@Jessica_Degurechaff No input to make other than to say I also really think we need a full NPC replacer. Like another 100% NPC one. Ugh. It's really offputting to have a beautiful world and fugly NPCs.

 

@SnabelArne I second what @ZeusKingOfGods said. It's crashed for me a lot in BFB too. If you want to make sure, you can install Crash Logger at the bottom of the SKSE section. If it lists "Skyrim.esm" and "draugr_something" close together, that's what is doing it.

 

@Chekist For Fort Dawnguard, make sure you have the patches for Palaces and Castles Enhanced list as instructed here under section "2" on the first stickied post. It did the same thing to me but that fixed it.

 

@rb1981 I would avoid merging unless like Aylis said it's a patch and the mod author instructs that to be the way you install it. Merging should mess with your plugin load order though. Are you enabling each mod as you go along? Some mods depend on other mods being enabled during their FOMOD install and that could end up giving you some missing master plugins, but even that's a stretch. Can you list a few of the ones you're missing? Missing Masters means the expected plugin is completely missing, but Delinquent Masters means you just have two plugins out of order, so all you'll really need to do is make sure to swap them.

 

Nemesis will crash because it's Nemesis and it loves to crash. It crashes for me about 30% of the time whenever I run it. But it will definitely crash if you're not checking the right boxes. Make sure to put a check in anything you're using. For the list, that would be Book of Shadows, Eating Animations, and Payload Interpreter (I may have missed one or two).

 

@alaunus01 I tossed WACCF too. It kept giving me the shitty vanilla armor and Wrye wasn't catching it. There's an optional plugin that is supposed to help Wrye figure out which one to use, but it didn't make much of a difference to me. I don't really like it anyway.

"Missing Masters" is you are missing something you should have installed. You'll need to figure out which mods you need to install/reinstall. Wrye Bash will give you the name of the missing esm/esp, as will MO2 (the red triangle top right with the yellow dot on it).

"Delinquent Master" is just a load order issue. Wrye Bash tells you which esp/esm needs to be moved. Use MO2's plugin tab (right hand pane) to shuffle things around until it becomes happy.

My approach to mods that prompt to merge or overwrite, is (unless Aylis says merge or overwrite) to cancel and install it as a new mod with a different name (which does result in a mod list that goes: Mod, Mod - USSEP patch, Mod - Texture Update, Mod - Othermod compat...). This allows uninstalling or changing the load order of the patches without reinstalling all the mod and patches.

I reinterate what alaunus01 - install by category. Also use MO2s separators to keep things organised.

 

FNIS instead of Nemesis. If you follow the guide, Nemesis should work (for values of work that includes exiting without error messages 4 times in a row and then just working on the 5th attempt, or screwing up its own temp files to the point it won't run at all). I personally run FNIS alongside Nemesis (I should probably write up the correct way to do that at some point), and afaict there is no reason you can't just replace Nemesis with FNIS, for most things, and it should work. If it doesn't, it's probably either Book of Shadows, Eating Animations and/or Payload Interpreter (theres probably a few more I've missed). But you really should try to get Nemesis to work.

yes, the windmills are missing their sails. I guess something overrides SMIM DynDOLOD Patch for the windmills.

It doesn't need the mugshots to 'work'. The mugshots are there for the indecisive lot.

I took one of the full replacers the tool had mugshots for as a baseline. NVIVO modular sth sth. Not because they were pretty but because I was fairly certain it would recognize those as modified npcs and carry them into the merge. In time I expect most of them replaced by the NITHI remasters just needed something it would recognize as npc was changed until then.

Just for the giggles I kept the two BB companions the NITHI remaster did not have a RBT patch for too. Super easy, barely an inconvenience. ?

