Hey I'm unable to initialize the mod. it says check my load order, but im using loot

which hadn't been wrong at sorting until maybe now? 
I tried to manually assign the plugin in vortex to a specific slot but it wouldn't accept any of the numbers i tried so I guess I'm a noob. 
any help would be greatly appreciated and i can put my load order up wherever is appropriate to do so.

Also I checked to make sure the order was "before the animation packs but after the hard dependencies" as another user suggested but i don't see "sex attributes" in the plugin list for vortex.  It feels like im missing a potentially basic thing here but i can't figure it out

Just a few days ago I was told something about events that are registered by scripts. In short, I discovered that “Amputator” in this context is not a soft requirement, it is a hard requirement. At least, until I restructure it, you should have it installed. 

 

The mod also doesn't get along very well if you have a lot of mods installed. Consider reducing mods, especially large ones. Mods editing the raiders are not wanted, try to play it with vanilla raiders or, edited by my "Hardcore Raiders" patches.


Finally, test it again with SKK Fast Start. A vanilla start where you quickly end up out of the Vault. 

 

Edit: Sex Attributes is a hard requierement. The mod will not be able to start if you don't have it installed.

Great mod that I've been playing the last few days and I've only ran into minimal crashes. Like twice maybe and I just reload the save and it's fine again.

 

I have a couple of questions looking at the post above. Do I really need to install "Amputator"? I'm not a big fan of that mod and the mod has worked fine for me so far without it. Just finished the cage fight right now and got a message saying my character had been a slave for 30 days. And if is now a hard requirement can I safely install "Amputator" in the middle of the mod without breaking anything?

 

Also to add to this, to my next question: I've gotten to the point where I can choose if my character will follow the junkie route or not. After making the decision, my character turned bald. Would the optional file "Slavers - No Bald Slaves Patch prevent" my character from being becoming bald or does that happen anyway?

I have amputator and sex attributes. I will get the fast start and try again. I uninstalled and reinstalled with the hardcore raiders and fast stat. Will update momentarily

Alright I guess I did a bad because now I ctd after character creation. 

I uninstalled down to 85 mods so i know i have to start new. 

added the fast start, have all other suggested dependencies (i double checked but i could be braindead lol idk) 

Not sure if the fast start is crashing though Im gonna look into it. 

How do yall prefer to see a load order uploaded?

You can block the amputation event in the MCM, miscellaneous section. As for the hair, it seems you forgot to block the hair-shaving event in the MCM, same section. 


That patch is only for slaves, not for the player. 


You can put hair on using Looksmenu if you want. My mod doesn't track that. Mind you, if the mod shaves you, slavers will mention your baldness all the way through. So my suggestion is to load a save before that event, block shaving event in the MCM and continue your game.

  • Remove that bashed patch, you don't need it. It is surely the cause of CTD because it requires mods that no longer exist. 
  • Give much more priority to my mod, let it load among the last ones. 
  • I'm not familiar with F4SS, if it's that old slave mod, uninstall it, you don't need it. 
  • AAF Spectators works fine, but I don't see it convenient with this mod. Imagine going to a private room with a client and suddenly all the clientele is going to applaud you xD
  • You don't need DenizensOfTheApocalipse - Nuka Ride Patch.esp because you don't even have Denizens. Uninstall it.

Otherwise, it looks pretty solid. If the mod starts well and works for you now, you can gradually add other mods of your interest.

Yes I must have missed that setting. I usually check through the MCM settings, but sometimes it's like my brain just doesn't register it 🤯 I will do as you suggested. Thanks for the swift response.

 

About the amputation mod. If I keep it blocked in this mod's MCM, would you still recommend I install the original amputation mod or is that not necessary? Also is it safe to install  amputation the middle of Commonwealth Slave playthrough or could that break things?

