If, however, you think you fulfill all these criteria and it's still not working, then you might toss us a logfile so we can see if something is wrong.

Attempting to use a placed dildo kicks me back to the ship with the error log displaying [10:50:57.786] [Error] [SxB | STMN] : The animator could not enter the animation state : idle_toy Attempting to return to wherever said dildo was placed gets me kicked right back, I was able to fix it by going into the objects folder and temporarily removing all of the sexbound_dildo folders

I would assume you have some mod that overrides the animation file.

I will say I have a heavily modded install of the original Sexbound Reborn release, that I had to delicately bash together with this recent update so I didn't inadvertently trash the ton of work I did. Initially I thought I placed the wrong object, since the first instance was one of the dildos that has "OBSOLETE OBJECT, PLEASE DESTROY" in the .object file, but even the updated ones were giving me the same issue. Not a big deal, just thought I'd drop it in here since I found out how to undo it in case someone else does what I did and fucking softlocks themselves out of their ship or a colony they built.

(Is Loc using the obsolete ones in the vending machine?!) Either way, those old dildos aren'T even properly setup - they do not use the "idle_toy" idle animation. Furthermore, I can very much assure that that animation is defined in the animation file cause otherwise all of Lustbound would have exploded on me already. In which case, the only way in which this error should be possible is if someone overrides the animation file with an older version. In which case, most like the post-climax state wouldn't exist either and everything crashes if you were to ever climax and wait. Now, I'm just throwing the usual stuff out there (considering you said "Original" SBR release and updated, big modpack and haven't yet handed over a logfile to look at), but have you removed Lustbound Base, Base Manager and the SBR Lustbound patch after updating?

I believe the obsolete one was spawned from the Sex Box that Lustbound has, and specifically it was a blank dildo I manually admin spawned one in afterward and the pickup text showed the items name and then the obsolete message, but spawning what I believed to be one of the newer updated ones, like the species specific variants didn't display the same message on pickup, but still causes the same error. Placing it doesn't have any issue, it's when I interact with it that it gives the error, and it also shows that same error code if I enter the area where the dildo was placed as well. This made me think that maybe it had me locked trying to start the animation, but entering an animation elsewhere to see if that would effectively boot my character out of whatever it was attempting to do with the placed dildo didn't work either. Here's the log, the specific error occurs at line 1227 I'm not worried about it at all, it's such a minor feature that I was testing to see if I managed to break anything myself Everything else node and animation wise works fine, but I'm gonna go test out the other items Lustbound adds and see if all of them are having a similar issue. starbound.log

Unless there are any other errors, which we wouldn't know. So for future reference - we don'T need screenshots of your mod folder, we need the log file. The log file tells us everything about all your mods (including if they are installed correctly, which you may not know) and what's going on. 1

You have Lustbound_Base_TentacleTweak, which is an even older and even more broken version of Lustbound that should never be used in the first place, but even more so not now since Lustbound is fully integrated into SBR 1.1. 2

At this point I'm actually more surprised SxB related errors trigger at all - guess what Starbound does with wrongly installed mods is even more funky than expected. Follow the Advanced Troubleshooting Guide on how to properly install mods and everything else you might commonly run into. Also, for the future - please append your log as file, not as raw text. We all were lucky this one is so short, but you can clearly see why we want a file download instead of scrolling across this page for ages (and there is most certainly a character limit for these posts). Base Manager is also included.

monarch443 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Ive been trying to troubleshoot this for a good couple hours now. something here is causing a looping error with SxBR. once it starts it loops continually and slowly starts chugging the server until it is force stopped. Im hoping its as simple as an incompatibility or a small script fix i need to do somewhere, but if anyone has an idea what is borked here I'd appreciate the help.
