Technically she is 230 something. I think that puts her in the Cougar category even for the 3 stooges. Two of them were in their 70's. Where I am from a Cougar is a woman who prefers to fuck younger people (age is not mentioned for either, just so long as the female is older than the other}.

Another factor to put in though with Nora's age is not so much her actual age but her Generation, she is pre-war she would reek of pre-war even if she tried to mask that fact. Her way of thinking, acting everything about her would be viewed as Old Fashioned. So naturally people would make her older in their minds regardless of her physical appearance. Also due to her back story she is less likely to fully adapt to the new world she finds herself in, no matter how much she tries. She is intelligent, confident and focused likely a realist. This is suggested due to the Law Degree, mature due to Marriage and Baby, Family ages metaphysically everybody. Once you become responsible for a life a lot changes about you. Getting into Porn is a curiosity, depending on her perspective. For example when I did porn most of my family thought I was into Drugs, some Criminal group and so many other very cliche things. But I did it cause I was curious and thought it would be fun. Pot is the only drug I have ever tried, I still prefer whiskey neat. Age is just years alive, it is not a measure of Maturity, Wisdom, or Perspective.

Back in my teens a Cougar was anyone beyond late 20's because I noticed the maturity level skyrocketed around that age ,as a teen I was fucking teenage girls and they were immature ,I got involved in a woman in her late 20's when I was 20 and it was another level with everything,now I consider anyone below 35 to be a bit "silly"

I actually found out if you manage to pay or get charisma checks to go through all the "treatments" til you complete them, it gives you an intelligence boost which I believe is permanent to your stats, though I'm not sure how much of the joke was intentional by the writers in taking a concept like Scientology but then after thinking you're in and paying a cult con it actually somehow does something that it really shouldn't XD but I always would get all the zaps in the chair just to get the punchline of "it actually works, kinda" 😅

@Hoobu I think we are prolly about the same age and I know we are the same country. It has always amazed me how from one state to another in Australia a Generation can experience the same things in such a different way.

I think everyone can agree it would be a very weird calling her a cougar for having sex with the people in the club. Who are in the same technical sense all much younger than Nora. So that 230 years points falls apart. And a cougar is not used for slightly younger men, it's used for significantly younger men. You can look that up on wikipedia if you don't believe me.

 

And while it can also be teasing between friends. If the story stresses Nora is getting on in age, multiple times. That headcanon starts breaking immersion.

Reactions to that is not just pointing out someone is actually older. That is "wow you're so mature", not "you're getting kind of old".

Sure, but it is not a black/white thing. Things change, but not overnight. Shaun was still very young. How long Nora and Nate were married is not an important (or any?) part of the story. Players can decide that. And the same goes for when she got her degree or how long she was a practicing trial lawyer. At the lower end she can still be mid 20s, or even early 20s if you RP her as an extremely talented student. A mid 20s woman is just not old, no matter how responsible she is.

And that number is not what people react to day to day. When frozen, she wasn't alive in a physical or mental sense. She did not develop in way, her body did not age, she wasn't aware of anything. She might as well have stepped through a time portal. In any meaningful everyday sense, her age is her pre war life and her short time after waking up in vault111. My guess is something between 23 and 48. 

 

Also Nora in the normal game says she is a 220 years old. And the time skip is 210 years. So... 🤔yeah we should just ignore that point.

240 is pretty much up to date Mods wise. Some advice, read, read again and then ask questions none are bad or silly, often they fix what could off ended up a much bigger problem. Before you say something is not working triple check you have the requirements, at least the Hard Requirements. If this is your first adventure into Fallout, welcome to where the pervs live. If you aren't one why are you here? Oh and make a Base Profile and Mod the second Profile you create. That Second use one big adventure Mod like NR, play with it learn tricks, then create another profile and mod the mod until you break something

By the way, I think the dance animation should be replaced — it has too many abrupt interruptions. Here's a video for reference (7 minutes 30 seconds).

 

Also, if you pick the third option right away, the game either crashes or the camera freezes in first-person view.

Thanks, I'll check it out. This is one of the cutscenes that was completely broken in AAF 1.0 because they stopped using a doppelganger and started using the player in the scenes. So I tried to put it back together.

JB, I had a look through your mod in FO4Edit tonight, and I have a whole new appreciation for what you've created. Seeing all the NPCs, quests and everything going on underneath the hood really opened my eyes to how much work you've put into Nuka Ride. Absolutely incredible job, mate. Awesome.

Yeah it blew my mind when I checked it out in the creation kit when i modified a version for my own use,I called it a miracle when I got a npc to move from one spot to another using a one sentence script that took my four hours to figure out

hmm I have a small problem, it has happened in two separate instances this run, when I whip the Mayor (which has actually happened in quite a few runs not just this one) and now also when I whip that condescending sub that tops from the bottom for the radio quest. 

The problem that occurs is when I start whipping them, they go aggro (red) so it breaks out into a fight, which kills the quest on the spot, with the Mayor it is cause the whole city seems to want a piece of you (the first time was fun I got to fuck literally everybody in DC took fucking hours!!)

 

From that it also raises another quest. I remember one run (not sure if it was Nora or Norita) but the Mayor wanted to whip Dara, well me eventually. I got it once and never again, is there a reason why? Or was it on a Nora run and memory is mixing both into one?

lol i keep forgetting to turn off one shot kill in cheat terminal before those scenes and end up killing them and having to reload the last save. the player is whipped on the Nora route only.

LooksMenu Temp Scroll has a download for 1.11.240 that doesn't work

A lot of mods out there have .dll's for 1.11.221 that do work for 1.11.240

A word to the wise: For MCM use it's 1.11.240 release and not the one for MCM RD, it leaves the Inventory tab of Pip-Boy damaged.

LooksMenu is good, all it's add-ons work except for Detours.

Neanka has updated about half of his mods. R2K is still retired.

on Nexus, ZZyxzz has a lot of replacement mods for other previously must-have mods

 

BodySlide has an update for 1.11.240, I haven't used it since the last release works just as well.

 

AAF has available on Discord version 1.7.4.1, which requires some of EAP. Be careful with EAP, it's author thinks he knows better that anyone out there and will install the kitchen sink.

Best to learn how to prune that one manually.

You may have to switch off your more aggressive fuck mods with those scenes

I'll try that. But in past runs I could whip the radio dude without aggro. The list has only changed in more outfits and updates. I'll see what happens, I think one mod you have to select to add items to a weapon list or something, when you equip them from the weapons inventory. Maybe I should select canes as not weapons? Will try see what happens.

You get given a whip nr_crop or whip or something and it has zero damage some dude had this issue a while ago and it was a mod doing it
