What happens to this place after Thieves Guild quest Loud and Clear?

Nothing really. The Wiki even says it does not respawn.. So it could be a potential home ? now that i think about it.. Thanks, now i know where i move in after destroying the fuckers ?

I've used this mod which seems to work well. Otherwise, yeah, absolutely nothing is done with the cell, which is kinda weird.

In theory the guild should have taken it over, found someone to run it, and used it as a source of money. Alternately it could stay as the personal property of the Dragonborn / Guildmaster / Riften Thane, as it would fit nicely with the Honeyside house and would give the Thane a means of income to support your house in the city as well as your status.

Would've make sense when you kill the former owner, or let him stay alive and Maven just gives it to you. It's the same with Mercers House which gets useless after the Questline is done. Waste of space, in goldenglows case a major waste even

Another good one is mistwatch towers. That one never resets.

No it will be my Pahe Store House. Brynjolf will wipe my floor while Karliah and Vex hang from the ceiling and Mercer stands crucified on the entrance ?

I got say, adding quest enabled npcs via dialogue through a quest is baby poop easy is to do. As in,you add code to existing dialogue that is in vanilla thieves guild quest dialogue that is fired after having cleared goldenglow.

It amazes me after all these years of modding and yet there is still so much more that could be added.

There are a ton of things that haven't been done that should be easy for someone who learned to mod and possible content that just wastes around. When we talk hosues take Nepos house too for example. I really like his House and Beth just let it there for giggles. ? Simplest thing to spawn a new npc who owns it or give it to someone who should but don't have a home.. Similar to nazeem who originally should have gotten a house or should sleep at his farm instead of the drunken huntsman..

Nothing... I make it a player owned using the Manipulator mod is has a section where you can make any place player owned.

It's actually really funny when you think about it.

Modders make houses for NPCs who don't have them fairly often - even Lokir has at least three house mods, and he's dead! But you almost never see modders putting NPCs into houses or estates which become vacant over the normal course of the game's quests.

its even worse, lore wise. Aringoth sells it to Karliah with Gulum-Ei as the cutout, but lets him keep the deed making him the defacto owner. He gives the deed to you in exchange for his life making you now the actual owner. Karliah likely doesn't have any issue with this when you meet up with her later, even though she says nothing, since she was just trying to create problems for the Guild.

So, you do really own it, but Bethesda, as usual, just doesn't do anything with it.

At least with Dragonborn, they did do something sensible with the house you render unoccupied as part of the quest that would make you Thane, if they had such an office. "You've killed the previous owner, so that makes it yours now!"

I think some of us are hoping BW does something with it in the SBC quest line. There have been discussions about it at least.  PAHE could certainly make use of a slaver den.

Not a honey fetish brothel?

That house is really large for the lack of occupants and there isn't a mead barrel to be found.  Either an "every fetish" type of brothel / swingers club or some kind of night club with different bars for different drinks, a dancing room or 3, and probably a skooma room in the basement.

True.. And we have a good number of  houses that get emptied regardless of what your Pc does morally.

Absolutely right, you own the Estate but nobody gives a shit about it. Not the guild, not Aringoth  not even Maven who has a actual reason to have interest in the matter of ownership.  It would make sense that she would either want to buy it from you, threaten you into giving it to her or you offer it to her in your own accord. We're talking about one of the more powerful characters in the game, nobody without backup with power would cross swords with her family.

Also, player houses are frankly overdone to death. I'd love to see more mods that make alternate use of player homes as well, turning them into new shops, or... other things as could folks have suggested.  ;)

No. The trick to a successful career in skooma retail is to keep moving. :classic_ph34r:

I think wiki said something about it being marked as player owned, It definitely made comment about how everything in there is grabbable. As in your not stealing the stuffs.

I'd suspect that is more because it is treated like a bandit location, where nothing is owned, more than that you own the stuff already.
