Kuroshu Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I just played it today on a friend's 360. Today I escaped my death sentenced. Just to be killed by a mudcrab. That's all...
DocClox Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I watched in amazement as Shadowmere, the original irresistible force, turned tail and ran for his life. Admittedly, he was being chased by a trio of frost trolls, but even so, I never thought I'd live to see the day. Not that I was much help. All four of them ran off faster than I could follow (well, maybe if I stopped sneaking...) so I gave up on following and decided to climb to Azura's shrine on foot. And then, just as I found the ascent, Shadowmere came into sight again having been chased right around the mountain, and a with few well firebolts, I was able to even the odds a little.
slacore Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 About an hour ago, I was just gallivanting around. Suddenly, what I assume to be an argonian dark bortherhood assassin jumps out and assassinates me. I reload my save. Wandering along the same route right after I reload, I get attacked by a group of bandits masquerading as a legion patrol and get overwhelmed in moments. I reload my save again. Along the exact same path, I again get attacked, this time by a dragon with a NAME. Which is kinda odd, for me anyway, 'cause the only dragons I've seen with names are the ones in the story, like Odahviing or Paarthurnax, but his name began with a "V" I think, sorry I can't remember. Anyway, he casually bites my head off and throws my lifeless body across the field. I then reload for a third time. As I resume my trek through the valley of death for a fourth time, I encounter a tranquil scene of rabbits and deer. Very peaceful.
Ryanhabs Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I started my second character today. After playing with the minimal adjustments for about 45 mins I felt I made the best looking dark elf I could make at this time. Then upon making my way through the start sequence and escaping Helgen I decided to ~tfc and take a good look over Kaori. I then noticed I didn't like the hair style she had and I hated the fact dark elves only get black, red or blind eyes. I went mod hunting and found a mod that gives elves the human hair options, and a mod called bright eyes that added blue eyes with a red outer ring for dark elves. After loading those in the game I ~showracemenu'd my changes and was once again happy.
Zenduchy Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Today i created 200 iron daggers to level up my smiting to 100:P then i when to mine some ebony ore and some daedra hearts for my armor then i killed that aldyim(black Dragon) or whatever he is called later i decided to became a thief and saved because i was to sleepy
Ryanhabs Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Today I called a peace council on behalf of the Greybeards and I don't remember a thing that happened. General Tullius and the Imperial representatives set a trap! They had a clever distraction in place to assure they got a better deal during the negotiations. LOL I then went and helped this kid who felt he was being mistreated. Got someone's finger painting delivered to me and decided to take a nap. I woke up to this oddly sexy ninja on a bookshelf! Then I called it a day.
Zeroda Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Today I chatted with Paarthunax about life and philosofy and he told me to have patience about some situations that's unfolding. Then I went home and gave my wife a good lovin'. After that I told her to cook something for me before I went outside to have a chat with the Jarl, then I took a blasted arrow in the knee...but healed myself through that! Then I called it a day
sora3 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Basically, got my arse handed to me a few times, especially Red Eagle which killed Lydia. So I resurrected her via console and was happy. After that, headed up to Winterhold and decided to check out the Shrine of Azura up there. However, Radiant AI spawn 3 dragons up there so that ended up with me dead again. >
Tregarin Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Finally got maxed skills in Enchanting, Alchemy (which took a shit ton of stuff... I swear they've got the skill curve on that fucked) and Smithing... then, using the DragonWeapons and Scaling Destruction mods, I crafted myself a Dragon Bow and two Dragon swords... Then I enchanted the bow... it now does 265 base damage, with 113 fire and 89 shock damage on top.
Presto Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Learned to exploit the Fortify Restoration potions to make outlandish gear and then found an invisible chest of a merchant in Dawnstar that respawns. Essentially broke the game so I dumped my super gear and stopped taking free stuff from the chest. About to wander the open map and see what kind of random encounters I can come across.
