Just went through the second time with Keyshawn.

Seems only the first chosen scene works. After that the others stick at gathering.

They used to work just fine. Haven't changed anything, that I know of anyway.

I just tested it and all the scenes worked. I tested them with AAF 1.1 but I haven't really touched those scripts when I had AAF version 171,

Mason, no Maxson. Please update to the latest version and reload befor Patty said send you to Mason.

I have tried 1.1 for awhile now - Apollo series of quests (with 2 scenes with Apollo afterwards), Pole Dance set of quest - 2nd Kells scene (its the same as the original?) and they all ran fast and correct with 1 exception.   On the scene with investors while OB is out killing some gunners the one with nr_soloman_staged (Mr. Johanson I think) had the actors standing on top of each other for what I think is the 1st 2 parts then proceeded to run the rest of the scenes to finish the animation.   Not sure if this is on AAF side or something to do with scene layout as Mr. Anderson (always think Matrix) was in the way while scene was getting set up.   Seems like a legit upgrade that runs smooth with NR.

The update worked, but in the conversation between Monique and Nisha they tend to talk over each other.  The conversation with Pattie also had her talking over her own lines as well.

The sleep grenade was a bit confusing as well -- a bit abrupt.

That sounds SO Next Gen. Do you have the Next Gen version? That's the kind of thing I've read from time to time from Next Gen users.

I 'might" have something tripping AAF up a little. Need to investigate a bit more.

Thank you for the report. I'm not really motivated to play it from the start yet. If I remember correctly, the guy sitting down gets up so as not to disturb the scene, but maybe AAF is so fast that he doesn't even have time to do it. 😜

 

Good time to tell that Anderson and Smith are names that come from Matrix, only here Anderson is the bad one and Smith is the good one. The other name I think I got from some Swedish list of players for a friendly soccer game. Johanssen. 


Lindstrom, from Slavers, I also grabbed from another list of Swedish players. No fucking idea why I picked Sweden, when I usually look more at Scotland because they have cool surnames.

Even so, the general meaning is still conveyed, albeit in an odd way, but still rather kool! It's like traveling a couple hours south, or north depending where you start, and folks talk completely different. Good stuff! :)

If by NexGen you mean version 1.10.984.0 then yes that would be the case. Unfortunately, downgrading is a bit of a hassle, so I took a shot at the new version.  It seems to be about half-pregnant vis a vis the modding community. This version doesn't play well with Alt-Tab and it also really doesn't like having the ESC key hit while in the PipBoy.  So I wouldn't be surprised that it has trouble with dialog sync as well. A lot of the dialog doesn't sync with lip movement as well with this version.

 

Also using AAF 1.1, though up to this point there haven't been any scenes using it.

Hey there :)

I really don’t say much but I appreciate your work. It’s far beyond what even the official DLC contributes. Anywho, I’m pretty certain that you are still running the Pre-NG Update. If so, perhaps add that to the description / info. Make it so that ppl understand it only works on THAT version. I know most ppl can’t be bothered reading but at least it’d CYA. Haha. I seem to be stuck in the "Made in Heaven" quest, Nora route. After the "Mule" style scene with Boris, nothng happens. I am just restrained to an X-cross but no one approaches or anything. I play older version game, not Next Gen. Any clues or more details you need?

Try this hotfix I'm working with. Reload a save from the time before you were put on the cross.

  • Update to add 200+ lines for the sister as companion so she won't be so quiet when you go on adventures with her. I don't call it 6.8.1 because I still have a lot more lines left which I will continue at another time. 😵‍💫
  • Voices upgraded to version 1.0.4
  • Small fix so that the KFT gag doesn't stay in your inventory.

I've finished the Norita "Special Girls" quest and met Tessa with the car.  I was told to wait and speak to Gage.  

 

How long am I meant to wait?  Gage has not appeared and nothing is happening.  I'm stuck at the car and can't advance the game.

Well, hello again! Came back to play Fallout London and got side-tracked! 😅 Wanted to see how things had progressed since I played it last year (6.4 I think).

 

Anyway, I noticed that the dialogue had not been cleaned-up since I last played. I'm using the ESP-ESM Translator to make an EET file of edits. The vast majority of the text is fine, and the vast majority of the edits are grammar, spelling or typos.

 

I'm trying to avoid rewriting entire sentences unless I really have to. I'm making edits whilst playing the mod so I have context, and right now I've played through the Nora-route up to meeting Maxson for the first time (actually have an issue, and the reason for posting, see below). There's only about 200 edits so far, but I'm not being aggressive in what I'm targeting (like I said, it's mostly fine).

 

I don't want to make any grand promises I won't fulfil. However, now that I'm this far into it, I think that I will complete going through the dialogue for Nora, at very least.

(Using version 6.8.0g as the 'translation' ESP and playing with the hotfix).

 

I've attached a file of current edits so you can see what I'm doing. Let me know if you want me to stop, or if this isn't a useful tool (or using it wrong), or something else.

Additionally, I have a bug, no-one else seems to have encountered it and I can't work out the cause:

 

The AAF scene that is supposed to play when a 'Nora' route player meets Maxson for the first time, and he puts a suffocation collar on her, does not play for me. I get a failure notification from AAF, and has been the one issue that I haven't been able to solve so far. All other AAF scenes have activated.

 

Using AAF 1.0, with UAP, and I have the required animations.

Look at the MCM, you probably have “Disable Hardcore Content” turned on. That is only for Nora and I will probably remove it. 


My suggestion: Leave it on “NO”. Reload a save before you talk to Tessa.

Thanks, I will check it later. As for your bug, it seems to me that you are using “Nuka World Patch” and that patch changed the chair where the AAF scene takes place. I added a countermeasure in the latest version (I put the correct chair, but invisible, so that the scene happens there regardless of whether you have the patch or not).

Yes, I'm using the Nuka World Patch. I was planning on disabling it as it tanks my game (I think I read it was a precombines thing?) but didn't want to remove it as I was a bit into the mod before I realised it wasn't anything else (I thought it was either HD textures or my even my ENB).

 

By the way, as an example of what I mean about not being aggressive, take this line:

 

He doesn't make love, he just takes me and fucks me the hell out of me. If I ever felt guilt it vanished as I squealed with pleasure. 

 

I'd really only correct the grammar, so it becomes:

 

He doesn't 'make love', he just takes me and fucks the hell out of me. If I ever felt guilty it vanished as I squealed with pleasure. 

 

But to my English ear it still sounds a little off, so if I was being more aggressive I'd change it to:

 

He doesn't 'make love'. He just fucks the hell out of me. I don't even feel guilty about it; I'm too busy squealing with pleasure.

 

Or something like that. Except, regarding the changes to the line:

  1. I'd regard this as a rewrite, and I don't want to impose my own perception on your mod.
  2. There's nothing wrong with the sentence I just cleaned up the grammar for; it's a bit wooden to a native English speaker, that's all.

Do I have to uninstall slavers completely to run this? I do like visiting the whore house a lot in order to make caps, and was hoping I could keep both?

IIRC, you can have them installed together and normally CS will take priority, and you get forced into CS.

 

If you install it after, I think you can just go to the Drumlin Diner, though, and the Protectron will be there. However, I presume this forces the player into the Nora route, rather than Norita (don't actually know).

 

Also, whilst I'm here; some of CS's recommended mods interfere with NR. Mutilated Dead Bodies adds some, well, mutilated dead bodies to removed objects at Nuka Ride, and Up To No Good adds NPCs as furniture that can get summoned to some scenes.
