If that doesn't fix it, try temporarily turning off any plugins that aren't vital (just the basic Lovers stuff, your race, and LoversBitch). If it still crashes, tell me. If not, keep adding back plugins a few at a time until it stops working and tell me what broke it so I can use that plugin on my PC and fix the bug. Bug fixing is the biggest time-drain when making mods, and getting CTDs when a major part of the mod is trying to run isn't something I can ignore. If I don't get it fixed ASAP it'll take away time from adding new content. More time bug-fixing means less new content. EDIT: Sorry if I'm coming off rude. It's just that I spent almost an entire day testing for bugs in the new "invitation" system, and as soon as I post it, someone is have a game-breaking problem with it. I'm mad at the bug, not you.

I work full time, i'm getting my MFA in Game Design, and illustrate 3D comics. So yeah, my time is limited. But since you bring up Blender, why does everyone use that program instead of Maya or 3ds max or Softimage etc.? Is it just because its free? Or is it impossible to keyframe animations for export with the others? Maybe there's no .kf plugin for those other apps? The reason I ask is because I have no ambition to learn yet another 3D app (already proficient with Maya, max, Zbrush, & Poser). However, I do want to lend my hand to the modding community if/when the Skyrim CS is made available. I got to the Oblivion party late, but I really do want to help out. I figure Skyrim will be my chance. Don't want to derail the thread. I see new posts. Could it be? Is the new version up?!
Meddlesom Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Suggestion about heat... instead of making it so the companion isn't affected by being in heat, since that doesn't really make much sense (being HIS bitch and all), what about having heat last a certain amount of mountings and then going dormant for a while? Example, during the heat cycle add a global or whatever for heat mountings, every time there's a mounting increase it by one, and maybe make knottings count as two. Once it reaches 10, or whatever number is good, the character is temporarily satiated for three or four game hours, but so long as the character is still in the heat cycle, the heat will return after a while. Maybe even be devious about it and make it so early in the heat cycle it's easier to be satiated, but as the cycle progresses it takes more and more mountings, and towards the end it takes knottings to increase the counter and normal mountings don't count. This way, the character can still go into heat, her companion will still respond to it and take appropriate action, but it wont be a debilitating 24/7 fuckfest.

And I'm pretty sure it's because it's free, even though they shouldn't feel bad pirating 3ds if they won't be working in modeling/animation anyway... 3ds Max has way better NIF/KF tools from what I've seen. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to make animations with it. I tried and it didn't work out too well in-game. Meddlesom, as of v0.5, being "In Heat" is no longer something that depends on the canines around you. Also, I should have stated somewhere besides one line in a quest dialog that you can hit "Shift + Key you assigned for getting on all-fours" to show your information.

From what I've seen Blender is indeed easier to use than 3DS Max, at least if you want to create new content for Oblivion. Don't know if that is really the case or not. However thanks to the nifscripts for Blender exporting and importing .nifs / .kfs is a breeze - if you don't start from scratch. That being said I think I am going to modify an existing animation for Lovers Bitch, maybe that works out better than my last attempt.

At seemingly random times my character will just start walking backwards, very, very slowly, in fact, my speed is drastically reduced no matter what direction I try to go in. Needless to say, this is completely unplayable, and I have never had this problem with any prior version of LoversBitch. Sometimes reloading a save might fix it, or it might carry over into that save, or turning off the two priority .esp might cause it to stop, or it might not. I like it for that part, just not when I'm in the middle of a battle! Also, it doesn't seem to matter if I press the key to play the all-fours anim, I keep the speed and the backwards walking regardless! Edit2: I... I don't even know what to say Spyder, I didn't realize Oblivion would still accept gamepad input while the keyboard was in use... welp! There goes one fake bug.

I had that issue as well awhile back and it turned out that if you bump your controller or if it is sitting awkwardly to where one of the analog sticks is being pressed, it will cause your character to start randomly moving extremely slow without you doing anything at all. I just unplugged my gamepad (Use a Logitech) and it started working fine again after that. Give it a try. Edit: By the way, loving the new update. Only issue I have come across is if a wild animal knot's me, and becomes my companion, I am stuck with them. I have no way to release them or put them in a kennel. I'm at the point where I have to invite ten different canines to mount me, got up to nine, then this happened. Now I can't do anything cause the Horny Wolf is permanently my companion. Tried telling him to stay and then tried to invite another dog to mount me, but game crashed. Otherwise, everything is working great. Good job.

[/quote'] I don't suppose you had BU-compatable clothing on when it crashed? And I added an option to disable wild companions in the settings. You can get rid of your current one by killing him or by switching him out with another canine from the kennels.

Gonna work my way through the chain to see where shit hits the fan :3 brb.
badgeryiff Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Sooo just found and installed this today, and its freakin amazing. There's only one problem I've encountered so far (no crashes at all). After doing the Bitch Training in Maera's basement, right after she speaks to me when her dog is done, I'm stuck in all fours position, no matter where i go or fast travel or anything. Strangely enough, when I loaded a totally different character, she too was in it, though she was running normally and only getting down when standing still. =/ Have to restart the game to get rid of it, and trying to save when down, restarting, and loading that save shows me standing but still going slow and unable to zoom into 1st person. Other than that, I am pretty sure this is the best mod ever, of all time. ;D edit: also, I don't have any game controller hooked up like the posts above mentioned. edit2: Figured out its only for Males that its broken. My female character got the nice little bit of custom dialogue, but for the male it just went to normal talk options like asking about rumors n such. Also had to manually remove armor n such instead of it automatically being stripped

I have the BU Framework, but don't have any armor that makes use of it... yet. But I went ahead and set the option to disable wild companions and now everything is working great. Just finished the v0.5a storyline, and loved it. Great job and thanks for the hard work.

I didn't active this quest yet, but due to some creature quest in galgat quest, some dog knot and bone and i auto have a companion. Problem is. when the dog turn to my companion (right after bone), all people around will attack it. of course it die, but no one attack me. If i use bone to active "mount me", then after mount people will attack both of me and dog. - i reloaded this case, so people attack dog only, and you know, game count me as companion of people, even i can command dog - (i used oblivionxp , so when companion kill something i will get exp too.). I tried to revive dog use resurrect console command because i need to keep galgat quest. (rate of knot bone seem a little big, 4/10 times, and this island town part seems has only 4 dogs.). but after it revived, people keep kill it Also, another issue: dog animation is walking animation Do this happen due to i didn't talk to Mrs Bitch yet (Woman in Chronol)

alchmo Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 last version works fine, and is surely funny, only one little thingy that did pop up now on the part with the bloodhound he turned invisible after a few mountings, once invisible nothing more happened (one could still see the text for the bloodhound when moving the crosshair over where he would be, even walk into him, but he was invisible) loading an old save and trying it anew did work (this time quest finished after his first mounting, first try 3 and no go)

This is nothing gamebreaking for me, only troublesome and I can live with (but I'd like to get rid of it nonetheless). Just two questions: 1. Does anyone know an easy way to fix this? (CS, TESEdit,...???) 2. This seems to be a load order issue. When loading LoversBitch before BC all is fine. Problem is that BC is before the bashed patch. Does anyone know if LoversBitch will function fine when ordering before BC and bashed patch? (I read the readme and know I shouldn't do that, so maybe silly question) Thanks for any help in advance.

[/quote'] you can still place it before the bash patch as long as you don't right click and use the merge function lovers bitch should function fine.