Ryanhabs Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I finally found all 24 unusual gems and completed the next step Vex gives you in that quest line. (I had to "cheat" a bit for about 6 of the locations). I then married Jarl Elsif of Solitude and promptly put her in her place by telling her to make my dinner. Other than that I really didnt do much else.
Alyss Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I got married too; Lydia and I tied the knot earlier today in a brief and intimate ceremony:
Ryanhabs Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 At least Lydia wore clothes to your wedding! She crashed mine and showed up in her birthday suit. Elsif was not too happy. LOL
Alyss Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It's bloody hilarious when she does that but also turns up dead.
Zeroda Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I would've used my one handed "B-slap of the bitch-slaying" that party crasher for sure. But I was reading "The Lusy Agronian Maid" which was quite interesting... Now back to dragon hunting
Siouliusn Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I haven't left a single CityGuard or Prison's guard alive in Markath : NO one double-cross the dunmer that has just maxed out the sneak tree skills !!!! xD (and I've let the new Che escape~)
DocClox Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Got a bounty to kill a dragon south of Riften. So I fast travelled to the Shadow Stone as a starting point. I went in sneaking, because i know that black mages are drawn to the stone. So I arrive and back away carefully. Shadowmere decides to advance and triggers the mage. Then the dragon flies overhead and starts hosing down the mage. I decide to back away some more and leave the three of them to sort it out among themselves for the time being. Then some bastard hits me with a frostbite from behind. I gulg a much-need potion of extreme healing, with a brief invisibility chaser, turn, roll and take stock of the situation. Turns out there are four black mages; three more than I was expecting. Shadomere seems to be focus of all attention now they've lost track of me, so i sneak up behind one of them and cut loose with my matched daggers, Scaremonger and Soulsnatcher. He goes down in a most satisfactory manner. When the dust settles, it turns out that this is a hit squad sent to avenge the necromancer in the Azura quest. Dead twice over and the miserable sod is still being a pain in the neck. I have no idea what happened to the dragon. Anyway, with the distractions taken care of, I head up to the dragon roost. And straight into the automatic defence mechanisms, I just about got as far as thinking "gee, that looks like a soul gem floating over that pile of rocks" when the damn thing one-shotted me. Reload, and back to Riften. So I try again. This time I hit the mage with a couple of electric arrows before he has chance to say anything. The dragon turns up again and is dispatched with a shout and a couple of arrows while it was unwisely trying to eat Shadowmere. A quick detour to sell and store some dragon parts, and it's back to the shadow stone again. This time I run into a band of orcs in imperial armour who try to shake me down for 100 gold. I get some mileage out of my new invisibility spell, and snipe and kite until the three of them run into my faithful four-legged friend. Even with the horse occupying their attention, they take a lot of dropping. Turns out they're bandits who mugged a trio of imperials and took their armour. I had my suspicions, I must admit. Then back up the stairs to the dragon roost. I was ever so careful when I got the place with magical defences, but in the end they weren't there this time. I guess that was another random encounter. So I continued up to the roost, which had another dragon sat on top if it, and just for giggles decided to sneak up to the wall and see if I could steal the Word without the dragon noticing. It almost worked. When last seen, I was running headlong down the stairs, pursued by an angry frost dragon and thinking "oh shit oh shit oh shit there's nothing here to hide behind ..."
Callipygic Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 So today I was in Riften, and some stupid Nord woman called Mole or Moron or something kept whining about her sword that she lost somewhere. So, to shut her up, I made her show me where it was on this useless map I can't get rid of, and hiked all the way out there. There were some bandits out front... seriously, they're everywhere, the Legion really are useless... so I shot them in the face. One of them fell off the cliff after I shot him, which made me smile. There were some bandits inside, so I shot them in the face as well. Then I found some of those mechanical spider things. I'm not sure which bit was the face, but a couple of arrows took care of them anyway. Maybe there's a book somewhere, with a picture that shows the face... I'll have to ask those milk drinkers at the magic college. I found some Falmer a bit lower. They creep me out quite a bit, them and their slimy houses. Face-shooting still works though. I cut the ears off some of them, and ate one... it made me feel sick, so it should be good for poison making. Eventually I found a big mechanical thing in a big frame. It climbed out of the frame and stumped around looking mean, so I shot it till it stopped moving and fell apart. The sword was in a corner, so I took it back to the blue-face woman. Now she keeps following me around. Maybe I'll shoot her in the face.
