I's installed nuka ride 5.0.2. The change logs specifically stated that "A bug that did not allow you dancing naked.". However, for the first mission, Kaisar requested player to dance or do with the animal, when i chose dance, the player does not dance. Plus, when i installed silent voice along with its fix, player mouth is moving but the dialogue after the wheel dialogue is missing. Is there any bug or just the mod conflicts? Thank you

The Issue now is that crazy bitch with the rifle is back, and is shooting the cappy figure in the square in front of the golden globes studio.

Is this from my mods/load order or are others having her show back up?

I have found a little "bug". The overbitch heels don't make sound. All other heels do. Nothing important, but perhaps a little thing to fix along other things.

lol i decided to upload it on sunday because i would have time to check and correct, i really thank you because i discovered that a function called getdialoguetarget doesn't work properly.

 

I used this feature to find out who you talk to in Nuka Club (and get their sample). THAT'S WHY I was talking to Malone and getting a sample from another actor, which made the quest impossible to complete. 

 

I wouldn't have gotten this if it wasn't for your suggestions (add samples to inventory).

I'm pretty sure I didn't touch that, but I can't check right now. I'm not sure if it's a load order thing, though. I'll see if anyone else reports that.

It's not really a bug. That outfit is not included in my mod because the author hasn't been online for almost a year, and I really don't want to post things without permission.

But I'll think about including that outfit in Nuka Ride later.

When going to Diamond city I thought it said the loan with Nisha was over, when I did the Maxson thing he said I was now on loan to him, when I went to walk the dog for OB Savoy was at the studio.

Not a complaint but should that have changed Savoy to one of Maxson's men??

Haven't had time to check it out much, but still. I started from the beginning. Dialogue with Duke. Made the start more immersive, which is good. But there is a logical inconsistency. Here are our options:

Duke says "agency," but not studio porn in all his lines. If we don't select the option with the question, we won't know that we're talking about a porn studio. That is, we can go straight to Charon, without a question. However, in the dialogue with Charon, when asked about Nuka World, our second line:

How does she know?

 

Okay, next. The sex scene with Charon (if without caps) works weirdly, as if it breaks in the middle and puts the protagonist inside the Protectron textures. It's not the end of the scene, it lasts about half the scene that way. Moreover, sometimes Sex Attributes puts the trauma for rape, which is wrong because we consent to sex voluntarily.

Nice catch. I better force the player to ask about the girl agency before agreeing to travel/not travel with Duke. So the option to go to Drimler Diner won't come up until you ask that question.

I'll fix that and also let SexAttributes know that the animation is consensual.

 

Charon's animation is from Savage Cabbage and unfortunately the author already commented that the skeletons of the protectrons are bugged.

It seems to me that from a role-playing point of view, the issue of this being a porn studio is quite important. It's better to highlight it separately, with a special line/scene. And, given the way you did the dialogues of the mod's prologue... I think it's better to do it from the mouth of Kaiser (or what's he got instead of a mouth, a microphone?).

 

Just, you've already halfway done it by adding Duke's allegorical dialogues with the "agency". Here just begs the division into two possibilities - ask questions and find out it's about porn, or fall for the bait with Duke's "agency"? But the decision is left to the players, for maximum compatibility with the stories of their characters.

 

In the first case (when she knows). Why does she go for it? Has she always dreamed of being a porn actress? Or she doesn't give a shit, she only cares about money? Or is she a secret nymphomaniac and really needs a lot of sex?

 

In the second case (when she doesn't know) and realizes what she's gotten herself into, only at the gates of Nuka World.  Did she seriously think it was about a post-nuclear fashion agency or something? It would add drama to the moment, sort of making the protagonist a hostage to the circumstances. Should she accept it because it's too late to turn back? Or will she throw a tantrum? Or will she agree happily, because somewhere deep down inside she's such a bad, bad girl?

 

But that's the hard way.

If the loan with Nisha is over, the Overboss should no longer be angry and the character doesn't have to ask if he's still angry. (Either the Overboss shouldn't crack you down further for rejecting Savoy.) You basically just tell him that you're done with the chores, with a bit of variation depending on whether or not you're his bitch.

It reminds me a bit of the plot of NR1/2/3: Charon invited you to Nuka World to visit the park for 30 caps. But it's a trap: there, Kaiser demanded 1,000 from you to travel back to Commonwealth... or shoot a erotic commercial for Nuka World.

 

If you ended up shooting the commercial, you went back to the Commonwealth and Charon would tell you that your commercial was very successful and that a guy wants to hire you, that you should come back.

