Yeah, you know. I guess I shouldn't have put this out here. I completely agree with you and love JB's style and I'm fairly certain he knows that by this point, and I wasn't trying to supplant that. Is why I phrased it how I did.

I think that, despite quoting you, the idea was more along the lines of introducing a pregnancy or creating a whole new degeneration system, which are things that are outside of my approach to the story.

 

The idea of punishing William, for example, was a genius idea suggested by you and then several people started to post ideas to punish him. If you hadn't done that not only would there be no punishment, there would be no scene in the burning Atom Cat Garage, those mechanics wouldn't have suffered torture and consequently there wouldn't be a date where Norita can show herself scared or fascinated by being “a warlord's girl”.  

 

So yeah, keep the ideas coming. I'll do the best filtering I can. The good thing is that the only one who receives some money is me. 🤣😜

Hello, I have come across some bugs.

 

Norita path:

Poker Night (_NR_Poker):

Accept to be the winner's prize, but do not agree to be naked while serving drinks. After the winner has been chosen, instead of the quest marker proceeding to the maid room, the game forces the MC (after talking to the winner) to go to the red couch in the garden, and then the game CTD happens.

 

 

The Dog Walker (_NukaRide_Lyons):

The bug happens in the first option.

1-Larsen and guest - During the conversation, accept to dance and then choose the 'shy' option (reject Larsen) - the character gets stuck and doesn't move.

2-Larsen and guest - During the conversation, always accept Larsen's demands - the character doesn't get stuck.

3-Larsen and guest - During the conversation, don't accept any of Larsen's demands - the character doesn't get stuck.

 

 

Nora path:

Night Fever (_NukaRide_Fever):

When Gunner Captain Fever appears, Adolf talks to him. After that, the MC's first dialogue options sometimes appear and other times they don't, but after the first options, there is no more dialogue.

Personally I think they should be in the format of an overall scene with the intention of planting a seed of inspiration. Not, this person says this line and does this, then moves to this spot.......

But in the end folks should ask themselves, "will this actually fit into the story line smoothly and go along with the characters personalty?"

Nuka Ride is the only mod that actually allows for immersion solely because of JB's exultant literary prowess.

Exactly suggestions are fine JB can still use those and change it to his style.

I decided to check out the latest version. I chose the young vault dweller path..

 

With my messed up modlist the previous  version would crash at the hubologits(sp) every time. Latest version all is good.

 

near the end of a casual playthrough  and been surprised by a few things👍

 

some un-needed thoughts 

 

for some reason the truck graphics are messed up.

 

never could do the hunting quest without setstage, couldnt put the small animal in the truck

 

changed the underwear of the french maid outfit to a thong ;/

after doing the cooking chore a few time, was wishing for a "cook all" option (just lazy I guess)

 

run a mod which requires PA training so if using PA against the milf raiders was the only option, I'd be screwed, had to choose the coward route though just couldn't use PA

 

was half expecting a dog related experiment  at the lab considering the agility outfit 😜 (is there an animation for that outfit?)

 

missed some content cause I skip some quests. cause didn't like it the first time (never play a "willing" victim) though I saw at that there were changes, but limited saves....

 

wish the setstages were on a computer somewhere ingame.  My game is so buggy that sometimes the dialgue didnt fire or a npc wasn't there (had no exit  dialogue with the gardener after exercises, Lucy was nowhere the be found.(got a weird bug in my games where some npcs go walkabout or hang out after sanctuary (npcs from the slog and abernaty farm)

 

Missed some content cause was playing saving herself for the debut which was kinda funny considering the dog ad at the entrance, apollo and the motorcycle. Plus the motto "no pay no play" since I jacked the scene price to a grand per.   (Also used a save from the vault exit. Had relation with Nate before the vault to buff aaf history stats, no virgin birth. Had history with the vault-tec salesman🤨 , apparently  he was still within range after leaving for the furniture mod picked him together with Nate up accidently, makes the meet at the rexford a bit strange😄)

 

other thoughts

 

I remodel part of the golden globe studio. removed the grass and carpet from apollo's area, added wood floor and more fencing.  Added a cityscape  walls and floor for the motorcycle.  Added more invisable lights to the various shooting stages. too dark and too purple for my taste.

 

Hopefully, someone can cut some previews for the theater featuring the GG movies.  

 

 

Anyway, as I've said before good job, surprised by some of the new content and liked the option of avoiding some of the scenes.

 

Still have to go with kells to recruit the new actor and waiting for younger lil sis to show.

