Thanks!

I have PapyrusUtil (VR) on board and active.

I'll try another compile - just let me try something...

OK, I managed to compile the script (and learned a little more on the way). I can confirm this stops the spinning issue with the Skyrim Kiss mod!

Unfortunately, in first person the animations are awkward, and don't really work (perhaps the XP skellie boundary stops the actors closing to the right distance?). But there's perhaps room for experiment from those who wish to take it further.

Very many thanks for your help, Traison. Here's the compiled PEX for you and @JayDrizzle to use.  I can't make any guarantees but at least the spinning is stopped!

Do you have sexlab installed by any chance?

Yes, plus the VR patch and the VRIK/Zaz spinning patch.

Could you try this patch for the spinning instead then? I noticed SexLab changes the behaviour of SetVehicle which is what creates the spinning issue. It fixed my issue for the sailable ship mod and fixed the spinning with Zaz furniture (allthough the position tends to be incorrect now in some cases).

Thanks for the suggestion!

I have the patch installed already. It had no effect on the Skyrim Kiss mod which uses its own (non-Sexlab) animations that are supposed to be viewed in 3rd person.

This is the reason I asked if a patch could be made.

Sadly the Skyrim Kiss's animations don't work so well in first person (arms and bodies in odd positions). So I guess it's a lost cause.

Ahh. I just assumed it used SetVehicle in it's code somewhere as using that while having sexlab installed is the only instance I encountered the spinning issue. But good to know that there are other instances.

It certainly uses SetVehicle, but the animation set is unrelated to Sexlab. I don't believe the author will do a VR version.  Thanks for your help!

I'm the dev of the VRIK better heels support and DD animation patch. I decided to update them a bit. Both had a design change removing their scripts from the Player object and are now functioning as quests/magic effects. I heard somewhere that that's a better practice. But that does mean that I'm not sure if it's safe to update. If you want to try these two versions then uninstall the previous ones first. Make a backup of your old save. Load the save, wait a minute and save it again. And then clean the save before installing the new patches. Just to be safe.

There is however a new feature in the DD animation patch that might make it worth your while to update. It will now animate proparly on DD events like vibrations. That does mean that your head will move on it's own so it's not for people that tend to get vr sick. It now also has better support for bitchsuits. Your head will actually get pushed down to the ground now.

Now a disclaimer. DD doesn't notify mods of animations so to make it work I had to rely on checking whether the player has move controls enabled every second. Which in theory is a slight (but unnoticable) performance hit. And it might also disable IK functionality in other situation where the player has no move controls like when bleeding out. Allthough personally I see that case as a good thing.

If you encounters issues with the new versions let me know.

Question about Fertility mod Name change helper or FMV

I am editing this to firstly say super duper thank you! It works!  The name change thing is super awesome.

I need to know if I need all 3: Fertility mode, Fertility mode fixes, and yours FM 4.

When I take off the fm3 fixes I get the issue below..

I seem to be getting a corrupted game where it shows my hands as someone elses holding the game controllers in game.

Is this because I also have the fertility mode3 fixes installed?

I am getting conflicting stories back n forth. I much rather just take the fixes off and just have the original fm mode with this patch for the name problem in Vr.  I am also getting an SOS error message that 2 of the schlong addons have changed.

Seems like every since I installed that FM3 mod things started getting whacked.

I sent you a message about paying you to tweek Jaxsons positioner mod so we can some how use it for VR. Your skill and smarts is so impresive that I am just blown away! Thank you again!

Touring carriage has spin issue even with CylonSurfer's patch,

Can this mod fix the problem?

Thanks for the good work!

CyclonSurfer's VR fix:

post section describes the spinning issue.

Try this. I had spin issues with the sailable ship VR mod. Discovered it's related to sexlab changing how SetVehicle works. So it may work for touring cariages as well. Just make sure that it overwrites SL and SL VR Patch.

sidenote: I only now realized that by posting links to comments in LL, the embedded element contains multiple links. One to go to the comment and the other wil take you to the begining of thread. Very confusing LL. So I can imagine why you had trouble finding it.

