What?! For me that sounds ridicolous ^^ The only thing that "kills" graphics cards is overheating and to achieve this you either have to do some advanced overclocking techniques (= letting it pull way too much power) or just remove the cooler.

But this is more hardware side. If you're GPU runs stable, no software will "kill" it. They are built to handle that stuff. ENB doesn't change that. Hell, if more stress would kill it faster, rendering machines would have to replace them every half a year ^^

I've run the RealVision ENB Quality Preset on way worse specs with no real problems, just barely 25 fps^^

I recommend you simply try it out and see if your game is still playable and if you like how it looks. You can't do any real damage.

Well one thing you'll want to remember is that ENB's are very hard on video cards and have a tendency to kill them faster.

strange if all enb do that enb is a mistake imo :/

I have never heard of an ENB killing a video card. That is absolutely absurd. if this was the case each enb would have a note about using it at your own risk and a stipulation that the author is not responsible for any damage. People wouldn't use them then.

They are heavy on GRAM though. I used to have the same card as you but different enbs. I have been using Somber Dreams for years because I like the lighting and ambiance it gives:

The one thing that I have found that's the most important part of an enb is its localenb file. This can break it or make for your setup. Notice my frames:

I once used Bleak with its enblocal file but then changed to another enb keeping Bleak's file. It kicked my frames way up. This is from using FRAPS.

What I suggest is to load the enb and disable your graphic mods and then slowly enable them to see how it changes with your stability. Go to Solitude or a busy inn, use FRAPS or Steam's FPS display and slowly see what happens.

If an ENB "kills" your card, your card was going to fail to begin with. Do ENB's generate more heat? Yes. The entire point of an ENB outside of Skyrim is to add processes to the imagespace of a game that don't otherwise exist. That's literally what ENB is designed to do.

With Skyrim ENB does the above and also manages texture and model memory usage.

The caveat you seem to be deliberately ignoring is an ENB is as hard on framerate, shader  and memory usage as >you< make it.

Both inis exist for a reason. If you're just installing an ENB and then playing that usage is entirely on you. The reason the inis are exposed and plain text is you are supposed to modify them to suit your system, not someone else's, yours.

If you intend to use enb at all some reading should be in your future.

Are you using ENBoost or an ENB preset? The image suggests a preset but you say you started to use enboost. If you were using a preset then you were already also using ENBoost.

When you launch Skyrim do you see text like this:

341259452_ENBmessage.thumb.jpg.858c8871221b3705f89e8abc139ae748.jpg

And is the text read or white?

Post your enblocal.ini here.

Where did you get this figure from, it is less than 4GB.

VideoMemorySizeMb=3968

Set up your enblocal.ini by following this:

https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Guide:ENB

what you mean by figure? if you talk about the file i send to you is the enb boost https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649?tab=files&file_id=1000054383 it really makes my game better (at least the fps) i really have to mess in it again? :/

Posted

Did you run the VRAM test program as recommended by S.T.E.P.? You don't have to 'mess in it again'. All you have to do is run the VRAM test program and subtract 350 then enter that number in in the enblocal.ini file.

I am saying that VideoMemorySizeMb=396 is less than 4GB of memory being allocated and this is too little. ENBoost will make your game more stable but less than 4GB of video memory will not allow you to run a preset and have anywhere near decent FPS.

Whoa. I've just clicked on the Nexus link you posted. That is not ENBoost or anything you should be using. Follow the S.T.E.P. guide.

but that thing really help the fps i running the preset with more then 60 fps and it was 15 before why i cant use it? :(. i already had done those steps before  ( one time they are in the instalation guide for snapdragon enb page) but they probally got overwrited by the enboost i post the link

edit: i found my memory log

MemoryBlocksLog.log
