[mod] Sexbound Reborn

I dont knoe whats up with my game when using this mod but it crashes when I go into the game and cant remember how to bring up the data log.

 

i have tried fixing it as I noticed that when i dont have the crash issue sex cannot be initiated or sexbound in general doesnt work if I try editing anything in the config to turn off pregnancy or turn on force all positions.

/<Starbound installation folder>/storage/starbound.log

Or just a plain text file named "starbound" if you have file endings disabled.

With the new update, occasionally there will be a npc that cannot be impregnated (even with the fertility pills).

I'm attaching the log in hopes that you can notice if something is wrong.

That issue is known and will be fixed in the next update.

Hiya it's me again. wondering if there's a compatibility issue or patch for Cutebound, or if i'm reading into this crash wrong. in effect when an avian npc attempts to interact with a sxb object, the character disappears and immediately crashes. starbound log lists it as:

 

[16:49:28.249] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (AssetException) Path '/humanoid/avian//5.png' contains consecutive //, not allowed

 

Conditions only occur when Cutebound is installed, and I cant seem to trace it back to anything else as of yet. Ive made note and seen that the avian in question has beak option 5, so im guessing its trying to pick that asset but failing.

After vaguely looking into it, it is to be classified as a compatibility issue. It could surely be fixed, but requires some greater internal changes.

Alrighty. that's unfortunate that its a deeper problem. ill see if I can cobble something together to keep the crashes at bay in the meantime.

what does this part in the Supported Mods section mean tho?

Most Race Compatibility Patches

Is that only for the vanilla races or for those added by mods too?

A modded race needs a compatibility patch, another mod, to work with sexbound

makes me wonder if their even are any custom race patches for this new version cause i only know of the list for the old sexbound

None of the ones I know of have had any updates to use any new SBR features that can be added to the species file.

 

However, that's why that part in the compatible mods section is there - Most of all existing race compatibility patches work exactly the same with SBR as they did with SxB. Most, because it should logically be all but there will always be random races popping up out the ether and cause random errors. Like the Lucario race that has been broken for ages and noone realized it until Sexbound threw an error. I also had a single report about the Vulpes race (I think it was? Though that thing is Starbound 1.3 ancient) to cause an error.

Just gave it a try with the argonian  using the patch and mod but nope
the npc dont react to the statue of dibella and they had both an SxB bed and one with a loungeble addon viable
the bow of Aphrodite works for the first part but then they just stand there without the menu popping up
getting the bow itself dont works either as the girl giving the quest dont joins in for the summoning ritual had to use the cheat for it
and no reaction to a wall mounted toy from lustbound either while trying to use one with my char lead to the same result as with the bow somehow

There are a number of known issues like that, if you read the "Advanced Troubleshooting Guide" available in the Sexbound GitHub, you'd likely find the answers to your problems!

Otherwise, we cannot offer much help without the very least having the Starbound log, a file made exactly for troubleshooting and knowing what's wrong with your game.

To find the log file, it should be within your Starbound installation directory, then the storage folder. You should see a text file named starbound.log (Or simply starbound, a plain text file). 1) Older version of Teratoscenes causing issues.

Overriding duplicate asset source '..\mods\SxB_-_TemTems_Teratoscenes.pak' named 'sexbound_TeratophiliaScenesPack' 
with higher or equal priority source '..\mods\TeratophiliaScenes.pak

2) Lustbound Base and Lustbound Base Manager are included in Sexbound Reborn, so this reverts scripts to older ones!

at '..\mods\Lustbound_Base_Manager.pak'


The older version of TeratooScenes (TeratophiliaScenes.pak) will replace interface code with older, pre-reborn code, thus things will break consistently.
Lustbound may cause some issues here and there, there hasn't been a whole lot of testing with mixing up both, but it's best not to include "the same mod twice" in any context.

well had the lustbound base manager in as mod too removed it also removed TemTems Teratoscenes but it still dont wants to work

But you indeed did not remove the older TemTems Teratoscenes mod.

You left the old one in, "TeratophiliaScenes.pak".

 

As the Troubleshooting Guide should have already instructed you, the right version of that mod is the one whose filename starts with "SxB_".

Fine this two pages pointed out the one kept first tho

There is no new error, so I am going to assume that the last remaining problem is just missing information on the differences between SxB and SBR. Nothing starts automatically anymore, you have to chose which position to use first. Since you have already found the GitHub page, you can read up on anything you need in the wiki.

seems to work fine now without having to change anything else so thanks a lot for your time and help

That is an empty list. It serves no purpose. If you want races to be compatible with eachother, you need to fill that list.

E.g., if you want Neki and Felin to be compatible, you'd need
