CrazoAmazo Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 The last time I played, I rocked through the Lost Knife hideout with my dual-wielding Khajiit fursona. Lydia brought up the rear with her bow as we crept through the darkness, my blades in hand as I readied myself for anything to happen. I spotted two bandit sentries sitting at a bonfire, gulping down some drinks that stunk of alcohol. Creeping upon them from the darkness of a nearby crevice, I waited and listened for anything useful to spill from their lips. Nothing but ale and belches came from their mouths. So, I stood, shadowing over the first sentry, my blades (a terrifying orcish longsword with a wicked bite in my right hand, and a solid, sturdy dwarven blade in my left) in hand, a smile spreading across my lips as his friend's jaw dropped to the floor. They both dropped soon after. Leaving the unconscious sentries behind to stew in their own blood and drink, Lydia and I slunk through the dim cavern, stepping over puddles of accumulated water as we came to a bridge of natural stone arcing over a lake of water beneath us. Torches and alarms (composed of animal bones tied together with string which clanked loudly when disturbed) lead the way across the narrow earthen pass, and Lydia was quick to silently point out a few guards equipped with bows standing upon a balcony of stone overlooking the massive cavern. I drew my blades once more and threw caution to the wind, bounding across the bridge as Lydia notched and let fly arrow after arrow to distract the guards. I made my way across the rocky bridge, clashing with two more bandits upon a circular pass wrapped around a natural pillar. They were well-armed, each carrying twin great-axes of steel, and the bandits themselves were quite obviously twins as well. I clashed with the brothers, dodging and dipping in and out of range as I laid nick and cut into their fur armor. Little by little I chipped away at them, until their rage spilled out in one large double attack. They rushed me, axes high, swinging in a large X pattern to close me in between them. I sprinted through their open flanks, sliding my blades across their legs as I went, dropping the brothers to the ground in crippled heaps. Lydia soon rejoined me, pulling an arrow from her shoulder and swigging down a potion I had brewed some time earlier. We made our way across another narrow path of rock, deeper into the cave. EDIT: This is the fourth post in a row of mine (I'm pretty sure) that has ended up making a new page on a thread. Do I get a prize?
labrat Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 "Liberated" an imperial stronghold. Me and Rolof were the only survivors - there were a few "friendly fire" incidents in all the confusion, lucky Rolof is "essential". As a reward Ulfric let me buy an expensive house...hmmmm. The previous occupant had a little hobby. The decorators could have cleaned up, instead of just adding my new stuff on top.....
Evilokami Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I searched for stuff to make armor... Trying to find stuff to make health potions. But I can never find enough of ingredient B.
polluxval Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 tried to convert all npcs to female with no success. ill need to wait for CS to release the L world skyrim version...
DocClox Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I just started a new char, basically with the intention of exploring the vampire life in Skyrim. Breton mage relying on stealth and magic. She doesn't even carry a dagger. So, on getting out of the tutorial, I ran down to the Whiterun stables, hired a cart to Morthal, did the Jarl quest, and with a mix of persistence and rank cowardice, managed to get myself infected before killing Morvath. Three days at the local inn later and I'm one of the undead. That crap bard makes a useful food source, I'm finding. Only trouble is, I didn't get around to killing Alva in the dungeon. I was going to try using her house as a base, but I walked right into her and had to exercise the better part of valour once again. Next thing I know, there's a trio of orc thugs hunting me through the swamps "to teach me a lesson". You get three guesses who sent them. And the first two don't count. You know what I'd like? I'd like a mod that lets me hire one of those thug squads myself. I want to pay them to drag Alva beaten and bloody before me, and then watch as the three of them see how many different ways they can think of to bang her. Just, you know, "to teach her a lesson".
threeddd33 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Has anyone seen cleared ruins being taken over by Leigon/Stormcloaks? I cleared one fort of Necromancers and popped back there later to find Imperial soldiers everywhere. It'd be kind of cool if that could happen to anything you clear.... including a city. You kill everything in Whiterun, except essential, then go back later to find bandits/necromancers/witches/giants etc. had overrun the city.
labrat Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Yep. I was pleasantly surprised too, when returning to a cleared site found that Necromancers had taken over an old Bandit lair, and one fort had two different Bandit gangs, then the Legion took it over. The more I learn about the Radiant Quest AI the more excited with Skyrim I get.

It would be nice if you saw more interaction with the various factions at some of these forts without your character necessarily needing to be involved. Stormcloaks and Imperials launching small assaults on each others forts. Bandits and necromancers fighting for turf. I mean, there are a LOT of empty jail cells in this game. I guess it could be that Imperials and Stormcloaks don't take prisoners of war, and nobody ever gets arrested but your character.
Tregarin Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 The previous occupant had a little hobby. The decorators could have cleaned up' date=' instead of just adding my new stuff on top..... [/quote'] Dammit... that's where I left all my stuff...
