Thanks for the quick reply.  I merged the two race compatibility esm 's and it's working great.  Didn't get any error messages in game.  But now that i've tried talking to the bard again using other save files and characters, there's a big chance she won't have the dialogue.  Re-loading before meeting her woks sometimes.  Bringing her to me using the console never seems to work at all.  Maybe i'll have to switch completely to Himika's Race Compatibility esm.  The other custom race I'm using are the Custom Vanilla Races so maybe it's safe.  I'll try that and give feedback again.

There are two options:

 

1) You can download the standalone file from the DL Manager.  It's where you download the main packs, Elin bard v2, and body packs.

 

2)  You can download FoxShop Merged Armors which contains both Fox6000 armors and Tera Body armors (including Maid outfit).  I linked to the posts made by SmokerMegDrive in my first post under "PART 2 of 3 - Elin Race Additional Downloads and Installation Order".

I'll be releasing the new bodies soon.  I had some problems with Gimp suddenly becoming extremely buggy and couldn't do any more texture optimizations, but, after searching around for a solution, found out that the Linux version is far more stable.  I'm now working on the textures on my Linux laptop. 

 

During the downtime, I decided to maybe release the new bodies and later release the optimized textures.  This gave me the idea of adding the bodies to BodyChanger.  I have everything set up, now I need to do some testing.  If successful, this can be a better alternative to a body pack that involves installing a particular body and textures.  If it does not work, I'll then release new body packs with the current texture sets and update the textures later.

 

 

UPDATE

Change of plans.  I tried BodyChanger and the game crashes as soon as a save is loaded.  I'll tinker with it some more, but for now, I'm going to upload the new bodies with two texture sets each (CBBE and UNP).  This will be something of a "pre-release" because once I'm done optimizing all of the custom textures, I'm releasing the full packs with the new bodies.  I'll try to have the pre-release done by tomorrow.

Can you slightly modify how Elins race is made during character creation so that you can select which elin ears and tails for different combinations?

That would only be possible if I create the HeadParts (in CK) for every combination of tail/ears (the tails are "extra parts" and need to link to the ears for the combo to work) or I create separate sliders for the tails and ears so that they are chosen separately.  Adding new sliders is something totally new to me at this time.

UPDATE

The new Elin bodies are available with some textures.

• 3 CBBE bodies (Slim, BBP AA2C, TBBP AA2C).
• 3 UNP bodies (Flat-chest, non-BBP Flat2C, TBBP Flat2C).
• Animations and skeletons included.  No standing animations to avoid conflicts with the Elin Idle.
• Tested and did not notice any breast and butt glitches.
• Optimized textures.  6 total (3 CBBE + 3 UNP)(Normal, Fair-skin, Sunburn Bikini).
• Compatible with the original body packages.  If you have the original custom Elin BBP bodies, just install the new bodies over them.  You can only install matching body types (CBBE -> CBBE or UNP -> UNP).

IMPORTANT

The new bodies are meant to be used with the new skeletons.  Together they give the Elins their unique shape.  Do not use the new bodies with old skeletons or the new skeletons with the old bodies.

Thank you, but I need to finish optimizing the remaining custom textures before moving on to fixing the installer for the Little Monli then work on the Elin's new look.  There are also some other additions I would like to make, but one project at a time.

Yeah keep up the good work psychomachina. I have a question though, the new elins won't play the immersive animations. When I install it, it doesn't seem to work and the equip/unequip animations are still the same with vanilla.

Did it work before?  I had a look at the Immersive Animations comment section and the problem you are experiencing seems to be a common occurance with other people.

 

Try this,

• Uninstall Immersive Animations and Dual Sheath Redux.
• Reinstall DSR and the BBP or TBBP files from the new body pack (if you chose those options).
• Run the DSR patcher and check the animations or lack there of.
• If the animations are working properly, I can safely say the problem is with Immersive Animations.

Personally, even though I downloaded the complete IA pack, I'm hesitant to install it.  Right now, I'm in no mood to deal with problems introduced by someone elses mod that is "iffy" as evident in the mod's comment section.

Usually, I would end up sneak killing Heimskr because it always annoyed me how he'd sit there all day yelling, but I think this time he deserves to live. lol

 

edit: Are the Elin npc's and followers meant to have bigger heads and taller bodies btw? They're slightly bigger than my Elin character.

I didn't even use the NPC replacer options They are still everywhere even with just the new NPC option.

Eh, it was an option in the NPC installer.  There were 3 I think regarding that.  It was having new Elin NPCs, having enemy Elin NPCs and replacing all NPC with Elin version.

As for their physical appearance.  The vanilla armors/clothes they wear will make the body slightly thinner thus making their head look bigger.  If you see taller Elin npcs, that is the result of a Skyrim bug and how the game resizes the npcs when they hit certain animation markers.  Certain objects, like chairs, counters, and forges uses a flag that scales the npc according to their race.  The problem is that a smaller, custom race will scale to adult height when they activate those animations.  When the Elin npc cycles through those animations long enough, they get stuck at the adult height.

 

The solution, as I have found, is to remove the ScaleToRace flag, but that will cause clipping issues with vanilla races and serious clipping issues with the Elins.

Elin NPC.  Changes only the "named" npcs (i.e. Ysolda, Lydia, Aela, etc.).

 

New Elin NPC.  Adds new npcs.  They have generic names (i.e. Whiterun guard, hunter, sorceror, etc.).

 

Elin Enemy.  Randomly changes enemies into Elins.  This does not add to the count, rather it's like a replacer.  If you save your game before engaging an enemy encampment, you might see some of them are Elins.  If you reload from the last save and visit the encampment again, all enemies might be of a vanilla race and no sign of Elin.  The replacement is random.
