Edit: Okay, I found it.  I uploaded you a Hotfix in the Mega folder, install it as a normal mod.

Nuka Ride 6.8.0d

 

Hard spin loop at the first conversation with George Cooper in the apartment. Can't move. Can't even open console. CPU over 50%.

I tried a couple of times. Same failure each time, after George's first line.

I was finally able to get past it by using the console to move George to the bedroom before activating him.

Quite a bit of gyrations while he got back to his marker - but everything proceeded fine after that.

Other problems areas - like Bulldog - are wonderful now. Tried it with power armor and without.

The whole mod is getting really smooth. No setstages needed.

When do I get to go to commonwealth? Quests are fun but now I kinda wish that I could go to commonwealth and shoot something up. When do I get to travel to commonwealth and back freely? I'm playing a young girl vault dweller route.

Wait until you get the blue scooter, with which you can go to Vault 111 as a cheat and do whatever you want. Don't you already have it? 


I stress cheat because I try to write a believable, dead-first story rather than write about a young girl going Rambo through the Commonwealth. 😶‍🌫️

Thanks. I'll check tonight just in case. I remember George has a hard time getting on the cross, so I did a little trick. If you talk to him, he says a generic response, but that response just shove him right up on the cross.

My problem was right at the front door, before he moved anywhere. Looked like a software spin lock.

 

I would hazard a guess that his marker is too close to the door, and game was spinning trying to get him there.

Hey I'm a huge fan of your mods but I'm having a slight problem. I'm not sure if this is intentional or even the fault of nuka ride, but I can't talk or trade with any of the nukatown market vendors after the most recent update. I've played through the mod before so I know you could in previous versions. It could be a fault on my end since I did recently start a new game on an old gen F04 version. If it is intentional, it's not a huge deal I'm just curious if there's a way to re-enable dialogue without fucking up any quest they're involved in, since I like to play nuka ride in survival mode for the added challenge and the market vendors are the only way to get food and chems, apart from Corsicans noodle machine.

I also play in Survival and often use these merchants too. I have done nothing to block them. Some are not available to sell during specific quests that use them. For example, you can't buy from Aaron if you are doing “The Special Girls”. Or you can't buy from Shelbie if you are cooking shopping. 

 

Other than that, they are always available. 

 

The quest that handles these vendors is this. Check it out if it's not stopped. 


SQV DLC04DialogueSettlement

 

If it's not stopped, resurrect them. 
Click on them and type “Resurrect”.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response. I'll try it out and if I can't fix it through the console I'll go through my load order and see which mod might be conflicting.

Let me know, because I'm seeing that quest is marked as “Run Once”. That means that once it has been stopped, it never becomes active again. 


Luckily I can modify it for my next hotfix and you will be able to reactivate it. 

 

Sounds like it stopped for some reason.

It's honestly pretty bizzare what's going on. Any of the generic wastelander npcs as well as Shelbie, Aaron, and Maddox I'm not able to initiate dialogue with, but I can talk to Mackenzie and any of the nuka world raiders and it's only within the market that I'm having this issue. I should also clarify that I only just got done talking with Corsican and just got the apartment so I'm very early on in the Nora route. 

But I tried entering "SQV DLC04DialogueSettlement" and it didn't fix the issue, so then I attempted to Resurrect Shelbie and Aaron and that didn't work either. So I tried "RecycleActor" and even that didn't work. I'm thinking this has to be a mod conflict but I can't figure out what mod\mods would be conflicting since I've run this mod list with nuka ride before without a problem. I'll start testing any new mods I have installed and I'll go through and see if maybe I have a next gen version of an older mod or something.

when you installed NR did you install the source code?

 

i remember running into a problem (do not remember the exact problem) a couple of versions ago that i solved by installing the source code.

Have the same problem. Was fine on 6.7. Only person I can have a conversation with is the doctor. Without quick trade wouldn't be able to trade.

Ugh. All actors are still absolute black for me. :(

It is actually fixed, but it looks like the Nuka World Patch needs the fix.  😉

 

Uninstall it to test it.

this worked for me, mine broke around the time you meet Ryder getting the cold beer on the Norita route.  Did not think anything of it at the time but went and checked and all the vendors were not responding still.   This hotfix allowed it all to work again.

+Started a new game cuz I was just at Kaiser anyway. No issue with merchants.

Finished playthrough with v6.8 until last quest available. Amazing. I like this "Norita route" more than "Nora route" when i play with v.5 some time ago. Not only that Colter and others are more soft with Norita, but characters we have with this v6.8, Brett, Monique, Sophie, and other people Norita find.

 

But if i can say something, when Norita eat the cupcake from Dixie, start quest "Magnet in the hearth". In the quest you must find a character behind a door, and this door is closed. If you try open, warning is not "You need a key" but "No access". But i must talk with someone behind the door. So i use console command "tcl". I like to know if there is a good way for pass this door. 

 

When i was doing "Norita route" i see traders at Nuka Market do not talk or trade with me, only dr McKenzie talk and trade. The woman selling food talk to me but only when i need "groceries" for Colter and the Apartment tenant.

 

I say nothing because i do not need trading with all people at the market for do this mod, but trade with the doctor is very useful. And if i can go to the Commonwealth sometimes i can do the trading there.  I do not know if this is as market works this way now or there is a bug?

Hi again, I've ran into a new issue.

During the VIP Party, I have been asked to entertain the guests (after the cooking section) and one of the men said to poledance for him. Nothing happens, I've gone to the pole and there's no interact option and my character doesn't get pulled into any scene.

I can run around and talk to the guys who are clapping and they just repeat generic lines like "you better do what I say" and "You're such a slut" etc.

 

Is there a way to get past this scene as it's broken?
