Alien Invasion, Im more than happy to serve our new xeno overlords as long as they get me a comfy life and cool tech. People just assume aliens invading earth would come for resources or genocide wich is dumb. Spending resources to purge or eat a sentient race that isnt a threat is irrational and any resource ib earth can be harvested in space in greater quantities (yes even water,,, specially water). If they bother interacting in a hostile way it would be a war of domination so im ok serving them if I can live well, I already serve our rich economy overlords so changing a master for another with better tech and possibly life quality is a no brainer. Also if humanity wages war and wins we can learn and scavenge tech to rebuild an even stronger civilization the many of the other apocalypses ae almost impossible to rebuild.

nuclear armageddon : you're either adapted to the world (ghoul, super mutant), or you're a survivor. in any case, you're quite good, you can survive all by yourself

zombie apocalypse : quite easy to survive, you just need some good walls and to last for long. they'll rot away

 

disease outbreak : you're most likely fucked, infected food and water, or maybe air itself

 

alien invasion : potentially very bad. you can either meet an apex (death angels, the alien) or just a race too advanced to compete

 

natural disaster : you can survive, depending on the disaster. if it's Mad Max, it's hella cool, but if it's flooding, eh. if it's freezing, it doesn't seem as bad as it sounds at first (food can be kept for long, you can try to light some fire to warm yourself, some animals will survive the polar weather)

 

AI takeover : you're no match and you'll die extremely quickly, no chance to survive that or have any hope left. animatrix has a really scary scene to illustrate that

depends actually. well, for the nuclear world, ofc it's only fallout wise. but for the zombies, since they're walking corpses, many scavengers will devour them. and otherwise, without cleaning the bodies will just start decaying until they can't even move

There's a theory that I heard where the disease that turns people into zombies makes it where the body decays slower.
