Been at this for a while now and not sure if I'm supposed to do that at this stage. Also can't seem to find a whispering cave. Any hints would be appreciated! I intend to try a fresh install with minimal mods and seeing if that helps currently, so I'd be open to any suggestions that can keep me from having to start fresh Another issue that happened to me on 2.0.1 as well so far  Spoiler It's possible for the gargoyles to just not activate at all when The Gordian Bind quest first begins, and this locks you out of progressing to the 2nd floor of the living quarters as well as seemingly? locking me out of the Gloomy Ruin. Played through the start of Gordian Bind again however and had no such issue the second time around. Â

Amongst other things I tried blindfolding myself (can't see sun nor moon now, duh!), and waiting until nighttime (ok I guess one can see the moon there...). I ended up clipping through (SHAME!). But... what was the trick in the end? Also, damn I wish there was more Mora stuff going on. This labyrinth is GREAT Frayed!  2. I have no idea what to do next... At this point I am under the impression to go down the bottom of the mushroom I need to carry on further into the quest stages and get a bondage device I do not yet possess, and to open the door to Irkalla's bedroom I need another such device I don't have. And to open the door to Azura's shrine or Molag Bal's shrine (top floor of mushroom), I need keys I cannot access yet as well. Am I... missing something?  Â

Am I... missing something?    Spoiler Entering the area where Azura's shrine is found, you need to be wearing appropriate devices... the tablet just inside the door of thr ruin gives you hints. When you progress far enough in the quest, Irkalla's bedroom becomes available.  Â

I stand with my back to the rock, in sneak mode, look up at the patch of sky that's visible and back in. You'll hear the rock open, and then see it reappear once you're in. Â

I don't know about later  ) but you can get your fork through them... there are items that you can reach with your fork, tonal fork note gives you clues Â

Â Spoiler part 2, after the cute teasing cross bondage in the bedroom. i managed to solve the staff puzzle with runes - honestly it took me too long to notice runes above the thingies because light was so dim. i managed to get into the hidden part inside and took the item. I also managed to get the blade from the laboratory. but i have absolutely no idea where to go. Shrine in the mushroom house upper floor is closed behind the locked door, and i don't see key anywhere. i see no place to use the blade at all. Â

Hint: you have to swim to find where it's used.

You've managed to do things out of sequence, and it's my fault: Spoiler I didn't intend for it to be possible to find the hidden section within the locked vault before you've cleansed Boethiah's shrine, which is what you'll need the sword for. I think things shouldn't break too badly in this case, but your quest objectives may look a little confusing right now since you've effectively "skipped ahead". I'll try to change some things around in a future patch to avoid this accidental sequence break.  Additionally, as a general remark: the room in the upper part of the mushroom whose door you cannot open is not actually part of any puzzle or content at the moment - it's intended for some smaller stuff and maybe a hints mechanic that I haven't worked out yet.

If no such keywords present - no randomness happens, devices would have predefined parameters and modifiers. You can peek into UD and US esps, and also into UD DD patch esp to see how it all set up.  One workaround I can see - to create copies of DD devices you need in your mod, no need to include scripts, just use DD ones. I.e. only esp references. This way you ensure only vanilla DD behavior for devices used by your mod, no matter if UD present with it's patches or not. Of course unless someone decides to run UD patch script on your mod, but then it would not be your problem.  Second workaround is to create UD patch for your mod, place copies of devices you need, UD patch them, and assign parameters and modifiers you see as nice to have, which is more work for you, without doubt. But UD allows for some kick-ass possibilities

I've been playing it on LE when I ran into the CTD issues, don't know how to get a crash log. Since making the original post I've set it up for AE and ran into the issue of gargoyles not activating again on AE too To give a bit more detail hopefully on what happens is you can just run straight by them from the the very beginning, not having to make the potion as is intended and also not having them bind you. Later down the quest chain on this save file when you're meant to go to the second floor you can interact with the float up button with the correct gear, but nothing happens at all it instead just holds your character in place for 2 seconds and then releases you. I've loaded back a previous save just after finishing the Snare questline and entering Gordian questline and did not run into this bug the second time around (on AE, fourth time combined between LE & AE)
sorrowsmith Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 At the 50% mark on a new playthrough:  Spoiler I decided to disable some of my mods, primarily those that affect the interface and True Directional Movement. I also disabled any other Devious sorts of mods other than DD. I did A Snare to Loosen and encountered no bugs (as expected) but did notice that movement while hooded was considerably more difficult without TDM; maybe that's because I'm not used to playing without it. Also, I had a little more difficulty getting Falcon Key to interact with Something Indented but that could relate to either different movement without TDM or just me playing intoxicated.  I chose the option where I continue on with Irkalla, no issues with that. Basically no issues playing up the halfway mark except one: I didn't get the option with cooking pot to make resist draught after finding all notes and getting the two potions and mundane item, but after picking up a couple random alchemical ingredients and potions, then option was present. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to work, but a minor issue anyway.  The various scripted walking sections were much much mucho much smoother without TDM getting in the way  .   So far I'm really enjoying the story and the various mechanics. I feel like there were enough hints and clues to get me through the various puzzles, although the Daedric locks might benefit from something to indicate what device(s) go with each. This is really a phenomenal piece of work!!   Â

I tried everything, even used Positioner to move it to various positions at the grate. Nothing.
