[mod] Regula Magistri 2

Recommended Posts

Ran into a bit of an issue...the character got lovers pox from a charming event and it caused one of the wives to reject him from bed, which is fine since I just removed the lovers pox trait using debug mode. Issue was that after 2 years I released the wife had given the PC the -10000% fertility debuff so he was no longer getting any children. There are rituals to cure the women but the Magister himself isn't immune or has a cure?

Can anyone help me with this issue or do I need to start from scratch again?

Excellent mod. After reviewing the code, the mod author (ban10) clearly understands the inner-workings of the game more than most. It is evident a lot of work has gone into this.

One minor balancing issue is that the event that causes a girl who has come of age to come to you to be bound ( "fascinare_outcome.2504"?? I think its triggered by the Obedience hereditary trait) gets very spammy in the later game. It is also highly implausible, as girls who are on the other site of the world or in jail even come to be bound. I suggest limiting the event to trigger if the girl is in diplomatic range and available to travel.

Other than that, excellent work. This is probably one of the best, fully-featured, conversion mods for CK3 on LL.

You can do an orgy and heal yourself, no ?

gearing up for some ck3 after a long break anything new, in terms of requirements, oddities, or workarounds I need to know about for this mod?

edit:

looks like I might need to replace CBO with the unofficial new one?

Has anyone tried using this mod with map expansion mods (like Rajas of Asia, More Bookmarks+, Asia Expansion Project etc.) or big overhaul mod like AGOT yet? Asking for compatibility wise, I'm gonna try with some map expansion mods soon though.

Follow the Requirements section and you're good to go, and yes if you want to use CBO then you will need to go for the unofficial one now

I'm not sure if this has been requested before, but there should be an option to "Mass Charm" female prisoners, just like the options to mass execute, mass enslave, or mass ransom. It would greatly streamline the process of handling prisoners after a big raid, or war.

Anyone else just get really annoyed at stupid committed bachelor foreign rulers?  I'd love to Abice Maritus/Potestas Non Transfunde to annex your realm, but you apparently don't care about maintaining your dynasty because you obstinately never marry.  Or the Asian ones who just use concubines instead.  It would be nice to have the ability to do something akin to Abice Maritus using concubines but I don't insist on it.  Sometimes I can marry my own daughters to them and then snatch the title away.

I've always found that a neat role play thing. Like, these guys aren't sure what's causing all this Regula nonsense or why it's spread so fast. But they are sure it has something to do with being married.

I would like to play this mod with an "all traits shown" mod because naturally my character gets very overpowered with the soul draining and extended life, but it seems that all such mods conflict with this because the "Free the Keeper of Souls" event messes with family window and with both mods installed secondary spouses and concubines aren't visible. I've tried sorting this out myself but I can't find what lines of code even interact with the family tab in the character_window.gui. Does anyone have a solution?

not sure if this has been mentioned before but I was playing an adventurer with this, had the famuli ment at arms units I could make then I took some land and became a duke and now I cannot make the female units anymore

This is the best adult mod in the CK series, and I have been immersed in it for dozens of hours this week. Thank you for your great work!

However, there might be an issue with character weight after "sanctification." I'm not sure if it's because the AI, after being sanctified, selected the "Strengthen Bloodline" decision, which replaced the original goddess nickname with "The Blood Mother". As a result, the weight lock (not sure if RM has this feature?) may have been nullified.

As shown in the screenshot, the target weight has reached 50. This is the first time I've encountered this issue, as other characters of the same age who were sanctified did not have such a weight. Additionally, this character does not have gluttonous trait or anything similar (originally, there were too many traits, exceeding two rows, so I used the console to remove some irrelevant ones).

What mods did you use to make her look this beautiful? And what mods for her dress?

Found a bug in Regula_Magistri\events\scheme_events\fascinare_scheme\fascinare_ongoing_events.txt, starting at line 745

				modifier = {
					has_trait = 10
					add = 10
				}

"has_trait = 10" is wrong.

regarding my issue above, is there a console command I can use to get the famuli units back?

You need to have the cultural tenet "Famuli warriors", so the command

effect = {root.culture = {add_culture_tradition = tradition_famuli_warriors}}

should work

Is this AGOT compatible? After I enable this mod, the cabinet become vanilla cabinet and i can only give some position to landed people.

I don't think so, which is a shame

I agree, I hate GUI code though, but yes an extra button would be great and its something I've thought about.

Is it posible to add some sort of way Magister adventurers to have female knights?

I'm like 90% sure I looked at this at one point, the problem is culture basically.
I remember vaguely someone had an idea of making a Regula culture when you "start the cult" so that we can make it easier to transition into Regula cultural tenets, something I might play with soon.

Map expansion mods should be fine, but overhauls are trickier, I think AGOT breaks things

Maybe a weird question but how do you generate the MAA art? I think it's a cool aesthetic but im new to AI art and don't know what I'm doing

I noted some stuff down in this commit https://gitgud.io/ban10/regula-magistri/-/commit/9f464963b1f9576103df201645e824767cef58dc?merge_request_iid=18
Gimme a shout if you have more questions, I recommend using https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui
Read up how to use it, then grab some models and have fun!

even if you heal yourself the debuff doesn't go away so you can't create more kids

Oops, this is a case where Mezrahi is correct!
If you do the Orgy heal event, if you have no contagious diseases afterwards, you will lose the rejected from marriage bed modifier
https://gitgud.io/ban10/regula-magistri/-/blob/master/Regula_Magistri/events/activities/regula_orgy_activity/regula_orgy_intent_events.txt#L343

Hmm, I will look at adding some tooltip text somewhere to make this more obvious. Either in the event or the heal intent.

Thanks,
Yeah I've noticed that as well, there is an option to disable the ward charming events via the book decision but I do want to look into making this just a message feed (and maybe have the event pop based on a cooldown and only for "interesting" wards or something)

The diplo range thing is a cool idea, something to think about.

Thanks, though this was actually fixed a month ago by OzcarMike 😳, I've been very busy recently so haven't been able to test so I can release a new version for a while.

I'm back now, so will try to clean up what I have and release soonish, you can see all the changes I have stored on GitGud https://gitgud.io/ban10/regula-magistri/-/compare/4.2.0...master

Does Brave basically stop you from being able to do the Regula Event Chain as a Landless Adventurer? Whenever I start it, the Brave options seems to only allow me to kill them.

Edit: I tried without Brave and still can't get anything other than "you're demons", unless I'm lustful.

Edit2: Apparently I needed to let the game run for a bit before trying to start the event chain.

Yeah, it would be logical for them to realize that, for instance, every single ruler who's married one of the Magister's daughters has suddenly decided to retire and become a monk and leave his realm to his wife, who then swore fealty to her father.  I just don't give CK3 AIs any credit for that kind of flexible thinking.

Just so you (and anyone else who reads this) are aware, all of the options in the "Start cult" decision are mostly flavour with minor changes in stress impacts and give different bonus modifiers.
You don't get a chance to kill them or anything, even with the option "I shall stop your demonic rituals!".
In fact, in the very next scene, the first sentence of the event is "I try to speak, but nothing comes out of my throat.", the implication being that the cultist is using the Regula Magistri on you (to transfer its power to you).

You know I should write more events with this sort of flavour of using the Regula Magistri to do bits of magic, like when charming a women whos wrathful you first freeze her in place, or having you read the mind of a paranoid women to tell her you can read her thoughts before charming her. hmmm

The only major difference is that the first lustful choice gives no stress, while all the other options do. The lustful trait option is the easter egg option.

Can someone share a copy of No Death Cascade? To clarify I have the game pass version so I can't access the steam mod store.