So, the name-a-child bug (can't interact with the text input in VR) is also present in the newer Fertility Mode+, exactly the same issue as the OG fertility mode. Has anyone made a patch for this?

does dd patch still work with dd5.2?

Can't say with 100% certainty but if I remember correctly it does work.

I found a issue with SUM V2 & POP V5 - No Spin - VR Patch.zip this patch causes POP V5 to not progress after an arresting guard says "lets go". The guard will walk to his own pathing and idle animations indefinitely after that. with the patch turned off all works as expected except for the vile spin. Please if you could fix this or need additional testing I will gladly assist. Just to be clear it does in fact stop the spinning but sadly also impedes the POP mods progression for some reason, having disabled and then letting it run to subsequently reenabling it after the arresting part it does seem to work.

Would you mind if I made and uploaded an edited version of the DD Patch?

There are some inefficiencies in it I'd like to optimize, particularly in regards to RegisterForUpdate (It is strongly recommended against using RegisterForUpdate as it causes the script to run indefinitely, even if you uninstall).

Sure go ahead. The only reason I made that patch in the first place was cause no one else did it and it was such an easy fix that it really started to annoy me enough to make a patch for it without properly learning how to use CK first. So if you can improve it then please do :)

Here's my edited version of the DD Animation Patch.

I did use the older version of the patch as a base, I haven't tried the latest one due to the presence of RegisterForUpdate, but I used it as a reference.

Changes I could find between this and the earlier version:

-Improved script performance.

  • Instead of polling in the background for (maybe) DD animations using scripts, a spell now monitors for DD animations using the conditions system instead.
  • Trimmed the amount of checks for individual keywords when updating. Checking for just zad_DeviousHeavyBondage appears to do the job.
  • Devices getting rapidly (un)equipped no longer trigger multiple unnecessary updates in a row. Now only one update gets queued.

-Added a console setting you can set if you don't want animations taking control of your camera, in case of motion sickness.

-Pet Suits now only adjust the camera height, not its position. It was causing movement glitches including sending me into walls constantly.

-VRIK mod settings no longer get modified unnecessarily if it isn't needed when a save is loaded.

-VRIK settings now get restored after having been modified, instead of explicitly changing the settings back.

-Removed Contraptions code as the events from Contraptions aren't reliable, it may also conflict with the VRIK no spin patch.

-Potentially irrelevant actions will no longer trigger camera animations, only animations from DD do.

-Cleaned Player (0000014) ITM record.

If you want to stop animations (vibrators, struggling) from moving the camera, type set VrikDdAnimationPatch_Animations to 0 in the console.

Due to major differences under the hood, I'm not sure this can be installed on a save that used any of the previous versions.

The previous version of the patch used RegisterForUpdate which means even if you uninstall the previous version, the game will keep trying to run updates and using resources even when it is uninstalled.

You can try to uninstall, load a save, type clearinvalidregistrations in the console and then save afterwards. I don't recommend doing this, and there's no guarantee the save will be clean.

6 months late on this but if anyone is having problems with the keyboard prompt locking your game for most mods, use this. Keep it at the very bottom of your load order so it overwrites all the other UILIB instances

Yeah, I think I would need to actually install this mod and look at it in game to make further progress. So either someone else should continue this, or I would - but I really don't know when..

Resurrecting this dead thread on the off chance some lonely VR user(there are dozens of us!) stumbles in out of the wasteland. DeWired's patch actually works but you just need to make a dummy ESP* named ConsoleUtilVR.esp and place it above the dse-display-model.esp.  I had just remembered I was trying to get this to work and actually looked at his code for a second.

Most of the furniture works and can have npc's assigned properly. Some furniture doesn't, but from what I can see that might just be the mod that's busted.

The patch in Question:

*Open creation kit. Save file. Name it ConsoleUtilVR.esp.
