Sorry to upset you. No worries, you didn't upset me. I appreciate your response and explanation, I'm just frustrated that it takes so much to correct this one mod. I understand the dependencies, but not the reason for the drastic repair. Any case, I blame Bethesda more for forcing us to have the stupid new version, so...yeah. Even when stripped down to the basic necessities, no character has a devourment belly. Nothing happens when eating. All settings are default as of the latest version of the mod. If it helps I don't see DR dependencies changing too much since most have gone over to AE. Of course I can't make any solid promises. I'm working on getting stuff together for a vortex install video. Then maybe a few weeks later I'll reinstall the 9/21 build and see if I can reproduce this issue again and fix it without a full reinstall. If you have you have the Vore Spells but not the Perk Trees the best guess I have is this. The perk trees depends on these I think. Custom Skills Framework which requires Net Script Framework AND PowerOfThree's Spell Perk Item Distributor which requires Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender SKSE Address Library Plugins One of those could to be the culprit either though corruption or the Mod Manager screwing up. But what's odd is when I had this issue as mentioned above I had the spells/powers but not the perk trees. Even when using the alternate perk tree that's supposed to work if Custom Skills isn't installed. I usually run a Devourment Test Profile in Vortex where I only have the DR dependencies installed to try to isolate issues, but that doesn't always work and I still have to reinstall. As I said it seems like Vortex was the root of my issue. After I said screw it and uninstalled everything then started fresh Vortex installed everything correctly and everything worked. I really wish I could suggest something else. If I ever find a way to fix it better I will quote you to let you know

Killgore1221 Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Im having a slight issue. I can build everything in Bodyslide, Run FNIS, and have all the dependencies. I can also get into the main menu and select new game and it will load for about a second before crashing to desktop. I've attached the crash report as I dont really know how to read them. 90867 Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 I have installed devourment and have done several playthroughs with different characters using this mod perfectly fine. Now (for some unknown reason) every time I start a new character they spawn in without any of the devourment powers the skills and stats page doesn't load and none of the npc vore conversations work. I have tried resetting and reinstalling devourment and it still does nothing. However, my old saves still work perfectly fine and I can use devourment on them, just not on any new characters. Help?
TeamJimmyJohns Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Is there any way to delete the items you're currently digesting? I'm using Mortal Weapons and Armors. When a creature dies, their items get taken off their body for a second to have durabilities assigned. If an item has a bad world mesh, the game can CTD. The problem comes from the fact that I've eaten a humanoid, who has an item with a bad world mesh. If I barf up the items, the item gets separated from the body, and then I CTD. If I finish digesting the creature, the item appears in the open world for a split second to have a durability assigned and, you guessed it, CTD. Seemingly, my only options are to either find a way to delete all items in wherever they're stored during digestion, OR disable MWA before I finish digesting, which messes up the durability values of a lot of gear I'm wearing and is a pain to restore with the debug menu. Is there any suggestion on how to do the former to spare myself the hassle of the latter?

I was told that it had to do with an NPC issue and how they interacted with the world. here is my log for reference. My guess with mine was the Imperial Captain was the cause of my crash. I can't say for sure but maybe the starting area is bugging out or corrupted. if you go back there on an old save does it crash? The other thing I could see if "ShowRaceMenu" command crashes the game but that's a longshot. Also did you update from the 9/21 build? or do a 100% fresh install? Edited March 12, 2022 by SAOFan4Ever

Get the current Libfire first. But it could also be that the npc's are just escaping quickly. You could run a test on yourself by spawning a bandit to eat you. Gherking Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Everybody crashing on new games or save loads, make sure that you have the most current SE (not AE) version of Spell Perk Item Distributor, and that you don't have any outdated DISTR files in your data folder from older Refactor builds.

Spell Perk Item Distributor is here; you want the second and third files down. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36869?tab=files The second is the version you need, and the third should re-format any outdated DISTR files to the correct... format.

Thanks for the the info Gherking. Not trying to give bad advice. If you can, could you look at KillJoyTROV's issue? I experienced that issue too, but I never could figure out why DR wouldn't detect NetScript Framework and Custom Skills Framework even though they were the correct version.
