I have no notes in two places (about the rest - too lazy to check). What can be wrong?

I looked in the constructor - they are initially disabled - why? (LE)

Those are unused RefID versions left over from earlier methods.  The active ones are placed by script since several versions ago the RefID notes were absent in SSE.

I don’t understand, do I need to look for them all over the map? :)))

Or Damsels In Distress immediately appear in the bandit camps?  I ran through two large camps and saw cages, but there is no one to save

No, but you do have to read one of the notes; they're the trigger that starts everything.

Try this:

  • Go to Belethor's General Goods
  • Console: "Player.AddItem XX06ACDE"      (Substitute XX with your SBC load order)
  • From your inventory, drop the note
  • Pick it back up
  • Read the note from inside your inventory

That should start things rolling.

This mod is NOT Damsels in Distress -SE (0). That is a separate mod that places specific girls in specific locations. This one starts from a note, and has people in each hold that will give you missions and hints.

I just called it that.Ж))

For Oblivion there was the same mod - Maidens in Distress , they also appeared in caves, etc. There They had to be saved, or not with terrible consequences ...

Is there a reason why the mod wouldn't properly launch? I played a bit this morning and it launched fine, added a few more mods today, made my Bashed and Smashed Patches, restarted with a new character and now I'm not getting the initial popup where you confirm you got SBC from Lovers Lab. The MCM has appeared, but none of the Bandit Camp mods or Sexlab have been detected. Got me scratching my head. There doesn't appear to be any conflicts that I can see.

.98g, Using Alternate Start but that's not been an issue so far.

Did you include SBC in these rollups/bashes/patches?  If so, that's your problem since it would have changed some FormIDs that need to not change.

If this isn't the case, then there's something else afoot that will require more in-depth troubleshooting.

I did include it in the Bashed Patch, and lo and behold, disabling it fixed the issue. Note to self: Don't Bash the Sexy Bandit Captives. And try to restrain yourself from Smashing them, tempting as that may be :)

hi, Blackbird.

Isn't the next line a typo?

XX055B5F :  How about some time with my lovely <Captive_Following02>?

<Alias=Captive_Following02> is correct, I guess.

thank you.

Indeed it is!  Thanks for pointing that out; that module almost never gets tested, and checking, it appears unique to just the 2nd RefAlias of the 5 this is set up for.  Now corrected for the next version.  Much appreciated.

Oh, those self inflicted wounds! :classic_tongue:

SE, 0.98g with patch2. Okay, so new playthrough, got my first quest to find a captive, killed all the bandits, found the captive, (Isa, at Faldar's Tooth) and after getting her to 'convince' me to let her go, I tried to subjugate her. Still got the flashing collar/cuffs, but I'm pretty sure you fixed that already for the next release. After 8 failed subjugation attempts, her hair disappears. Reloaded the save from just before talking to her, her hair is still gone. Exited & restarted the game, reloaded the save, she has hair again.

Got her to convince me again, then after three failed subjugation attempts, her hair disappears again. This is a problem I've had and reported before. I'm only level 9, so, maybe too low to subjugate anybody?

Tried a third time, forgoing the blowjob and going straight into subjugation. Hair disappeared on the third attempt.

I can tell you the exact moment it happens. After the subjugation attempt, she gets back to her feet, swears and curses at you a few times. You activate her, and she says three lines "You're no better than the bandits; These restraints make me want to do things; Oh my rotten luck," then the hair disappears just as the conversational choices appear. It might be because I'm clicking the mouse to cut off her tirade, maybe?

I thought it might have been those three lines, but no, on my fourth reload, she would only repeat her other three lines: "Wondering if I was better off with the bandits; You can't seem to get enough; I hope a troll treats you the way you're treating me." Must have had about ten attempts to subjugate her, then her hair disappeared at the exact same moment, just as those conversational choices popped up. So that's disappearing hair, four times out of four. It may only happen if your character is too low-level to successfully subjugate; I've only ever had the problem at low levels. I just hope knowing the exact moment it happens helps to diagnose the problem.

For now, I'll just revert to an earlier save before entering Faldar's Tooth, and level up a bit more, then try again. Cheers!

Your very first captive you need to try and release so it takes you through the quest about finding someone to release her and whats going on in general, after doing all that quest related stuff for the first one you can subjugate further ones to your hearts content

That said there was meant to have been something added to stop you doing that on the first one, from the change log

Aaaahhh, I see. That makes sense. Maybe there shouldn't be a prompt that gives you the choice of subjugating that first captive? Maybe it should just say 'Free or Escort'?

Considered that a while ago, but it seemed too restrictive.  Maybe instead the option disappears after you it (and fail) at least once.

There is, and it does stop you from succeeding.  It does not stop you from trying; you're welcome to fail as many times as you care to.

That sounds like the simplest solution.

After coming back from three weeks of vacation, I found another quirk in SBC ?

I usually have Thalmor and former bandits either entertain my guests or work for me. Now I found a problem with the working four girls: They are still considered followers by SBC, so when I just wiped out some bandits and found a Thalmor and a former bandit there, I can't have them both follow me because the slots are full.

For the whores, it says e.g. "Following 1: Seryne, Escorted" while for the one just subjugated, it says "Following 5: Ingen, Subjugated".

Releasing a whore from her job doesn't help either

I'm sure there is some faction setting there but I couldn't figure it out yet. I tried setting factionrank xx0e6b7 to -1 (it's -2 for Seryne and I thought this might be a bug), no success.

Edit:

I just saw that they are considered rewardable followers but only as third in a threesome. I offered one of the just subjugated girls to my follower and when I accidentally clicked on "threesome with someone else", the four working girls showed up in the selection (without arousal values, though).

Not a Faction setting; they're filling a RefAlias (which is why they display in the MCM information section) and it looks like that needs to be cleared at some point.  Will investigate.

When you say "working for you", are we talking TDF or something else?  The use of the RefAliases was added after the TDF handoff was devised, so it's easily understandable how that could have been overlooked.

Debatable if Seryne counts as a former bandit.  She's more of a failed mage who was hoodwinked by a mage who was working with some bandits.  But . . . she's a favorite as the Captives go. ?

Yes, TDF.

Thank you for looking into this and for your work in general.

Will a new version or a patch fix this or will I have to live with the filled slots?

Because this way, I could not hand over any more captive to TDF because any more subjugated girl couldn't follow me.

We'll figure out a way to salvage your current state, perhaps by using the SBCRecovery script to check the 5 RefAliases for Actors with TDF Factions.

[Edit]: Try this.

SBC v0.98g Patch 3 LE&SSE.7z

Scripts only.  Console "StartQuest SBCRecovery"

It should kick out Actors from the SBC/Following RefAliases who are also members of TDF's BB_HookerPracticalExperienceFaction.

Also built in is a process to automatically remove them from the RefAlias upon conversion for the future.

Sadly, this doesn't do anything. It doesn't even do what it did before (showing camps etc.).

Try "StopQuest SBCRecovery" first, then do it and see if that works.  It worked in testing fine, including showing the camps.

It was a f*cked up savegame. I went back to one where the SBC quest was active (is it intended that it sometimes vanishes from the journal?) and here the patch worked just fine.

My follower table is empty now.
