Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is pretty cool. I think I'm going to rewatch legends of galactic heroes after this and then I'm going to fill my summer with Next Gen I need more space opera.

Already finish it to the end, btw in my humble opinion the live action is sucks, I mean the story. LIGHT FTW!!!

Try Monster and MPD Phsyco.

 

Does someone know anything about the anime "Claymore", if it is worth the time etc ?

I just found this thread or I would have posted earlier. I have 4 all access guest passes to

"crunchyroll", good for 48 hours. The cool part is you can watch anime in 1080p hd and no commercials.

I get 1 new pass each month with my membership, so in the future, I'll post them... that is if you guys

are interested.

I don't mind the lower quality, everything looks pretty great without HD. HD is for people who don't use laptops for everything. :v

 

After watching Retsupurae talk over the Cobra: Space Adventures game on youtube I decided to find the anime and watch it.

Silly 80s anime ftw. No regrets whatsoever xD

Crunchyroll has saved my anime-bacon. I used to live in the States and had Anime Network on demand. Where I live now, I don't think I've ever seen anime on TV - so it's all streaming. I've used it for Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan, which I loved. I also like "I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job" and "Nagi No Asukara" - very different shows, but I enjoyed them both. I've got a lot set on my queue - just need to commit myself to watching them! I've also dove into some nostalgic Rurouni Kenshin - in dub, for some reason. I don't know, the voices take me back...

 

I've also watched things like Trigun, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Gundam Wing, Code Geass, Death Note, Ouran High School Host Club, Witchblade... Couldn't get into Neon Genesis Evangelion - it was too depressing for me. Same problem with Elfen Lied - too many rape situations.

btw, for Samurai X fans, I really recommended Samurai X: Reflection Director's Cut, I've seen it a few years ago in animax channel. It's a sequel to the main story. Nice and happy story. It's quite good in my opinion.

really? I never heard of it too...and I don't watch SAO, it's an overhyped anime. I didn't see anything special in that anime. Just my opinion though.

 

Btw I haven't seen a new anime in the last few month, any recommendation?? Ecchi is good, LOL

Cobra Space Adventure.

80s Shounen, freaking ridiculous, and seeminly the inspiration for Megaman, Metroid, and most characters that wear red outfits and have blond-white hair.

There's also some gratuitous nudity, tons of ridiculous fighting and cheesy lines. It has everything you need. xD

Some of it is on Crunchyroll but not the original series.

Rape in berserk was the most fucked I can think of if anyone is curious just read the wiki description.

 

Psychic Detective Yakumo has a cool main character if anyone's tired of harem losers.

There was a lot of almost-rape very early on, so I stopped watching. I maybe got into episode 3-4 ish and just went "just...no. can't do it."

Oh god, Sword Art Online dumped that on us right at near the middle of season 2, when we were all so invested that we JUST COULDN'T STOP AT THAT POINT. It got really dark (not that Season One wasn't, but not in the same way by any stretch( and it was a bit uncomfortable for me from that point on. I feel bad because I loved the rest of the show, but that bit just....AAAARGH, WHY DID YOU REMIND ME, I HAD FORGOTTEN. *cries in the corner*

 

 

 

 

On to happy thoughts! Uhh, I also like Inu x Boku Secret Service, My Little Monster and Durarara!! (no, I'm not super-excited for it - that's just the title. :) ) ...I've just realised that those shows have some dark bits as well... Ffffff- *lost my happy place*
