I could maybe split the pack so that Bodyslide is fully apart....means about 3 GB would be less: 7 GB 7z and another 3GB-body-slide PATCH-means you install ZAP and then you PATCH it with the suiting BS-file of your choice......(I will try to do that as soon I have CBBE-HDT-ready).

That still doesn't solve the quota issue...

Splitting this work has never been acceptable, I am really sorry.

Not sure why, espfe plugins would do it just nicely, and they work on LE as well as far as I know, and don't require additional plugin space if that's your concern. Plugin is the only requirement for the mod to be split easily, dependency trees are quite common.

An SE conversion is not possible without manual changes on a lot of stuff-and all the HDT-PE assets have to be trashed. And also you can trash mostly all the more complex animated gamebryo-files as there ´s no way to convert them to SE manually.

Again - a split will do. Just LE-specific plugins. Hopefully authors will find workaround for SE users by not using those in SE-specific mod versions.

Well done, t.ara, and thank you. Sure there are some problems actually acquiring the mod, but it's great to see it is - at last - possible.

As for the file size, you can split an archive into numbered packages and then recombine them afterwards into a single archive. So you could have ZaZv9.zip01, ZaZv9.zip02 etc. And then after downloading them, the user extracts all of them in one place to get a single ZaZ 9 mod. I think the quota limit for mega is 2GB, so this would need to be split into 6 parts.

Then; and I intend this as politely as possible, how is this supposed to serve as a modders recourse if it A: Requires an impractically large 10gb download and/or B: Is incompatible with the more recent version of the game, where the majority of the player-base are?

I get that you spent a ton of effort to get this pack released, but that effort is all but wasted in my view if no-one actually wants to use it. I hope you reconsider the idea of splitting up the pack, or maybe allowing modders to port and redistribute the necessary assets as needed, allowing users to use Zaz 9.0 derived mods without requiring a full 9.0 download.

The permission of the mod is in it ´s description. No need to repeat. A modder´s resource means you use this mod as a master mod for your creations inside of a third-party mod, this is meant to be in such way so that we do not get assets 10 or twenty-times in different  packs. If you want particular assets, please let me know.

The more "recent" version IS simply the WRONG version of skyrim to play with, if you want it all. SKYRIM has no compromises, specially not if you have installed this mod.

Edit: My bad. I used an older version of FNIS. Use the latest XXL version instead.

I'm getting an error when running FNIS after manual installation.

ERROR(2026): Too many animations  901 (..\..\meshes\actors\character\animations\ZaZAnimationPack8\FNIS_ZaZAnimationPack8_List.txt):  + -a zazCrux15_Exit ZazFurnitureExit.hkx

Next days I try to get an CBBE HDT available...

About SKYRIM SE:

I can ´t promise something-so I did mostly tell "not possible"....I ´ll check out again which forms of gamebryo-files one can create for SKYRIM-SE-but this is NO PROMISE for an SE-verion!!! NO promise !!! At the moment is SKYRIM SE for myself something like a SKYRIM MAKEUP....

ABOUT THE FILE-SIZE:

I could maybe split the pack so that Bodyslide is fully apart....means about 3 GB would be less: 7 GB 7z and another 3GB-body-slide PATCH-means you install ZAP and then you PATCH it with the suiting BS-file of your choice......(I will try to do that as soon I have CBBE-HDT-ready).

If your using 7zip you can set a volume size when creating the archive (or adding files to the archive), this will split it up into numbered volumes. Power Archiver has a similar feature so do other archiving tools, in built windows Zip support doesn't include this feature, it only creates one zip file of unrestricted (no user specified size limit) amount.

I´ll check that out- next days...

Another suggestion about the File Size Issue:
How about providing a torrent? That would entirely circumvent Mega and its arbitrary limitations. And people wouldnt need to download their app...

FNIS is filled up...maybe you can choose another version of FNIS.

Yes it would. However would require a tracker, or some other method of handling the torrent unless some decentralised manner is used. Additionally there needs, to be enough seeders, seeding the file. Plus the connection would need to be encrypted, and generally anonymised to prevent other issues. Also clean client software would be required in order, to download the torrent. By clean I mean free of malicious software as well as general spyware or other unwanted software.

Plus to keep the whole file ratio up it would require at least one system continuously on seeding 24/7, in order to keep the file complete and un-corrupted.

It's finally here ?

Can't wait to see what modders will cook with this one :)
Might take while and even longer in my case since I recently switched to SE, but still...
looking forward!

Thank you T.ara!

Have you just googled "torrent" for the first time? because thats what this sounds like. Yeah, torrents are decentralised and require seeders, not shit...

No. Only if you want to use it for something illegal or copyright protected.

Fkin 100% I will NOT become a member of some info farming site.  And yeah...sorry/not sorry for not being nice, but the author knew EXACTLY what was happening.  Cause and effect is not a new concept.

Yes. Decentralised though at least one of the extensions (DHT, PEX and/or LSD) would be utilised, for being able to aid in locating where parts of the file are stored. If your not going to utilise a tracker, as these extensions carry out the functions of the tracker.

Im sure its great work and am very thankful for the resources being released (very much needs a better download option). I don't agree with the LE stance at all on a purely objective performance and utility point of view but as a few people have told me previously once you've worked with one version for long enough that is "the version" your going to use till your done with skyrim and I can accept that. Regardless of the validity of the stance there's no point in harassing or constantly questioning a modder who has very much made this choice and wont be changing/learning something different for a game as old as skyrim. Just be happy the resources were created and if the quality is there it will get ported/remade for SE/AE by someone else eventually, which the modder gave full permission for.

then use something else, or make your own.  Nothing to blow a gasket over, especially since it is being offered free of charge.

THAT´s exactly what this mod is been made for.  I hope you will enjoy, specially the building-KITS !!!!!

Tree-shaking would be a cool tool for modders using zap9 to reduce file size, but I'm not sure if that's possible in an automated way? Maybe with xedit?

Thanks for this. Been trying out all of the new stuff added.

The only issue I keep running into so far is the game freezing on zaz world. This doesn't occur in interiors though.

You maybe use an ENB?....It ´s very much needed as there is no LOD been created-ZAP WORLD is an OPTION for gamers, which want to get some first impressions of the volume of the pack....it ´s also a TESTZONE.

Berating a developer for the choice of platform, LE in this case, of this free content is not just unhelpful, it's rude.  I'm not pointing a finger at anyone, just saying that we should keep the discussion calm and respectful of the author's work.  LE is not going away, any more than SE will go away because AE is now the latest version.  Players and modders have their reasons for choosing their game version.

In most cases, someone will volunteer to port a popular mod.  Quite a few well-known mods are created for LE and then ported.  Players on SE or AE might have to wait a bit -- for a free mod.  Not getting what one wants right away is disappointing but let's keep it in perspective.  Raining on someone's efforts might encourage creators to just stop sharing their work, and everyone loses out.

While I agree wholeheartedly to most you said there is still this: https://steamcharts.com/cmp/72850,489830#All

While Skyrim SE has been pretty stable above 25k of players in the last 2 years (with a peak due to 1.6x), LE has been loosing players for years and now hovers just about 3k active players on average (so about 1/8 of the SE/AE player base). Sorry but that's a pretty dark trend.

Thank you T.ara!

Please report errors if you got some...the open world of ZAP can be played only by using an ENB, which is mostly standard.

Is BODYSLIDE working without errors? Did you get all assets?-are all offsets working?

Thanks for a feedback !
