I noticed that the mod has been updated since I last played in... late April/early May? Anything major other than the merging of the beta version with the main version? Has the young start quests been expanded past the completion of the training, aka connected with the the original quests of Nuka Ride?

 

EDIT: So the last version I played seems to be 6.6 I think... at least, I have the 6.6 bodyslide and the 6.6 voices? The version in MO2 says 6.5.1. Regardless, the last version I used was the beta from late April/early May. Is there a full changelog somewhere? The changelog on the file page only includes the changes from the latest version, 6.7. I tried searching through the thread for what has changed, but it's impossible to find relevant info... I have a save from where the young vault dweller alt start ended (I think I was supposed to meet with Dara?), and I'd like to try to connect that ending to the main quests if that is possible now.

Seems upgrading from 6.6 to 6.7 isn't really possible mid-save, despite the tip to save the game at a certain point for future updates. Is there a way to skip ahead to the audition without replaying the hours of story that happens before? To clarify, I'm able to setstage manually, but the next stages aren't triggering automatically as they are supposed to, so I am forced to setstage for each stage of the quests. Probably a script was baked into the save then changed for the update. I realize this is old news, it's just been a few months and I don't want to nuke (hah) this save if I can at all help it.

hmm, there really have been no reports of such problems. You can write

Hi, I'm having an issue with the mod during the quest A New Ride. After being equipped with the new clothing and collar at the Mechanics Workshop, my 3rd person camera gets messed up and my character become centered instead of being on the left side of the screen. Zooming in from 3rd person to 1st person is also bugged and very zoomed in. I skipped the quest using setstage but the issue crops up again in the next quest when I talk to Music to book a meeting with the Overboss and she equips me with more clothing.

So I'm wondering if there's any fixes to this issue.

Issue was tied to equipping the Silver Choker and the Bimbo Collar.

Unequipping them fixed the camera 🤷‍♂️

                        I just Downloaded your mod yesterday and got all the way to the VIP quest with not one issue, as the young rich....ummm not a virgin🥰, you are amazing.

                        Keep up the awesome work and please take care and thank you for the this story rich mod that make you feel for the character's.  Well except for Willum 🤣

Today, I finally completed the 6.7.6 Nora route. Currently, I’ve encountered two bugs: First, after starting Nora’s clone synth in the laboratory, the clone remains stationary and doesn’t move towards the exit. I’ve used the ‘movetoplayer’ code to address this issue, which seems to have occurred in a previous version. Second, in the Far Harbor safehouse, everyone turns black when entering. Apart from these issues, everything else is working perfectly

Hi JB. So loading up the old save but with the new version installed, I can talk to Dara who tells me to meet Kaiser. However, Kaiser gives the "go back to school" line and won't allow the quest to proceed. I can manually setstage to make the quest continue, but it doesn't trigger the next stage properly after that either, so I have to setstage again... only Dara doesn't go to the amphiteater or allow me to speak with her, she just starts walking towards the medieval area.

 

My thinking is something was already baked into the save at that point that wouldn't allow the update to function properly. Easiest way would be to just start over, but then I'd have to play through hours of gameplay that I already did not very long ago... which would be boring, I wanna see the new stuff lol. There's no guide on what order to do setstage commands from the beginning, and everything is so interwoven and non-linear, unfortunately, that it would be pretty much impossible for me to figure it out myself.

 

TL;DR: the "save now" warning didn't seem to work, as saving at that point won't allow me to continue with the quest.

Don't talk to Dara as you're stats are not high enough. Go to the Seven Bar and talk with Patti. You might have to sleep, then talk to her & she'll give you the run down on the different tasks you can do to complete your training.

BTW, there's some changes in the old part too. But, you'll have to find them yourself.

If you have a save before the fireworks it would be great. So you don't do it all from the beginning or go way back. 

 

I'm sure there's an underlying problem that I'm not seeing yet. When Dara sends you to talk to Kaiser, she does this:

My stats were already at 100. Maybe there is another dialogue I was supposed to do with Patti? No quest marker indicating such. I'll take a look though, thanks.

Did you try the setstage I wrote you? That will make Dara lie down on Kaiser's pickup and Kaiser will want to talk to you.

 

Edit: Rereading the symptoms, I have a sneaking suspicion that you really haven't updated correctly. You could double check. Everything related to the previous version should be removed. 

 

The "Save Now" prompt no longer exists in this version.

I didn't get the save now prompt when I tried starting from before the fireworks. Obviously the save at Dara is after the save now prompt appeared originally, so I wouldn't expect to see it then anyways, and I haven't. As for updating... I use MO2, simply installed and replaced as I normally do to update mods. I did not clean my save, obviously, which would be the other possible thing I might do sometimes when updating a mod with heavy scripting, but that would destroy all progress anyways.

if I do setstage _nukaride_kaiser 10, it allows the scene to proceed. But the next part of the quest does not automatically begin, I get no notification or marker to either talk to Dara or go to Mason. I can talk to Dara, but after a bit about me having grown or gained experience, she just starts walking towards kiddie kingdom.

I'm at work now, and internet connection to my PC at home is... spotty, to say the least (1000+ ping, darn viasat), but I'll see if I can remote in and try that. I will say that I did try that last night, and it didn't work: the script to send Dara to the amphitheater never fired, and even using moveto player didn't work. Dara would be teleported to the PC, but it wouldn't trigger the convo with Mason or the next scene. I didn't try to skip through the quest completely, I made another save and tried to see if the cheat option to skip quests would work, but it seems not.

I had a similar issue. See here.

It turned out to be M8r98a4f2's Complex Item Sorter.  I inadvertently had Quest tags selected in CS Plugins. When I re-ran it without selecting Quest Tags the issue went away.

No. When you run Complex Sorter there's a section labeled CS Plugins. There are various checkboxes there and one of them is labeled Quest Tags.
