I think my courier is bugged for second quest .  He says he is going to give me something and then nothing in my inventory or any quest updates

tonal for puzzle? I figured out how to heat it but im not sure what to do from there.

 

edit: held it against the orbs till it made a sizzle sound and put it in the water, but it still says it's a heated fork. was it supposed to change? did it even do anything?

 

edit 2: yes that is what to do. then you're supposed to open the door and press the fork to the soul gems inside. I couldn't get this to work, it would just pop out of my hands and the gems would still be there, thus not lowering the barrier. had to tcl past to grab the sword.

It seems we have some limited ability to warp the order at which things get done, such as when we get the sword.

I might have had a bug on the very first red-orb-locked door, with it becoming available to picklock without me putting any bondage items.

The scene with Irkalla teasing us at the mushroom gets stuck on a loop, requiring a precisely timed dialogue exit to progress.

I still have that shimmered sight, after the Azura shrine. Restarting the game, even the computer, does nothing. Blah!

 

As for hints: these puzzles can get frustrating, requiring *very* careful exploration and reading. After several hours of gameplay, it does get a little bit dull. I ultimately set DD struggle and escape difficulty to the easiest, to make things quicker.

 

As for my current progress, or rather, part I'm currently struggling with:

  Reveal hidden contents

Stuck on the Trial of the Toy. Both "winning" and "failing" at the game results in quest failure. This one could do with a better hint, but I'll try to explore more thoroughbly before locking myself in.

 

How you fix that?

You need to find the whispering wall (it's outside in the water). The first note tells you to look up at the sky and pass through rock unseen, it's being very literal. You look up and find some sky through the cave ceiling, then sneak, and the wall behind you will disappear, revealing a door

Riddle Notes 1 and 2 And have found The whispering wall (I can see a map marker for Gloomy Ruin behind it). I look up, crouch down, and walk to it, but nothing disappears. I don't have any gear on except the collar. Is there something else needed? I'm walking toward it from the pillar, through the water.

Either winning or failing at the orgasm number game. You can actually use E to give in or suppress the pleasure, that is probably how you can get higher counts, if you do nothing I believe you don't ever have a climax, so you can "win" by selecting zero and not doing anything. Thing is... the real key to this trial does not involve this at all. Search the room with the "fitted ebonite" devices thoroughly, as well as near the pillory, and you'll see the solution. And I don't mean the chastity belt, or the wardrobe filled with devices.

The right angle of approach can be kinda janky. I didn't crouch, but I did walk backwards while looking at the sky. You don't need any devices to enter. However, to complete the section, you will need to equip some more devices. The theme of this ruin is sensory deprivation, and overall coverage. If you can't figure it out, check the next spoiler bit for the list of stuff you need:

I did not complete trial 2 legitimately. However, from what I could tell before I cheated... Let's just say, your captor is a weakass. Try fighting him, still with the arms bound.

Hol up. Fuck do you mean "character in the cave behind the mushroom house"?! I pass through the cave like 20 times across different game restarts. Now I know why it looked so empty. I'll have to remember to investigate this next time.

 

 

Now I'm wondering about the room with all the Dwarven stuff. Very little of it was actually relevant for the tonal fork. And I also wonder what the hell that bouncing, glowing ball thingy was.

I first noticed it upon leaving the Gloomy Ruin after cleansing the shrine. I cannot guarantee however, that it wasn't there immediately after cleansing (where we do get a lot of screen effects) and I just didn't notice as I was collecting the Words. Or it was something when we get "tentacled" across the place.

From my ELFX perspective, the darkest places included: the very first cell room, the Gloomy Ruin, the Clammy Dungeon, and to a lesser extent the staff puzzle. The tunnels before the final fight could also use some more light. Though I suppose the Ruin and the Dungeon are meant to be dark...

 

One alternative idea would be to scatter some torches around.

I did not have this issue with the first quest. Though that was the earlier version of this mod (the modlist was the exact same otherwise), so I should probably play it again, in this new version, and see if it happens.

Appreciate your help, but I finally rage quit trying and just clipped through lol. And I've completed that particular trial.

Okay, I need some help, I can start the quest, but the devices dont show up, but before you say, "You failed to build them with body slide" I tested them outside on my own and they all show up. Im not sure why nothing is there when my Character is dangling from the pole, Any suggestions on how to fix? Its also a brand new save

When I'm being interrogated by Irkalla in her bedroom, after binding myself back to the 2nd quest XCross when she's "coming back", I get her to try to orgasm me, but I just sit there, struggling. 

 

Is there something I'm missing? There were a couple of strange messages before that.

Okay, made it to the 50% mark, @Frayed. Thoughts:

There are a number of bugs, but only 1 that I had to cheat to get past:

The whispering wall did not disappear no matter what I did. I had to clip through.

I have noticed that several of the items, like the quest nipple piercings and the tail plug, don't show. I suspect that's because I increased my breast size by 50% in Racemenu.

I do think it might be a good idea to add a break point at the 50% mark. I'd also appreciate more clarification on some of the puzzles - though so far I have been able to figure them out mostly without having to get help.

As for my impressions - well, I have to say, as BDSM-themed adult quest mods go, this is pretty much the best I've ever seen. I'm extremely impressed, and totally understand now why it took so long. I'd love to see more of your work in the future - hell, I'd even be inclined to pay a little for them, if Trappings of Fate is any indication.

I'm in AE right now, but once I finish the mod, I'm almost certainly going to try it in VR - though I'm willing to bet it won't work right (no hate to you, but I think you have some custom keypress interceptors that won't work in VR).

I have the stylish black key, but I don't know what to do with it. I resist orgasming in the trial, even if I have it, and meet the zero orgasms mark - but I still fail the trial. Also interacted with the bottle of wine, the one that says it's Irkalla's favorite.
