or something to deal with to end the crisis event.

But, I have to let that cook some more as it needs plenty of story tests/mechanics and variants to be interesting.

I think what would be really cool is for "resist the demon" options to add progressively more stress, or come with stacking stress reduction penalties each time you choose them.

Then for the events where you get really messed up by them to reset the stress penalties, but have some other effects.

I feel like something like this might already be implemented in some events but it's hard to tell.

I guess one way to do it is to add "Mental Strain" track and every time it hits 100, the next event from the demon event spin is a big one that will fuck with you in some way. OR if you have +2 stress levels, treating stress as you ability to resist them. Also, adding stress adding modifiers to the corruption/mental strain track. Also offering some rewards to risk higher mental strain/corruption. Or just convert the purpose of the corruption track.

You know, the mind fucked condition already makes stress gain go to 0...

So what you could do is have a series of events (with a name like "impending doom" or something) where a demon tries to make you do something publicly which has serious in-game consequences (gain deviant trait, witch trait, fornicator, give up a county, empty the treasury, etc). And have resisting the demon be possible at first, but give increasingly high levels of stress. Maybe the flavor for this is the sleep become deeper, and you need to claw at yourself more to get it.

Once the stress gain becomes unmanageable, add a "prequel" event (is this possible?) where a second demon offers you a way to resist the first, and the way is something which gives you the mindfucked status but also potentially drains your stats, takes away quick/ gives dull, etc. That way the PC has to choose between two bad situations, both of which will eventually force the game to end.

I'm sorry to tell you that the Chinese translation doesn't seem to work in the following two events:

the Chinese translation is for a way older version, as the version number in the file would imply. I have no ability to update it myself. Unless someone does it. I can't update it.

Ok, I just hope this translation gets updated. If can't do it, I can only express my regret. Thanks for your reply.

What does paying 100 gold to the demon for a kiss actually do? It implies I'll get "something back" but I can't tell what it was.

You got scammed by a demon, the only thing it does is -50 the trait reward track on the demon slut trait.

I've noticed when when choosing the inform my vassals option, when dealing with stress, the only thing it does is remove stress. Is that intended? or is an event supposed to show?

there was a different exp track requirement on the option and the event, now both should be 10.

Is Inn content not finished yet? No matter what i do i can't progress status.

yup, that content is kind of in a limbo until figure out just how I want prostitution content to work. And since I feel like it should use "NPCs who exist" that content might just end up as the place if I ever feel like writing "prostitution short stories." So any additions would be pretty random or not at all. Like most content in the mod... though if secret societies ever gets added, I would just overhaul the inn content into that.
