Tensu_Makadi Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 I watch some anime but only action packed anime such as Trigun,Blue Exorcist,Full Metal Alchemist(original and brother hood),Hellsing(original and ultima,though I'm still waiting for the last eps to be dubbed),Ghost in The Shell,Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.If I had to choose one of the animes I listed it would either be Trigun or FMA. Me thinks your missing the joys of watching subbed as that list is small and all ones that where dubbed. If I may recommend for all Log Horizon, Strike the Blood, and Arpeggio of Blue Steal. Yes I'm going off of Crunchyroll's fall list but these days I can't invest as much into animes as I did back when I was 15 and I don't like getting them from pirate sites.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Technically Fansubbing isn't pirating, No one is loosing money off an anime that is currently airing on TV or Crunchyroll when a fansub group rips it and releases it therefor it isn't pirating. It becomes pirating when they rip the show off of a DVD or Blue ray and distribute it.

AnimeNetwork, Hulu, CrunchyRoll all have paid advertising in one form or another. Plus a lot of uncensored stuff is available on NetFlix now. Ease of access and free viewing kinda kills the pirate's angle.

I tried to get into subbed anime but I can't get into subbed anime,it makes it so much harder to tell if what the actor is saying is what the character is actually saying or just thinking it,plus it is harder to tell the emotions in what is be said be a character.I would rather hear the story in English than learn Japanese just to know proper context of everything being said or thought by the characters.I don't have a problem learning new languages when it serves multiple purposes but in this case why bother,I already am fluent in the languages that interest me plus they help me in me line of work often,I know German,Russian,Swedish,Croatian,Bulgarian,Hebrew,and Arabic.

Some people would rather watch dubbed anime, than subbed. I, personally, will tend to favor anime that's dubbed over subtitles... because I tend to do other things while I have the TV on in the background. Read, play portable games, fix shit, whatever. So my metric for whether or not a movie or anime is good or, at least, something that will interest me, is whether or not just from the audio the show can pull me away from whatever else it is that I'm doing. I can't do that with dubbed anime since it forces me to pay attention to a single task - reading subtitles. And since the vast majority of anime is crap, it's a real time waster sifting through numerous subtitled shows trying to find the gems.

I’m to the point now where I read wikis before I start watching a series since the anime descriptions rarely reflect what is really going on. I’m also tired of the antagonists that refuse to die and the love triangle where the protagonist ignores the love interest that is best match. I guess I’m getting very picky about what I watch.

Probably the only healthy relationship Banri has is with his best friend Mitsou. And the op is pretty misleading, it shows Banri and Koko being the dream couple of fate which in fact they aren't. The reality is the two of them are awful together, Banri not really emotionally committed to Koko, and he and Linda still hopelessly in love. And the ghost Banri thing is kinda annoying, if you're dead, you stay dead lol. I've seen better romantic animes like White Album 2. As for Valverave, plotholes simple as that. They didn't even explain the rape scenario lol.

Is valrape good? I heard about that anime many times, I like their robot though..