Bumped into an issue with AAF animation failure.

 

Playing as Nora.

Quest: Made in Heaven

 

When first talking to Maxson, he puts a suffocation collar on the player character. After this happens, I get an error "Nuka Warning: Failed top play AAF scene. Advancing Stage"

 

1. I have all the required animation packs installed, working AAF install and patch. What might be causing the fail notice?

2. After the failsafe auto advance stage, the suffocation collar stays on. How can this be removed?

What's your current version? I believe JB updated that issue in 6.8.5b (choke collar removal)

I just saw that 6.8.5b was updated 24 october. Did not realise.

 

If im upgrading from 683 to 685b, is it a matter of overwriting the old version in MO2?

 

Is there an upgrade procedure?

As far as I know it's safe to update Nuka Ride from 6.8.x to a later version, so all you need to do is go through the FOMOD of the new file and hit 'Replace' at the end when the 'Mod exists' box pops up. This will remove all files of the old mod and replace them with the new ones (the 'Mod exists' box pop up will always occur if the name of the new mod matches the name of an already existing mod).

Roll back your save and update to the latest version. ;)

 

@icladel Personally, I uninstall then install the new version while keeping the same load order spot.

Since the outfits are a separate mod it makes it really easy to do a clean install of any part. Just remember to update the voice or outfits or my patch etc.. IF they've been updated.

The Overboss forgot to remove that collar after the AAF scene with Maxson. So either load a save before the AAF scene with Maxson, or go into your pipboy and throw it on the ground. A save + reload should fix the choking sound.

 

Now... the AAF scene with Maxson has a bug if you use Nuka Ride World Patch. I wrote a failsafe, but it turns out I forgot to compile it, so I'll have it for the next update.

Follow up on this. I did an overwrite in MO2 and rolled back to just before the quest started. Completed with no hang issues.

 

Only issues was the first AAF scene with Maxson was skipped due to AAF fail issue - it successfully advanced to the next stage. Not game breaking as there was the failsafe advance ( I assume this is the failsafe you refer to?) 

 

Also to add, Yes I have the NR world patch.

I removed the slight door edit so my patch doesn't touch the Amphitheater. Buut.... a fail safe is always a good thing to have.

I'll try to get it uploaded today... kind a busy atm. LOL

My failsafe is a bit silly. If you go to worldspace Nuka World and then the cell called NukaTown 07 (something like that), you will see in the browser that I have put a chair called something like “ForIzzyPatch”. It's invisible ingame, and the scene with Maxson happens in that chair (I just missed to compile this last detail). 

 

So you don't really need to edit anything. 

 

What I'm not sure is if you patched the doilys. I know in Seven Bar they were out of place.

Since you changed the furniture I removed my edits, like yours better anyway. I do need to update the doilies!

Will work on it this evening... gotta a lot of running around to do today. Which should have started 10 minutes ago!!!

Ive encountered a similar "AAF failed to play scene" bug. This time it is where you go to fuck OB and take the dog for a walk (Nora path). 

 

Am i missing some animations? Wrong animation version? Im 100 % sure I have every required animation pack installed..

Whenever you have one of those, uninstall Nuka World Patch and try again if you can. I get all the scenes working but I don't play with the patch -as I would like to- because I have to stick to my version.

Hello, I found a problem in Nuka Ride 6.8.1b.
The voice of the doppel of _NukaRide_Sister_05Date scene in _nukaride_sister quest is not playing.
The player voice is played in same scene.
When I click on it in the creation kit, the voice file plays. The voice file exist.

My voice file version is 1.4.7 and downloaded from MEGA.
But why is there no sound in the game?

I am using translated version ESP but there is no voice sound even in the original English version ESP.

I was told by a couple of users that it happens after filming “After Party”, which is where the clone and the player interact in an AAF scene for the first time. Specifically, in this scene.  Has it happened to you in that same scene?

 

My conclusion, since I haven't been able to replicate it, is that it may be interference from another mod. Which one? That I don't know. But. If you uninstall the culprit and reload my mod, the clone should get her voice back. 

 

PS: Update your version to 6.8.5 and the voices to 1.5

i got a pop-up that told me something about the quest confidance man. Thats the quest about travis right? Does it changes it because sadly i already did it. Are there more such changes to main game quest? TY

For best results, you should create a mod list (some people say you can make a profile) that has only the mods required for Nuka Ride. Make sure NR is at the bottom of the load order. Further, you should create a new game with no vanilla quests done at all and play this straight away.

 

And yes, it IS that good and worthwhile.
