I remember you've told me before why you don't do it, but I'm not suggesting you add them permanently. Just add them before public release using FO4Edit. It'll take 5 seconds, but maybe there will be less questions here.

As if ppl read requirements, descriptions, etc. I understand and agree though, fwiw. Just my snark so I apologize.

I'm playing the young girl quest and I'm currently on Crush of Steel where I have to convince Larsen to give me the Brahmin meat. I've gone through the whole conversation twice and agreed to kiss him, but when he finally says, "come here" - he just walks away and if I try to talk to him he just repeats, "I had my doubts about this place..."

I've had other quests stick (or have actors stick and make things weird), but setting the next stage kept things moving. Can't do that here. Previous mod versions told us when we'd reached the end of the available playable content - and being left stranded on a rooftop with broken records for NPCs would be a weird place to leave us on purpose - so I wouldn't think that's what this is.

 

[I looked a little to see if anyone else asked about this recently but there are a lot of pages of posts and, as we all know, the searching is...meh. So sorry if this has been addressed before.]

Do not use setstage try the following. When you are sitting type "hidemenu dialoguemenu" in the console look away from the OB then look back in his direction. If you are lucky the dialogue should pop up.

If I were you I would load a save before sitting on the couch. When you sit on the couch is when the trigger starts (music should start playing). A second later the OB starts his final speech. 

 

Have you tried it several times? 

 

As "_NR_Crops" was full of stages and functions at that point, I made a small quest to manage the ending. The quest is called "_NR_Sweet", if you want to check the guide. This quest also manages Dara during other quests like the audition or the motorcycle.

I remember telling you that CK took me longer to open/ save the plugin if there were a lot of masters, but with CK Fixes and a more decent processor that wouldn't really be a problem anymore. 

 

But, anyway, I kept removing masters. I removed Real Hancuffs and Kziit animations because they are ".esp", not ".esm" and I will tell you why in my case it is not good to put ".esp" as masters.

 

To inject assets like the oil rig "Moon of Steeel", what I did was to put "American Rising" as another master of Nuka Ride. I copied all of the Oil Rig map into a new map in Nuka Ride and then removed American Rising from my masters. 

 

"American Rising", being a ".esp", is sent to the bottom of the masters list, below the "esm". That means that, normally, when I remove it from my mod, there will be no errors or  very few errors because the order of the IDs has not been affected. 

 

But if I already have other ".esp" beforehand, American Rising would most likely not be last in the load oder. It would be intermixed with other .esp. That affects the IDs of everything (clothes, dialogs, globals). When you remove a plugin that is not last, you are left with over 8,000 / 9,000 ID errors. 

 

So, unless it's an ".esm", it's best not to include new masters in my plugin. I recently injected a mansion and also the pre-war super duper market! Although the super market disappointed me a lot so I deleted it at the end xD

 

 And who knows what else we may inject into this mod in the future.

If you consider the whole thing was to get a deal with BOS. And he already got the deal. I also think their relationship is going more and more romantic you can see it happen through all the dialogue in the later versions. I think when we get to that stage that relationship would have grown even more. The OB is already changing. For example the dialogue on the bed just before lucy in the sky. He admits himself that he changing because of you.

While I really enjoyed the first version of this mod, I really like this new route even better.

 

I was expecting music to perform a rescue at the atom cats.  Some tense moments and high drama there lol. Then when I got back I figured Auntie would help me gut him OR his sister would punish him she since she said we need to stick together, but I get it...need to maintain peace among the NW factions. :)

 

Anyway, I agree with the above, definitely more romantic in nature. It's a totally different vibe from the other one and you can really see where JB put a lot of thought into it with the actions and reactions to the story. The two arcs come from different places and have different needs and I think this reflects that well.

 

I can see ob appointing a trusted protector or something, especially if he finds out about William, and hell yeah, I totally seeing Nortia rat him out for that.

 

I need to go hit a cryopod while I wait for more :)

For sure agree the young girl path is my fav. And now that you mention the whole William thing I also thought to myself he needs some "attitude adjustment." from the OB. Doing the things he does with Nora is one thing. But when he does those things to the young girl would enrage the OB imo. What would be really funny is if you get to do the same thing to him as you do to the radio guy. He deserves a cockcage and getting pegged right in front of his sister. That should be a good humiliation to suffer for his actions.🤣

I think you misunderstood me, I'm not suggesting to make them permanent masters.

I am suggesting to add "fake" masters ONLY to release versions.

FO4Edit has a function "Add Masters". This function simply writes a master file in Header. I call them "fake" because in fact there will be no links between the mods. The only thing that these masters will do is not let run NR with missing mods, simply put "protection against inattention".
If any advanced users need to open NR in Creation Kit, they can remove these masters in one click using "Clear Masters" in FO4Edit.

Alas, I am not lucky as it didn't do anything. Not sure why it would (honest confusion) since there's no dialogue menu to hide, but it didn't hurt to try. He doesn't have one (a dialogue menu), just the same "Just take a seat. I want to announce some shit." - even when I'm sitting on the couch or other stool.

Nah, I know myself well enough to know I'll screw up. At some point I'll install the version with all the masters and then, "I finished this super long quest and it turns out I forgot to remove BP70 , I guess it stays forever". 😃🔫

i love this mod and doing really well until I ran into Knight-Captain Larsen in the Nuka Cade - I am meant to talk to him but all he keeps saying is "Why are you looking at me like that?" 

 

Most likely I have a conflicting mod but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this?

That's Family Planning Enhanced dialogue when the character is pregnant. 

 

Potential fathers  say that. Funny, considering at that point Larsen only gave one kiss.

 

Consider disabling that mod so that it does not get in the way.

I have tried it multiple times, loading from before sitting, before talking to Dara, all with the same (non)result. Looking at the entries for Sweet, should I start with the name I'd choose and see if it will progress on its own from there?

So, the mod doesn't even play the music?

This should kick the scene. But it's not kicking for some reason. 

 

 

Probable reasons: 

  • Not all the actors are there (Patti, Dallas, Sophie, OB).
  • Another mod is spawning enemies and everyone is on alert.

It was worth a try. A few problems like this were solved with that. Yours seem to be something else. 😭

Everyone was there, but Sophie's been buggy (sometimes standing in place instead of moving to locations, meaning I had to setstage to advance because she was out of position and couldn't trigger things), so I wonder if she was standing there bugged and that's what was holding it up. *shrug* I'm just guessing based on the information available.

Hey so playing the Nora route now. I got to the quest "The Special Girls" and after all the scenes are done the quest says to wait for Gage to be done chatting with the captain. However I've waited awhile now and nothing is progressing and there's no dialogue options with any of them.

So I got a bit of an issue.  After doing the tattoo artist quest, I went to check how it works and I might have gone a bit to fast, and now the NPC won't talk to me anymore. She just stays there, staring at an empty chair... smiling... sometimes she stares back, but  is always back to the chair.

 

And no, sitting back on the chair won't trigger anything again.

The only thing I can think of is that Music got stuck in her dialogue (confirm tattoo/choose another tattoo) when you got up.
