Still on Trial of the Prisoner, seems to be really inconsistent on my setup, but having a lot of issues with

The embalming tool, after I have the yoke on, I interact with it in the wall, and 9/10 times it just gives me the dialogue, but doesn't bring up the lockpick UI

 

and after that, holding the yoke to the door does absolutely nothing at all, is there anything else I can do here?

i find the shrine, pressed E but nothing happened....i tried almost every devices i have but still nothing happend. So did i missed some clues?

Problem is, sometimes you will be bugged probably after gargoyle spots you. Had same problem, started over from beginning and it worked after that.

Difficulty is good. Solutions were either obvious or became obvious once I had a night to sleep over them.

Ruin could still be more ruiny, I think without that hint from the patchnodes I still would think that underwater cave with the 6 pedestals and door was meant.

Changing key only doors to being key only was also a good change.

In the lab the note describing the secutity measures for the black book lay unter the table and was only reachable using tcl.

Collar control preventing travel to boethia shrine during first phase, mostly just stopped my character where she stood and after release I was able to move on to the shrine.

Still not shure  whether Reanimation Staff on pillar in watercave is wrong or not working because of mod conflict.

 

The bedroom escape right before the 50% mark seems a tricky one. I think I have not found the correct solution as the sequence of triggering the collar, using the control mode door override to open the door and passing it once the control fades seems too general and too meta. I would appreciate feedback on that one so I know wether I should proceed from there or still look longer for an alternate solution.

OK, I think I did everything to complete but:

After destroying the altar and completing the Run! objective, I still have the collar and no idea where to go next.  The battle music is still running like I am in combat still.  I assume one of the Daedra is supposed to show up to do the conclusion?  When I try to leave the cave I still get the collar controlling me and shocking me as well.

 

Forced player movement is always tricky with Skyrim -- and in this mod it is no exception.  Almost every time the PC gets hung up on the terrain or does the excruciating slow walk to navigate stairs and ramps.

 

Part 2 really lacks clear direction in a lot of ways and I don't think can be completed without using console commands.  I spent a lot of time running around the huge Fungal cave just trying to find various locations.

 

In Part 1 I was able to figure my way through without needing much in the way of clues, but in Part 2 a lot of the puzzles seemed to be random. Also I could never find the instructions on how to use the staves, so I just had to work it through trial and error.  In Part 2 if feels like there is a lot of trial and error without much in the way of clues to logically figure out solutions.  The Daedric door locks in particular felt that way.  I think when rejected by one of the doors, it should provide some clue as to how to unlock it in a similar way to the clues for the Gloomy Ruin had.

For example, after talking with the Enslaved Dremora and him saying I had all of the devices necessary to get through the final barrier, it still would not let me pass.  I tried spawning in every device in the mod and putting them on and still it would not let me pass.

I was able to get free of the collar with only the champion ending.

having an issue on le  when starting the Guardians bind where the courier will engage in dialogue talking about an fountain but will not put anything in inventory or engage quest marker

Well, I've finished .  Very fun mod, and remarkably few issues for a beta version of the mod.  I did this playthrough on 2.0.1

 

Difficulty was well tuned for the most part- there were only two spots where I just hit a wall.  One of those was the Trial of the Toy, but that one I sorted out after stepping back & thinking about it. The other was in the Trial of the prisoner- using the brazier & puddle combo. In retrospect I should have figured that one out on my own.  

 

Overall, the only place where I think more feedback is useful is the daedric door locks... I got through all of them at the appropriate times without a lot of trial and error, because in most cases the needed item was available nearby... but I could see those being very frustrating, especially given how much bondage gear was on hand throughout the mod gamespace.  The door to Irkalla's bedroom area in particular will be a source of frustration ( the wrong kind of frustation :) ) for a lot of people.

 

When getting feedback from the Dremora on my attire, he did say I was good to go see Molag when in fact I was missing several needed pieces.  I also was a bit confused about whether I needed to keep the elbow cuffs on when he decided a pet suit was in order... he said something about the elbow cuffs not being enough, and the phrasing made me think I didn't need to keep them on.

 

The staff puzzle was pretty straightforward, especially given the Draft Letter clue.  I had some difficulty seeing the symbols on the plaques but getting up close made the symbols more apparent.  

 

Once I disabled True Directional Movement, the scripted movement sequences went pretty well, except for stairs and ramps.... those were slow.

 

Overall, I had a lot of fun playing through this mod, and I really liked the story.   Thank you Frayed!

so apparently this needs to be done in the specific order if you dont the mod isnt super happy but i also had it to where even after being used by the dremora i couldnt actually struggle out of the pillory im thinking maybe its because of the harness not being taken off prior to it if anyone can clarify that for me would be amazing

Hi, having trouble with the first room of the Gordian Bind: I figured out how to remove the earplugs and how to dispell the barrier over the lock for the door, but I can't seem to find any kind of key or lockpick to advance any further. Talking to Jurgin doesn't seem to do anything either. Could I have a hint?

Talking to Jurgin is the key. You can convince him to give you some things, and included among them are an item that can be used as a lockpick and an item that's fragile, that you might be able to shatter into sharp things...

but the staff only exposes Boethiah. I can catch "her" through dialogue too. What I need to do with MolagBal? Because then I have only one option- become a "champion". If I refuse the trial quest fails

Tell Molag you'll trick Boethian and become his warrior. He should offer to "pretend" to leave. That will complete the trial. After that, talk to Boethian and she'll tell you you need to find leverage on Molag.

after leaving the arcaneum for first time i've done everything that was obvious for me to do, i talked to walker, dremora in cave, i finished the labirynth (if only goal of that location is to learn new shout), and now im stuck, cant go to underwater cave cause i lack staffs, cant go to upper shroom room without proper restraints and i cant open the arcaneum without the key. What is the next thing i can do rn.

also possible bug i've encountered

i can open the upper mushroom room from outside without previously opening the locking bar from inside, but ican do that only once, when i leave mushroom and i hadn't opened the bar, opening upper floor from outside is not possible any longer .

look for gear you can equip that makes you helpless, because if you are helpless you can't be forced to kill anyone.

There are two ways to complete that trial. You've found one - accepting Bal's offer. There is a second way. If your problem is that Molag Bal keeps taking control of you and making you stab people, what could you do to prevent that?

I'll admit this part needs some refinement. It's a bit of a leap of logic, not hinted at very well and the solution still feels a bit too artificial. I'll probably change some stuff here at some point. Actual solution:

Call Bal's bluff, then equip the chains Irkalla is wearing so you physically can't swing your sword properly anymore. Then firmly call out Molag Bal for being a mean bully.

You didn't finish the labyrinth; there are 3 shouts and a shrine you have to get to. But after the shrine, getting to the shouts is easy.

 

 

As to @Frayed

Yeh I think I saw that solution, but I only did the trial once. I'll try it that way once the VR bug with the buckets gets fixed. Been dying to replay in VR lol

I thought there is the way how to not kill anyone including Irkalla. But I suppose there is no way except kill her and put on her chains. Because I havent found any other restraints.
@FrayedIt is kinda strange for me because first you have THREE options what to do to her exclude killing in dialog with Bal (like prison, serving and just let go) And then I forced to kill her anyway. But it is just my opinion

As an FYI... currently, you can exit the Fungal Cavern and find yourself in Stony Creek Cave, once you've finished The Gordian Bind.  There are traps on the way out which are still active- they probably don't pose a threat, just something to be aware of.