I've tried to player.placeatme but it won't work for some reason.

i had the exact same problem just now. i replayed the mission from a earlier save(one before i got teleported to corvega). apparently i missed a interaction. so just in case you did too, take the stairs (instead of elevator like i did previously) up to where the whore cage is. there is a specific interaction that happens with a NPC(sorry for being vague as i am trying to avoid spoiler) which i guess is the scripted event that you have to first do before the script activates the terminal. as after that terminal started working for me. hope this helps

JB, I completed a round of text edits (see the attached .esp and .xml). Forgive my ignorance but I don't see an option to attach files in private messages, so I thought the next best thing is to zip my edits and attach them to this message. I'm not sure which format you prefer, so I finalized the changes to the Commonwealth Slavers.esp and I also exported the changed Strings alone as an XML from xTranslator.

If you end up using these, that would be awesome! But don't feel obligated to accept every edit I made. Some of it is my own prefered style of writing and slang. I haven't had the chance to play-test all my edits, so it's possible I missed some things or even introduced a new typo somewhere.

 

Edit: Found a typo already, dangit. I'm going to remove this so it's not confused with my later post where I have the corrected changes in xml format.

eh it does not fit the story since it is a vault dweller story, But who to say a scavver will not pretend to be a vault dweller to avoid been killed since scavvers are everywhere in the wasteland and not rare like vault dwellers. Just a scavver who was exploring a vault at the wrong time. 🤭

When I remove the hard requirement in the next update you can uninstall it, as long as you have all your limbs in place, which it looks like you will since you won't be using it. But right now you need it even if you don't use it. 


It's safe to uninstall it mid-save as long as you have all your limbs in place.

I recently discovered that there is no option to attach in private unless you are a contributor. 

 

Edit: Do you have the .eet file? That's the one that allows me to inject your corrections to my plugin.

I can't believe it. I completely forgot about the elevator. That explains why some people can't interact with the terminal...  Well, in the next update I'm going to disable the elevator so there's no choice but to use the stairs.

Well, being another race, AAF is not going to recognize them and you also have to make dicks for them. That's a field I don't know much about, since I never worked with races. But Ulferto wanted to do it and the original mod author didn't let him.

Ok so I did this stuff, found out you sometimes need to manually remove "ghosted" plugins because they still show up in LOOT and got it to work up until the whorehouse part where it randomly ctd

I tried to sstart it back up and it ctd at loading screen. 

I went to make a new character and now it always just CTD after character creation when it starts initializing all the mods. 

it says AAF loads, and then Devious devices, but before i get the CS started pop up it freezes for about 10 seconds and the CTD. 

I'm gonna attach the load order in spoiler. 

PS, I couldn't get it to boot at all with fast start, but it booted and played until whorehouse with Start me up ( the old one redux didn't work)

I honestly don't see anything wrong with your modlist. Some might tell you to take out ArmorKeywords, but little else. 

 

Do you have buffout installed? It gives more stability to the game. A lot more. And the best thing is that you get a log every time you crashes. You can attach your log here in the forum and I'll take a look at it, to see what could be giving problems.

Where do I find the crash logs? In %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE , you should find crash -prefixed . log files.

 

Just remember that SKK Fast Start and Start Me Up are not compatible. You have to choose one or the other or you will have CTD. I recommend SKK because it is much less loaded with scripts and makes less edits to the vanilla game.

Thanks! Hmm. I'm very new to using xTranslator, so I'm not even sure what an .eet file is or how to generate one. I couldn't find a way to make an .eet file in xTranslator, but maybe I'm blind. I did however have some success injecting my changes and testing them out in my own game.
In xTranslator, I did these steps:
1. clicked File --> Load Esp/Esm --> Commonwealth Slavers.esp
2. clicked File --> Import Translation --> XML Files (xTranslator) --> (my) Commonwealth Slavers_en_en.xml
3. Overwrite Everything and Use FormID references
4. clicked File --> Finalize Esp/Esm.
I'm not sure those steps are 100% correct, but it seems to work. Would that work for you? Here's the most up to date version of my changes with a second round of proofreading, both as an xml dictionary of all the strings and as an xml dictionary of only the strings I modified. Just delete the 'changesonly' or 'everything' extension I added to the filenames first.