Quemon Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Well, i'm just roleplaying with my level 5 character. Currently i'm in Markath, doing the mission of the fornsworn.
KinkieGurl Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I had an awesome mind-boggling battle... with crashes. Basically, I loaded the game, travelled to a major city, tried to do something fun and crashed. Tried to enter a building and crashed. In addition to crashing like crazy, I slit the throat of my Nth DB assassination target, killed a blood dragon that wreaked havoc among the chickens of Ivarstead, stole a tiara from a Dibella priestess during a ritual (which, unfotunately, did not involve anything LoversPK-ish ).
DocClox Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I went hunting. My last char never really got good enough with either stealth or bow to do this. I'd fire an arrow at a stag, and the damn thing would go bounding away at warp factor five with my arrow sticking in its arse. Tried it again today: used the archery zoom perk to see the prey before it saw me, and dropped it with one shot. So I scooted down the road still in sneak mode and examined my kill. And I was sat there, feeling quite impressed with myself for such a small accomplishment, when I noticed there was a rabbit sat next to me, also looking at my kill. It was close enough to reach out and touch, and completely unaware of my presence. The odd thing is, I reacted just like I would in the real world: I just stood and stared at it, lost in a little sense of wonder at being so close to such a wild creature. That's one of the things I like about Skyrim; the fact that it's realistic enough to trigger these unexpected real world reactions. Like sssh! look! there's a rabbit, and it hasn't seen us yet... Then Lydia came along, casually killed the damn thing and threw the corpse away. She knows how to break the atmosphere, does that girl. I had to walk a hundred yards back down the path before I even found the remains. Still, at least I got a rabbit haunch out of the deal. Mustn't grumble and all that...
DocClox Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I have a new hobby. I've been fighting a lot of necromancers lately, and I don't know if you've noticed, but with necromancers you have to kill everybody twice. Once when you kill them, and then again after their friends re-animate them. It's a pain. I started out trying to work out the optimal kill order: kill the re-animator and the zombie dies too. Those black robes make them all look the same though. So I started stripping the corpses so I could tell them apart, and so they didn't have any weapons they could use in zombie form. Of course, I generally tend to strip the female ones anyway. Someday, some future historian is going to puzzle over the mystery of the unseen killer that left corpses all over Skyrim, the females all stripped naked with their armour folded neatly next to the corpse... Anyway, back to the necromancers. The logical next step, it occurred to me, was to reanimate the corpse myself. I mean they can't use it if it's already working for me, right? And after it turns to dust, it's no further use to either side. So, I re-animated this novice necromancer. It's quite a satisfying feeling: there's this woman who five minutes ago was trying to kill you. Now she's standing naked before you waiting to obey your every command. Well... not every command, obviously. Not yet. But even so, they're naked before you, and you can look 'em up and down insolently, maybe deliver a verdict on what you see. "Whoo, nice gams!" or "shake that tush for me, baby". OK, I know that seems a bit crude and chauvinistic, but you got to remember, these chicks were just trying to kill me. I figure I'm entitled to a bit of payback. And they like it when you treat them like that. Zombies are supposed to be all cold and unfeeling, but they really get excited. You can tell because they make these little moaning sounds. "Urrr... Urrr..." Of course, I can only do the low level ones at the moment. I try and raise the really dangerous ones and nothing really happens. But I figure I got time to learn the advanced stuff yet. One of these days, it's going to be "So, Potema the Wolf Queen, hey? Tell me babe, are those things natural, or did you have them magically enhanced?"
