Skyrim AE for Beginners - V 3.1.0

New version of the guide for Skyrim 1.6.640 or 1.6.1170? The links for the Address Library Plugin and PapyrusUtil mods download their old versions, which do not work with the latest version of Skyrim.

The same goes for SSE Engine Fixes link.

The whole point of the update is to make the gguide work with 1170. I hate direct links...

 

All three are fixed now.

Update #8 is done. You'll find some new animals roaming the land and don't be surprised when you can hear them too.

 

Next steps will be weapons and armor.

Unneeded, but an option, you can use the full moonlight tales alongside TWO as long as you set werewolf skin in MCM to Disabled so that the default game skin (which will be TWO's if it's installed) is used instead.

I'd be wary of Estrus, as it's very script-heavy. I also had a lot of crashes with it installed. My game is heavily scripted though - you might have better luck.

Also Practical Defeat goes nicely with Acheron, highly reccomend it and it's addons.

Enoying working through this all again, honestly think I sometimes enjoy installing and configuring Mods more than actually playing the game!

 

I have a couple more queries -

 

In World - Textures [Fixes] you have FXY - Smooth Wells but you also have FYX - Smooth Wells - Water in Wells in Textures - Landscapes, do they do different things or is this a duplicate?

In World - Textures [Fixes] for the majority of the FYX mods they also have paralax versions available, should we use the paralax or standard versions?

In World - Physics - The Kanjs mods seem to be a mix of SE and LE mods, I noticed the LE versions do have SE versions available from the same author, just curious on the reasoning, did you encounter issues with the SE versions?

3. No idea what happened there... I downloaded the correct ones here (just checked), so the links should be right - but some arn't. 😲 Anyway, i just fixed them.

Nope, you don't see patches. Those are textures and it doesn't matter where the schlong comes from... Or do you think two schlongs are better than one? 🙃

Guess, i explained it wrong. the SOS mod is not in your current mod list on the first page. I guess you moved it and not back? Atlease i dont see the mod anymore in any of the sections.

All that is needed for schlongs is already in there. No further patches necessary.

I'm Fishing Here from the SKSE section requires the Suspicious City Guards mod, which is not included in the current version of the guide.

Yes, same as 'Fish anywhere'. We're not in 'Gameplay' yet.

I pushed 'Gameplay - Anatomy' ahead. Please tell me what is missing for females (males should be finished). I'm open to suggestions for bodyslides, but please nothing like this here 🤯.

@Aylis Probably worth mentioning the extra installation instructions for "Hoodies for TNG" (deleting the ESPs out of Hoodies proper so it doesn't cause a CTD).

 

Or just a "Read the instructions on the description" notice so somebody doesn't ask about it every few days.

Just going through your updated list so far and noted a few inconsistencies:

  1. Under User Interface you have RaceMenu High Heels, and under Equipment Overhaul you have Heels Fix. Heels Fix says it's a replacement for RaceMenu High Heels
  2. Under NPC - High Poly NPC Overhaul - The Great Town of Karthwasten - Great Town of Karthwasten isn't currently in the list
  3. Under World Physics - Realistic Boat Bobbing - JK's Solitude Outskirts Patch- Solitude Outskirts is not currently in the list
  4. Under User Interface - UI-Integrated Hotkeys System comments on this mod suggest it's incompatible with 1170

Maybe you're aware of these and still working through, figured I'd point them out to be helpful.

UI-Integrated Hotkeys System caused issues along the way. Will be removed.

 

Normally i like the mods from JK. But Markarth just doesn't work out. Will be removed.

 

Removed 'Acheron' from 'Gameplay - Basics'. It feels clunky and gets really bad when the enemy just leaves when you are defeated. There's a timer to get up again, but that one doesn't seem to work right. After five minutes the set 30 seconds are still not finished.

 

Added the missing 'Solitude Outskirts'. This must have slipped through when i made the update.

 

Added 'Detailed Carriages' to 'World - Textures [Details]'. I knew something was missing...

 

All done now.

Fantastic!! 

This mod might be worth an add as well (ESPFE Plugin). Moves Survival Mode's scripts to an skse plugin which makes it far more responsive. (Like getting cold on time instead of 10 mins after you should have gotten cold due to script lag.).  Survival Mode Improved - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78244?tab=files