I actually found an obscure one that covers every single NPC ever.  (besides AE content.. but they are basically stand alone so its kinda ok)

as i have yet to have a playable Mod list (still finishing the last details + waiting for Aylis to launch the last update from 4 hours ago) i havent truly tested in game how would they look, but so far the comparison in NIFS and EasyNPC shows me better results than pandorable and other "overly chiseled" npcs (i really dislike that 80s action movie chin they decide to put on most npcs, they are pretty, but i really dislike that chin) 

 

This one looks far "softer" still pretty, the only complain its that its a bit on the asianish (or anime-ish) side of things, but so far it works the best as it covers everything and im just putting things on top of it

 

PD: To anyone who uses this mod or similar, does it works good?

You will have to install a million patches to any additional mod that populates cities with npcs, as it will directly conflict with city/town overhauls in this list. And there is a fat chance that patch for something in this list simply do not exist.

Yeah, after digging into the files of the mod it self i realized that, its pretty much impossible to even patch it your self as it takes just a single mod that changes something mayor and now your patch does not work. Sadge

Tho, at least the magic of Easy ESLfy stuff its saving my ass as i can add a ton of mods and just ESLfy their asses (if compatible)

Expanded on a few descriptions.

Added instructions how to create a texture patch for 'Female Draugr'.

The two patches for the vampires will be moved from 'Patches' to 'NPC'. That should finally fix the black face bug for them.

 

It's finally weekend and i could sleep in... But as usual i'm working on Skyrim. ?

Should I keep the mod folder in the weather and lighting section, and just move the plugin's esps down to patches? Or what? Bc I know we have some patches for these mods so I assume you don't wanna override them. Sorry if its a dumb question or badly worded.

Yeah, all the new plugins that you get when re-installing keep them in the patches section. If you leave them too high in the list they could be overwrited by other mods, though it should be fine as long as they are after all the mods they are patching. But is better to avoid conclicts.

I think it was the other bodyscale randomizer you tossed in favor of the obody solution a couple revisions ago.

Jumping from one spot to the next...

 

WACCF will be a thing of the past. Removing it seems to cause no issues.

 

PCE will be removed as well. The changes to the palaces are great, but the changes to castles not so much. Add all the flickering lighting and i'm not happy with the mod! Sometimes it is better to stick with the proven mods (aka JK). My mistake was to really check the palaces and giving the castles only a cursory look without checking every room.

I had a couple of them when I first half arsed the merge as I went along. Once I realised my impatience was to blame I took the hour?ish and made sure every NPC had the correct facegen assigned (not to mention the correct stats/perks those were really all over the place). Now that I have it set right even the NPCs it warns me about in the post built check are fine. Stendars Bacon however still is blackfacorama for me. EasyNPC leaves out stuff that it thinks is only touched by one esp, doesn't recognize the texture improvements (the reason I had to add 'some' full npc replacer to artificially create 'conflicts' and catch the 'vanilla' npcs). Outside of that edgecase I have not seen any blackface, even our beloved nord vampires behave.

 

Once the guide is back at a level where most of the NPCs are Aylis approved beautified it gets even easier. After a build one could upload the logfile which anybody with the same replacers can use to replicate the settings with a dozen mouseclicks.

Did you check the plugin order for the patches? Should be PCE.esp -> USSEP patch -> other patches. Seems to work fine for me now. (Edit: Nope, you're right. No wall mismashes, but still flickering lights.)

 

Also, avebrave has been killing it with jewelry replacers. Bunch dropped today.

Looks like Maximum Skeletons and thus corollary Maxmimum Carnage does not play nice with Creature Framework. Just a note for the fellow degenerates.

 

@Aylis Both Vanilla SMP Clothing - Fixes and Better Fur - Fine Clothes Patch link to Better Fur - Fine Clothes. I assume the correct Better Fur - Fine Clothes Patch is the one on Vanilla SMP Clothing? No clue what the Fixes link should be though.

 

Weather and Lighting:

ENB Particle Lights - Winterhold Statue is not mentioned in the changelog (or I missed it the last updates ?)

 

Sound:

Shut Up Whiterun is not present in the mainlist on page 1
