I found the following problem. After completing all the quests and asking permission, i left for the commonwealth. Time ran out and I came to overboss. The punishment quest has begun. After all the mockery, he left me on a pole with a diploma at the top. Then there was a download with music from the apartment and the game freeze with a black loading screen. I tried several times, nothing works. Plugin at the bottom of the plugin sheet. Up to this point, all the quests worked perfectly.

I have done this quest several times and that has never happened, try reloading and do it again. Sounds like something did not load properly.

I guess I do not understand the question. After which download??

When you get a pop up telling you that you are late getting back, you arrive in Nuka World in front of your apartment, then go to fizztop and talk to the OB. Do not go anywhere except to the OB and he will teleport you outside to the Slut walk. If you do not get the Slut walk something is wrong or you are fast travelling when you should not.

I do not know what is happening but it should lead you to the market place.

Scooter to Nuka World, Fizztop to see OB, Slut Walk to marketplace, scenes in marketplace, leave marketplace, follow Lyons, wait for OB, scene with OB.

After I finish Nuka Ride, can I do the vanilla quests, or do I have to start a new game?
I had already tried going to Diamond City, but Piper doesn't seem to switch to the normal dialog.

I dont know what problem piper has with her dialog in your case. As far as i remember she isnt involved in this mod. Maybe some mod that does something to her entrance scene?

 

However i can confirm that you can play the vanilla game. I tend to do it alternately like: do some quest in nuka ride, then some in the vanilla game and so on. You can also do some basic things in nuka world w/o having to stop nuka ride, like clearing the galactic zone for example. I have an 8 day (realtime) playthrough in which i finished the vanilla mainquest and still have to report to the overboss regularly.

Yes, though if you do the original Nuka World DLC after that, or complete any quests in Far Harbor, or kill any unique NPCs, you may find that you're unable to continue new Nuka Ride content later when it eventually becomes available (so you may want to hold onto a save at the end of the current NR quests just in case you want it later).

There is a vanilla Fallout 4 bug which has been around since initial release and was never fixed, where Piper won't start her intercom conversation with Danny begging to be let in, and won't talk to you either if you try to activate her. Maybe that's what you're seeing? It's more likely to happen if you get near the Diamond City gates and then leave (enter an interior space or fast travel) and come back. There are a number of workarounds you'll find with a quick web search, including crouching and punching her, temporarily disabling clipping and walking to the city market, skipping/setting quest stages with the console, moving Piper with the console, jumping over the wall into DC market...

I tried this mod, and I have some new player perspectives:

 

(1) In its current state this mod's "alternate start" mechanism feels awkward. 30 caps isn't something a new player is going to have (yes you can get it from the diner encounter). But, also the perspective feels off -- the player might ask about a "girl agency" when none was mentioned and then express familiarity with the "golden globes porn studio".

 

(Also, in my opinion, a dweller fresh out of a vault should not be familiar with the caps currency system without some previous exposure to it.)

 

(2) Continuity sort of dies out after encountering Mason. Mason had nothing further to say and the studio was empty even after waiting a considerable time.

 

Other than that the dialog sort of worked in a pressure you into it sort of way. Mostly I mean -- it could use some additional mild coercion.

 

I guess I will try this mod again in a few years...

#1= I asked JB. to put 30 caps in the cans next to Charon the Robot.

#1.5= If you do the dialog with Duke the Eyebot, "Caps what's caps" "it's our form of currency"

#2= If Corsican was not in Golden Globes Studio, back up you did not finish a dialog to the end, check your Pip-Boy quest markers. When done with Mason you should be given clothes, and told to go to GG to meet Corsican, He has never been missing in my game, 1.5 years, The whole thing takes around 20 hours to play through depending on your playstyle, (Me I stay at it till I am done.) You should try again, Very Much Fun!!

heeey so...fixed the issue....

Basically I'm an idiot (once again, who woulda thought) and despite thinking I tried both ways to 'be sure' it turns out I had installed the Zip file bodyslide twice so Vortex was installing it zipped...actually did the standard download and now bodyslide can find the files...I hate myself.

 

I don't know if maybe you want to put in a 'do standard download' for idiots like me -_-

I must have missed your #1 (and your #1.5). I will try to remember looking for those cans, next time I try this mod.

 

But I remember repeatedly going bac to talk with Mason because I could not find anything relevant in my quest list. He kept telling me to go to that studio.

 

Anyways I have deleted the save files and I am playing a different mod now.

I have a Problem. I'm using Fusion Girl and I have the Nuka Ride Bodyslide for Fusion Girl installed and made a Batch Built with morphs. But my character still shows only head and hands, with invisible body (audition outfit). Has somebody an idea?

Duke the eyebot is the first thing you meet, right outside Vault 111, no caps in the cans yet, no quest marker would be telling.

This Mod is Great, @JB. has polished it well!

I would Highly Recommend trying it, must be last in your load order, is dependent that you explore the dialogue!

Did you download the files on Mega as a Zip, or Standard? Standard is the way to go.

Check the file page for Nuka Ride and make sure you've installed the clothing mods which provide all the textures for those.

I posted like a minute after he did, and he did not answer, your suggestion would have been my next one.

This user loaded a zip file into their mod manager, took them a while to get it figured out, not making fun of them! Just a Mistake.