Tregarin Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Lessee... what've I done over the last few days while my net has been fucked up? Hmm... tried to kill everyone in Sovngarde. (didn't work that well) Tried to kill the GreyBeards... (really didn't work that well, fuckers just shouted me all over the place, and off the side of the mountain) Married Ysolda, then did the Sanguine quest... which sent me to Ysolda to repay her for a wedding ring. Got all the elf bloods gathered, saw the old git get killed, picked up the book, couldn't figure what to do with it, so deleted it from my inventory... then discovered it gives a nice skill boost when you read it a second time. Oh, and did the GoldenGlow infiltration quest by wading in with a pair of daggers and killing the fucking lot of them. Fuck stealth!
marrow12 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Currently doing a super masochistic playthrough to keep things interesting, playing as a warrior only taking perks in one handed and block, wearing only robes, absolutely no armor or enchantments, using one handed weapons without a shield on master difficulty. I die so much it feels like it's call of duty.
RustyXXL Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Rerolled, because I got bored with sneaking...well at least for now...^^ Ralof got stuck in the first room, killed one of the stormcloaks because he suddenly ran between me and that imperial, and the other ones got killed by the imperials...after beating the shit out of that bear skyrim ctd'ed while running back to Ralof, to see if he'd finally decide to flee with me.... Next try I ran to the Embershard mine...came to this bridge wich you have to activate, attacked the 2 guys on the bridge. Killed the first, the second one fell of the bridge and at the same time Skyrim CTD'ed again... guess I'll go back to my lvl50 sneaky assassin...almost got no crashes with her....
threeddd33 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Did anyone do Daedra's Best Friend Quest and expect Clavicus Vile to say.... "There wolf.... there castle."
Thorazine Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I have a list! Not too long after I first started (few weeks ago), I was randomly attacked by a Dark Brotherhood Assassin when leaving Whiterun. Still don't know who wanted me dead. About two days ago, when trying to get to Riften, was going to check out the stone close by. Was trying to fight the conjurer and his Frost Atronach when some random fugitive ran up to me to give whatever item he stole. Couldn't get out of the conversation fast enough and ended up dead. Slightly later, still outside of Riften, somehow got the attention of three trolls, a Frostbite Spider, a bear, a skeever, and a Bandit Highwayman. Didn't last long. Once fast traveled in to Riften to find a dragon attacking, watched as about fifteen guards appeared and slaughter the poor thing. When traveling to the Shrine of Azura, saw a dragon. Wouldn't attack me until I climbed on to a rather high rock and shoot him with an arrow. Took three or four reloads before I could kill him. He'd randomly fly off and not return. figured out how to kite three giants and a mammoth with an unupgraded elven bow (flame enchanted) and iron arrows. The mammoth somehow aggro'ed me about the time I was fighting and killed my fourth(?) dragon. Had another dragon attack me when I was walking by the Thalmor Embassy, interesting watching the guards go up against the dragon. Speaking of Thalmor, ended up clearing out Northwatch Keep in order to rescue Thorald Gray-Mane. That is all. Oh, and I'm still a werewolf even after completing the Companion main quest, and I've yet to try transforming.
Ryanhabs Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I sat around for hours staring at the steam download screen waiting for 3.2Gb of data to be updated... somehow 3 BSA files got corrupted. Thankfully I have a skyrim disk that appears to be 100% useless.
LibidoKnievel Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I took a bunch of screenshots of 2pac4eva's new skimpy armors, upgraded my smithing about 60 points with ingots I bought at the console, set Lydia up with some upgraded burdens and then set out to join the Legion. then I saved before actually doing much and went to work.
Glugg Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I beat up a bunch of Silver Hand peeps while Vilkas dithered about being useless. Then I trudged to Dawnstar only to remember that the carriage only goes TO Dawnstar, not FROM it. Then I said "Sod it, let's just pretend there's a carriage, m'kay?" and fast-traveled back to Whiterun to watch Codsmack's corpse get set on fire.
koocamunga Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Took my heavy armored werewolf Fenrir out for a stroll today. He is a user and abuser of one handed summoned swords and shields. Just after giving some random orc a good death by devouring him, I started walking down a long narrow mountain pass. (i forget where since i don't check my map often) I came across an elder dragon with a really pissed off look on its face which decided it was time to try and bbq me. Well since I have fire resistant ebony armor its fire spraying runs were just a minor annoyance. I figured I'd just let it get sick of blowing fire at me and chop it up when it landed. Worked fine for the first 3 mins or so, until i started running out of hp potions. Turns out dragons won't land unless they have a nice flat area or something to perch up on not too high above you. Since there was no area it could land, it just repeatedly flew by spraying fire so i had to make a run for it. Ran for a good while with it chasing me until i finally got to an area it could land then promptly opened a can of dragon kick ass on it =) (Abbreviated version) Me see dragon. Dragon spit fire. Me no like fire. Me run. Dragon chase. Dragon land on ground. Me kill dragon. Cheese was had.
Thorazine Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Went to the Markarth Shrine of Talos... ...oops.
polluxval Posted January 24, 2012 Author Posted January 24, 2012 checked new armors and done anything but kill some bandits. also i find this image its great XD
Shizune Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Through the past week I've been buying components to my computer such as RAM, new graphics card spedning about £150 on it but I guess it was worth it. I've finally bought Skyrim and now I'm off to play it!
DorkDiva Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I killed Alduin, again... for like the 8th time now.
