I can't see this with nexus at all. They are not trying to stay G-rated, all they are doing is preventing (I'd say discouraging if it were not about what I would describe it as) popular cultural taboos, copy-right infringement with extreme prejudice, and I hate to say it, but despite my hate for the moderators there, they try to keep some semblence of respect for one another's works. I have seen quest mods with themes that are as confronting as any good mature film out there, but for example when it came to Alicia Pain Slut companion mod, they removed dat fine piece of modding so quickly, reasoning: encouragement of violence towards women, which is quite a hot topic right now in the whole of human society. Sorry, but it's just important to know the difference between age classification, and moral ones, especially easily identifiable taboos.

 

Note: This does not mean that the site's dick-weed of moderators and admin's regulation of this can't get sloppy. some Taboos there go uncheck, and some are just ignored due to an individual moderator's personal view of the matter. This is where you are correct in a way, moral codes are mostly impossible to keep up with because society changes it too much, which is not possible from a realistic point of view.

Oh damn, my sympathies for you, Australia has had to deal with somthing similar, we have just approved R18+ games right now, but that still has not saved us from the classification board of utter bullshit. They have refused Saints Row 4 a classification, because they deem it's contents "Beyond any moral standards" I hope your nation comes around someday too

Ehm, about german "youth protection law" or what you people want to talk about the "USK" more precise the "Index" of the USK doesn't block adults from getting the game or posessing the game, it blocks shops/resellers from selling and advertising the indexed games, you can still buy them uncensored in Austria and import them, or sell them private to other people, as long they have the nessesary age of 18 or 21 (I think it was 21 because that's the age you are mature by law). That "Index" should refrain adults who get nagged by their 5 year old children "Papa, Mama buy me Mortal Kombat, please, I want it, I WANT IT, *CRY*" to actually buy that game, and children to even see that it is available.
