Froggy Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 Well, yes and no. Starbound uses both "present" and "off screen" systems. Anything that leaves your immediate area is no longer actively being computed, but it does all get stored in memory on your drive. That's why every planet can be revisited and everything will be exactly like you left it. Thus pregnancy won't progress to childbirth unless you hang around for several in-game days, but the pregnancy itself can continue in a state of suspended animation forever even when you're not around.  So tracking children, potentially impossible unless we hang out every single time or some sort of new mechanic is introduced that instantly causes childbirth right after you left the planet. But just tracking pregnancies themselves? Should be pretty easy, and I'm not asking for anything other than 1) the girl's name, 2) her species and 3) what planet she was on in case I want to come back later. All that is already being recorded by the game, it's just a matter of referencing it into a journal or something.

Frisky Bacon Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I've been having an issue with Pregnancy with the Neki mod. No matter what I do, I can't get my Neki Player character pregnant. Vannila races work fine, so does the modded Lustlings Race, but Neki are not. I've asked at the Neki Sexbound support mod, but apparently thier mod doesn't touch the pregnancies, any idea on what is causing it?

And I, too, had to remember that the hard way before xD Â Since the last update to the Neki Sexbound Patch, Juni made the Neki lore-accurately natively infertile; they cannot get pregnant nor make others pregnant. Â If you want to change this, you would need to edit the "/species/neki.speices.patch" file in the Neki Sexbound Patch and remove the two lines that talk about "infertile". Make sure to keep proper JSON syntax intact, you can use online tools to validate that for you.
ActualDonglord Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Is there a way to make the sextalk plugin recognize actors with the inflated status, either having it pull from the "pregnant" section or from seperately made one?

Not with the current sextalk v1. With the upcoming sextalk v2 in SBR V1.2, yes.
luciodark Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Neki has the heat mechanic enabled in the species.patch and I turned it on in the config and set it to 0-1 days to test it on the 1.2 build, but it doesn't seem to ever occur.

It will mess with/override kids though, as there is only one way to achieve the scaling of entities.

I'd also like more information - is it just Avians, or any species?
R654 Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 This isn't just exclusive to the test build, i noticed this first when i was using the latest release, i was just using it at the time. And yes its just the Avians

Zorakda Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Just out of curiosity, how does the player get the Arousal Debuff? Cause so far I've yet to get it, I play as a female draconis by the way and perhaps that's why it's not happening?

So the answer is "you don't" right now xD

My character isn't animating they're just standing still :<  When I switched to legacy Sexbound it does work so I'm not sure if I'm missing something from installation procedure. I used packed version of Sexbound Reborn and used all mods in currently latest version. Those are all paks I have:  this is my log:  It's fresh game of course. I'm new to Starbound mods and starbound itself tbf as well.  It does work(tm) with defeat - well, for as far as defeat ever worked - and Teratophilia, yes. However, monster only have about 3 positions available; None of which support FxF interaction. Considering your character is female, and most monsters have a 50/50 chance of spawning in either male or female, you probably encountered a female monster. As a result of which, no positions are available. 1

This creature works with old Sexbound in both variants female creature and male creature (well at least there are separate pov files for each). Sexbound Reborn only seems to work properly with male variant. The same seems to be true for other creatures, rendering about half of creatures unusable on SRB. Â Old Sexbound FxF encounter (fingering): Â Â and for male character (female mob): Â MxF: Â There are also animations for male variant of mob. With SRB there's a chance that there's no animations available, even for this particular mob. Edited April 27, 2024 by Lapsio

With SRB there's a chance that there's no animations available, even for this particular mob. Â POV support for monsters and Sexbound support for monsters are two different things. Old Sexbound did not have the "issue" that no positions are available in certain situations, it had the issue that most positions that are available made 0 sense in certain situations. Old Sexbound does not have logical position filtering, allowing a female character to wildly hump nothing but air, somehow still producing wet penetration sound while talking about actual sex. This has been fixed in SBR, at the cost of sacrificing variety in certain situations until more positions are done. Â If you want to turn off this logical filtering, there is a setting in the main "sexbound.config" file called "forceAllPositions", which restores the nonsensical availability of all positions regardless of conditions as in Old SxB.

Considering how few animations there are available for mobs I believe it would make sense if there would be fallback to "forceAllPositions" behavior (or option to enable such fallback mechanics) in case there is 0 positions available. Because tbf TerraDefeat with health restoring while character and mob are just standing still and doing noting is not much less nonsensical than having inappropriate animations XD  EDIT: works now Edited April 28, 2024 by Lapsio 1
