I love DD, but all the red, white, gold, green, yellow, blue, pink, cyan, orange-with-lime-green-polka-dots stuff always just seems a bit silly to me in an Elder Scrolls context. Rope, metal and good old black leather make a lot more sense.

 

I might try doing the same thing again on AE now. I remember it being quite a bit of tedious copy-paste work, but it was worth it.

 

reminds me of one of my older projects of retexturing the stuff in an immersive way... Maybe I find some time to continue that project.

I'm trying Devious Curses as my main DD mod.  It has an exclusions json and a theme json that you can configure.  I did a poor job on my last game exluding things but finally made it work with some of the authors help.  I didn't see any pink which was a positive.  May consider looking at it over the Dev Enchanted Chests.  It has a lot of features.

Anyone use Devious Devices mods?  I am trying them and I'm just not sure what to think.  I'm restarting with the new ND and trying to make a decision.  My last game was the first time to have them really impact the game.  I tried Devious Curses, Dev Ench Chests the game before.  DC works really well and is consistent throughout the game. DD is a stable in my LO, due to the many mods I use that depend on it.
I think you might like Lauras Bondage Shop. Unforgiving Devices ... depends, as the name suggests, it is pretty hardcore and can impede normal gameplay a lot. I would be careful and only drop it into an experimental LO, as it can not be removed again. Not sure if it can be completely disabled by now, back when I tested it, that was not possible either.

Thank you.  This is very intersting and I like some of them immediately.  I need to learn how to convert clothing to 3BA and this will be a wonderful test project.  I have a preset of me that I use and don't use outfits that don't adjust to it.  Something else to look forward to learning.  Thank you for your kind suggestion.  💖

All there is already 3BA, but CBBE 3BA, if you use another body it would not be good, as for me with BHUNP

First, I have the 5.27 ND loaded.  If you test 5.28, I would appreciate your suggestion on whether to use it instead.  Second, playing with DD devices makes the game almost unplayable.  Spawned in at Nightgate Inn (DD attached and assaulted twice before leaving).  Went outside, 3 men assaulted me.  Made my way down the road and cleared a dungeon to gain experience.  More DDs attached inside.  Exit, assualted by passing merchant.  Heading to a fort to clear it for a bounty.  Cleared it and headed to Dawnstar to get reward.  Passing by the giant camp and the bandits assaulted me and stole my weapons and gear.  More devices added.  (I had removed some of them after finding keys in the dungeon).  Enter the giant camp to loot the chest.  I have giants and mammoths as friendly so they don't attack but they assualt me.  Now I'm so full of the stuff I can only walk.  Dawnstar - assaulted by guards when I enter the city.  Blacksmith assaulted and added a device when trying to sell things.  Then sold some things to get money.  Went to Jarl and received reward.  Housecarl assaulted me.   

 

I realize that this is the result of the mods I chose (Devious Interests and Deviously Helpless along with Devious Curses NG) but this was one or two game days of activity.  So know I can only walk, have no armor, no weapons, little money and no keys to remove anything.  I just don't know how people actually play the game like this.   If this is what DDs are supposed to be like, no thanks.  You did provide a few suggestins for mods.  If you could critique my added mods and have any thoughts about making changes, I would appreciate it.  (I've already restarted after disabling them out of frustration but I'm only in the start room and can start again easily)  Thank you.

Yeah, that pretty well describes why I pulled DD from my load order.  I often put it back in because it adds some great helplessness, but it gets in the way WAY too easily.  It would be great to find a nice balance, but I couldn't quite get there.  Devious Interests in particular is invasive.  For me, I pared it down to Devious chests, Laura's shop, Deviously Vanilla (which can have some issues of its own, but integrates well in gameplay), and Devious Cidna for a good couple of Simple Slavery outcomes.  I also turned the escape difficulty way down for options on moving on..  But at a certain point you just wanna play the game too.  :)

Thank you.   Seriously mean that.  I was struggling mentally for some reason trying to see the DDs as a fun way to play the game.  I don't mind some of the sexy outfits and would never choose them to play in as not lore friendly.  But, if a DD mod made me wear them I could roleplay as acceptable to a degree.  For me, "pulled from my load order" will be my way to play the game I think.  For now😄. 

 

I've not tried Devious Cidna but will consider it with your recommendation.  Always looking for another SS++ option.  I'm going to try Captive Player and you may consider looking at it.  An enhanced Simple Slavery bandit camp option.  More difficult than Nymra's version.  Probably.  Thanks again.🥰

DD is a framework, it does nothing on its own. It just offers options. The problem stems from choosing several mods that do stuff and add items and likely leaving them pretty much at default. Of the mods you listed I'm only using Devious Curses NG with the chances of getting devices added rather low (probably to low currently as I'm swimming in keys ^^).
Devious Interests sounded interesting, but I quickly found it's to hardcore for me, if I tone it down to an acceptable level almost everything is off. So no reason to keep it in my LO. Deviously Helpless, also not my cup of tea. 
I usually use more quest oriented DD mods, the random crap happens mods are usually just getting me riled up. So it's stuff like Lauras Bondage Shop, Sexlab Stories (Devious), Ebonitium, Deviously Pink, Captured Dreams, Deviously Accessible, Devious Lore. Much more controlled and story driven. Easier to get into it for me.
The random stuff is pretty much limited to Devious Curses and Devious Carriages (both set to low chances).
DD is not the problem, the problem is the mods people use (and at times fail to set up to their taste, most of those random mods are slightly overtuned already if all alone (IMHO), if you pile several of them on top of each other ... well user error really, sorry).
You might also want a mod or two that allow you more options to get out of stuff, several of the mods above allow for that ... at a price. I also recomend adding "Better NPC support for Devious Devices" to your LO.

Critique and criticism rightly accepted.  And appreciated.  The mods you mentioned will be looked at next time I think about using a DD mod.  Knowing some older DD mods are reliable was very helpful.  @Bigglsby gave one suggestion I plan to consider as well.  ND is the most complex MCM I have used prior to trying DD mods.  I think I was overwhelmed and left everything at default half expecting the default settings to be the recommended settings.  I can learn and will examine the mods you listed and perhaps consider another try.  For now, off to see Daegon and then Serana. 🥰In my leather bikini and high heeled boots...  (lore friendly of course). IF the mod that utilizes DD does not let you control the level, Distribution and possibly the individual device type then I would not use that mod. Make it known to the mod developer of that particular mod that you need that type of control. If its to old and not in development drop it. The only exception I have is Devious Followers. It has the heavy bondage chains which you have to go into console and command to get rid of and end that portion of the quest. I have the same rule with the sex on demand type of mods. If they do not allow me to control the timing and amount I do not use them. There are enough mods out there that allow you to play the game and eat your cake to.

There is certainly a reason, question is what is it.
It sounds like you have Nymras spawn service enabled? What happens if you disable it? Also you didn't mention who or what defeated you. Was it a vanilla creature/NPC? Something mod added or mod modified? Also, papyrus log please?

If it does will try to find bug in my game. For me ND always aborts after teleport

i was defeated by vanilla dragur, nymras spawn is not enabled in the mcm.

How do i turn off afterlife? its really annoying to just get defeated then robbed (can't turn it off) then sent halfway across the globe after being raped by a bunch of random daedra.