 

The problem with this storyline is that it's fine the first or second time you play it... but then it gets tiresome "knowing" you're walking into a trap every time you start the game. That go-come back-go-again trip was something that many asked me to change, because it really gets tedious. So I said it's better to be honest and go to Nuka World knowing what's there.

 

There are still traces of this plot here and there. That is why you will notice that the girl is not comfortable with the outfits in the first bars of the mod: The girl is not a porn actress, but she realizes that she is good at it, only that she has a hard time getting used to it. (A corseted plot that does not allow roleplay...).

 

What I mean is that, yeah, there is a possibility that the girl goes without knowing very well what is in Nuka World. Let it be a trap. But, while replaying, you will "feel weird" knowing that you are sending her into a trap... 

 

So I think it's better for the player to know what's in store for them if they travel with Charon.

I don't know how big of a stomach you have for "Hardcore content", but I have a mod in development where basically a couple of raiders kidnap you coming out of Vault 111 (they also kill Duke if you have Nuka Ride installed) and force you to do missions for them and their gang. The mod should end with one of them freeing you and suggesting you go to Nuka World, that there is a guy who can protect you -and he activates the Nuka Ride quest-.

 

My problem is that I need to find the motivation to keep writing this type of strong content, so it's a matter of getting the right inspiration.

 

I don't include it in Nuka Ride simply because there is a clear difference in theme, but they should complement each other in the end.

I REALLY would like that version for an alternate, rough start.
But would this work with the nuka world story line, where she starts as a nearly modest girl and is corrupted more and more. After such a rough start, everything in nuka world is somewhat like a vacation time

ok....so I tried out the opening dance scene and I don't get any animation either......I do have an AFF ERROR.....this is the same error I got when trying to dance for the guards at diamond city.......I was able to dance for charon and at the safari on the last version......and it is only when trying to dance nude.  I also have all of these warnings and such, but I have always had these.

About NR1/2/3 and the trap ride. I only played NR4 for the first time and didn't know all that. And yes, I noticed this weirdness with the protagonist's aversion to her clothes, which, considering what she signed up for, seemed odd. But honestly, I figured it was, um, how shall I put it more politely... In short, for fear of showing a woman without the typical, "expected" reactions from her in such a situation. Well, it turns out these are pieces of old versions.

 

On the subject of opening a voluntary/non-voluntary trip to Nuka World. I'll accept any decision you make, except refusing to finish the story. In that case, I reserve the right to be upset. 

 

I only suggested that you leave the choice up to the player and work that point out. However, if you're planning a mod with raider abduction from the vault and its compatibility with NR, I withdraw my suggestion. Because, indeed, it is the good alternative.

 

Regarding my attitude towards hardcore content. I don't have a problem with it as long as it doesn't involve real people and real situations. Moreover, I consider such content not just useful, but necessary for society, because I think humans are animals, intelligent, but animals nonetheless. Thus, this kind of content allows you to process and feel situations where in reality you don't want to or can't participate. Where you have control and no one gets hurt. Figuratively speaking, to keep the inner beast inside. Through harmless fantasies. Because if you constantly suppress the beast, ignore it and squeeze it into your subconscious... Sooner or later the beast will break out. It's like a lid on a boiling pot. It can be welded on, but the steam inside, sooner or later, will do its job and tear the pot to pieces. Fantasies, even dark ones, serve as a safe opportunity to lift the lid of this pot. For everyone's safety.

 

So you're doing an important job. And that's not the only reason. There's also another one. Most players, as far as I can tell, prefer to become a bimbo for Overboss.  Well, I like the rebellious way much more. When the protagonist resists and doesn't break. That's what a real strong woman is all about. Not in the silly another Mary Sue infecting modern (especially Western) culture that scatters dozens of thugs with her bare hands. That's bullshit, not a strong woman. But to go through real shit that you can't change, but not to break down and keep your inner core inside, that's a strong woman.

 

My point is that this path (rebellious) practically energizes the player with feminism. You, as an author, don't lecture the players, holding them up as idiots that can't tell right from wrong. You just show things as they are. And it works. During the game, I repeatedly caught myself thinking that I wanted to kill Overboss. Slowly. Excruciatingly. And no amount of history with him as "father of the year" changed that. He's still an asshole and I still want to finish him off.

 

It's too bad that the agenda bruised modern culture considers this approach obsolete. Getting into a self-righteous posture and teaching players/viewers/readers what the world should be, rather than showing it for what it is, is propaganda, not art. And it doesn't work, but it doesn't seem to get to some people.

 

That's why I like your work so much. Ahem, I guess I got a little carried away.
