Hi... Really sorry to ask this, and have tried to find this by searching page by page, but where is the link to the guide that highlights "how" to flag a mod to ESL?   I know it's here, but just can't find it... Thanks... Appreciate it....   BTW.. really appreciate this guide... has gotten me back into Skyrim, so thank you.

I have some strange eyes and the aylis breton preset doesn't look right. Does anyone know what iI'm doing wrong? I've re done the list 3 times now, also the carriages are weirdly physics freaking out at the beginning when you see them coming down the hill

I have a problem. I used Beth.ini to change my resolution to 3440x1440, but it's not real resolution because i can see messing the folders on my second monitor. The character looks chubby as hell. Took a screenshot, and in screenshot it looks good, screenshot is at 1980x1080. I keep trying messing with skyrimprefs.ini, displaytweaks, but i can't figure it out. It's killing me. Everything is set at 3440x1440, so idk where else to look

The 3440x1440 only stretches everything out

 

NVM. Fixed it. After few hours of searching about resolution finally found out that Mo2 has another set of ini that override everything.

It is relatively easy to flagg an ESP as ESL so it won't take a slot in the limited space for ESP. As it might cause problems i recommend to do it one by one and test the game for stability issues. But usually it should cause no issues if you follow those steps:

1. Start 'Wrye Bash' via MO2

2. Look for the mod you wan't to flagg as ESL.

3. Check if it shows up with a 'green' text (those are the ones that can possibly be converted).

5. If a window pops up listing it as 'ESL Capable' proceed with the next step.

6. Rightclick on the ESP again and select 'Add ESL Flag'.

1. Pics belong in spoilers!

2. Those are the added replacers for eyes. Simply select in the slider section a color you like.

3. If you want to get the ini for a new setup ignore those bugs.

 

All(!) alternate start mods break the vanilla start. So either go vanilla (without an alternate start mod) or use the alternate start mod and don't go for a vanilla start. The vanilla start is so heavily scripted (and easily broken) that i don't recommend using it anyway.

The load/install process is complete! Only problem so far is needing to track down a misbehaving texture mod. I chose 'Forsworn' to test skins and hair as quickly as possible. Some but not all of the bodies are the blue of missing textures, and this chap only has missing textures on his hands. It doesn't seem consistent. Could be a memory issue, could be a mod. Thoughts?

Might be a glitch of 'Alternate Perspective'. Try leaving the cave and then reentering it. Otherwise it could be a broken armor or skin.

 

I've been in the Reach today (trying to find the Paladin) and got no issues with the Forsworn.

Did some wandering around, and it shows up on more than Forsworn. Time to start figuring out which skin is broken!

@Aylis I see you're in testing with Naked Defeat.  I'm going to try it out as well, but looking through the thread it looks like there is an additional mod that may help with script hang.

Try the files for RBT first. Those are most likely the ones causing issues.

I own the full AE upgrade, but have not moved from SE yet (almost 2.5 years on current play thru!). So I can't speak to your actual choices, but you tend to have pretty good taste so I appreciate your opinions on the AE mods for when I do move up. I say its useful, and look forward to more of it!

Nice update! I've been meaning to try the alchemy overhaul, so glad to see it works out in your LO.

I still get confused about when/if it's a good idea to get the parallax versions of mods like FYX, or just get the vanilla ones. My understanding is that:

a) this list is designed to work for parallax textures

b) some mods that have parallax textures don't do it very well, and are better with separate patches

c) parallax can cause some pretty annoying visual glitches if everything isn't loaded right.

 

So from that I'm usually guessing that, unless otherwise noted, parallax textures on new mods are usually recommended or at least fine to install. Very used to being wrong though!

Nope, you nailed it. ?

 

The issue with parallax is that it can decrease the FPS. So i leave it a bit open to you guys and gals if you want to use it. It won't be an problem, otherwise i'd include a warning, but in the end you have to see if your system can handle it.

Yep, i did.

 

But i prefer the replacer we got now. I tried to mix both mods to get the best of both. But, as you know, that didn't work out too well.

I specifically mentioned Serana because so far we were using BB Dawnguard Serana and because of the many many Serana replacers she no longer is included in NITHI Dawnguard.
Once you get to 'I need to start a new game anyway so I can toss BB Dawnguard while I am at it' her facegen would be from Cosmetic Vampire Overhaul and nobody deserves that. ?

I need help or a point in the right direction. I know this isn't the best place to ask, but I have to start somewhere. My issue is that XPMSE won't load, therefore, physics are broken and I do not know what happened. Played last night just fine, played this morning and I entered the 7th circle of hell, apparently. Here's what I've tried so far (in no particular order:

 

1. Reinstalling XPMSE.

2. New game.

3. Moving XPMSE to (almost) last in load order.

4. Verified that the XPMSE plugin is active.

5. Delete all FNIS and Nemesis files and re-run.

6. Disable XPMSE, load game, save, clean via Re-Saver, enable XPMSE, load game.

7. Re-run anything that has to do with SMP, or physics (body, body physics, etc.).

8. Verify that NOTHING is overwriting any files from XPMSE (except for ones that were stated to via mods from guide).

9. Search the internet to see if anyone had the same issue and try their fixes (recommended steps were mostly mentioned in the above steps).

10. Wait for about 15 real life minutes for everything to load.

11. Load a few saves before to see if issue went away.

 

Pretty sure that's everything. I updated nothing, so the mod list is the same as it was before this issue started. If ANYONE has ANY suggestions, I'm open to hear and try them out. For the life of me, I can't figure out WHY it suddenly stopped loading XPMSE. When you go to the MCM menu, it said "You failed, try again" under the section that says what plugins you have (don't know how to explain, but I hope you know what I'm talking about). Usually it says "You barely made it!", but now it doesn't. Again, I welcome any suggestions and help. Thank you in advance for your time!
