If they are not the same skin type as other parts Such a problem will arise. The original settings of some NPCs are the same. If the problem you said is not like this, you can provide a screenshot

Presumably you'd just overwrite the face textures from this with the ones from that? Did you try it and got ugly results? Can you elaborate?

Did you try it and got ugly results? Can you elaborate? Unfortunately its not so easy. After extracting BSA2 there are texture files name seamless they don't match with texture files from KZIId skin. That's instructions form HiPolyRedux Seamless how to patch it ( its above my abilities ) : Q: Are body/face texture mods not compatible with HFR seamless? A: They are but they must match the vanilla seam pattern and skin tone (like the default CBBE), at least out-of-the-box. If you use texture sets, like Cridowskin for example, that are brighter or have different skin tones, you will need a modified face texture mask (SeamMask_d.dds). You can easily do so by using the provided modders resource. Place your current face texture (Textures\Actors\Character\basehumanfemale\BaseFemaleHead_d.dds) into the indicated layer and then save as 'SeamMask_d.dds' (BC3 formated DDS). And if your face texture is 1K resolution, resize the TIF before anything else. Use Photoshop + Intel texture works DDS plugin to use the TIF files, save using the following formats - Normal maps ('_n') --> BC5 DDS (the format and correct resolution for the face texture is very important!) - Body/head diffuse/color map ('_d') --> BC7 Fast/Fine Linear DDS - Face diffuse/color map ('_d') --> BC3 Linear DDS (the format and correct resolution for the face texture is very important!) [I highly recommend using the Nvidia texture tools plugin for this type particularly as the Intel BC3 compression is poor].
Brokokass Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 (edited) Great mod ! Thanks ! I wonder if it is normal that every type 2 nose with the face texture is very red like I was drunk or if it comes from another mod ? Like for exemple Roman 2 or Proeminent 2 etc Edited September 18, 2022 by Brokokass

If i rewrite "basefemalehead_d" with same file from, for example ONI or RQ mods, black face fixes, but color mistmach or neckseam appears.

It's possible that I (or my screen) am not all that sensitive to color mismatches, but make sure you're following the recommendation to use the second face/skin smoothness option in LM rather than the first (youthful) one. It makes a lot of difference when it comes to face/neck color matching.
Ends_and_Memes Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) how important are the files in the materials folders for skin mods? I'm using this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32845?tab=posts&BH=0 not sure if there will be problems if it's missing. Edited September 24, 2022 by Ends_and_Memes

Not really "missing" since the base game already provides materials (packed inside a BA2 archive), some mods just choose to replace those. If the mod doesn't include material files, the ones from the base game will be used instead. 1

Default clothes for Fusion Girl puts all the traders in the same clothes & all the scavengers in the same clothes & all the settlers in the same clothes. Kinda defeats the purpose? Do you know if that's been fixed or not?

I use the CCO replacers anyway, for a more-pervy-than-vanilla experience, but I have a hard time believing that the replacers included with FG are anything other than conversions of the vanilla outfits so should put traders, scavvers, settlers and such in the same outfits that the vanilla game does.

(basehumanfemalerear.bgsm) what about meshes? Mainly FemaleheadRear.nif in the CharacterAssets/FaceParts folder. I take it there might be some seams or something with out it? Thanks for the response by the way!

Thanks for the response by the way! Same answer applies, there is one in the base game which will get used by default if you don't have any mod supplying a replacement. As to whether it will look okay, I couldn't hazard a guess since I haven't tested that myself, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try and see whether it suits your needs. You can freely install/remove textures, materials and meshes mid-game with no risk. 1

Thanks yea so far I haven't had too much texture issues just struggling with getting the meshes on ASO to work properly. All I can change is the nude body, outfits aren't conforming to the different bodies I'm using.

Did you build the clothing (with morphs) in BodySlide, and is it made for/converted to the version of the Fusion Girl body you're using? Note that any clothing converted for use with FG 1.75 or later should work with any FG body version 1.75 or later, so just make sure you have the current FG and recent enough clothing to work with at least 1.75. 1
