Is there a mod that ports Mass Effect guns to New Vegas? I know VGU had one so if someone could point me to a download that still works that would be great.

Yeah, but he also leaves the vast majority of his projects half done.

 

 

Most of his projects are completed. Is there any particular one that you were keeping an eye out for?

The female support for the majority of his mods that he keeps claiming is coming. The messed up leveled list in the NCR overhaul that causes naked troopers, and the wrong inventory that causes the crash at the AFB. Wilhaven's only half complete.

Is there a mod that behaves similar to setbody from Oblivion? Where npcs are given different bodies, but they have bnb compatibility?  Body control was nice but, it's having some problems. Particularly in the bnb department.

There's always Body By Race. Though if you use sexout it's said to not get along.

for 2) there's Project Nevada, which is a great overhaul of the whole gameplay, it's full of wonderful things. But, in my opinion, it doesn't give the same survival experience. Anyway it has a "FWE mode" and the possibility to reduce drastically the loot, it also has add-on for extra options. I really still have to find something so exciting as FWE in New Vegas. Also, there's Arwen if you are in the mood for some hardcore gameplay.

 

for 3) there are many, it depends by the kind of immersion you want. Primary needs are not really necessary since hardcore mode already cover them (still, it's not pretty as FWE). Then there are a lot of mods which introduce new sophisticated functions, usually they require NVSE. Of course if these cover your definition of "immersion".

for 4) I admit I've never seen one... I use... cars I'm aware probably they're not the best for immersion for many, but still they're a nice alternative for fast travel, they make distances shorted and they must be bought, nothing for free (well, excluding a certain hilarious car in a certain parking...) but also they require a good rig to work smooth.

I've always disliked the fast travel as well, with no chance of random encounters and not taking any notable game time. I tend to avoid using it and usually run between locations.

 

I wonder if it is possible to run a script on fast travel to add random encounters. Probably not, but I suppose a scripted item could be added that brings up a menu of visited locations and do it that way. Could also add FO1 / FO2 style caravan runs a similar way. ...Its on my (busy) to do list.

JIP did something like that, following some sort of FO1/2 style. I checked the script and it's amazing as any of his scripts, but the concept beneath is quite simple, brilliant. Essentially you can fast travel with its own system, in any place of the map. It shows a custom map on the hud, you click in a random place and you teleport there. It calculates the distance and the chance to make encounters. This makes the common fast travel unuseful, if you think, and adds spawns derived by travel. I also think (but not sure) all of these things are configurable by MCM.

And if you, like me, were wondering how it can evaluate the Z, the height, how comes you don't stick inside a mountain when you fast travel... god when I saw what he did in the script I thought "that's absolutely brilliant! this is thinking out of the box!". JIP's one of the few deep inspirations for me.

That looks awesome, will be checking it out. Guess I can tick that off my mods-to-make list then. Just got to expand shake-the-dope-out to include the other drugs, continue the AKH dream story, add 5 or 6 locations to soliciting, make food rot, and create various illnesses and diseases (cholera, salmonella..) then. Is there a mod for the second two already?

I dont' play since a while and my memory's not the best. But I do remember Project Nevada alters some food IDs and you find "sealed Sarsaparilla - fresh", or something like that. Would be worth a look maybe. But not for diseases from what I recall.

Still, there's a very pretty mod that gives wonderful visual effects to drugs (like the ones in FWE), I think it's called Drugs are bad 'mkay or something like this.It is pretty hilarious.

 

I had similar effects in FWE (ok ok I should stop to name that, but god that made my FO3 experience top of any other experience I ever did), so for example I recall entering in AWOP Mama Dulce, where you find A LOOOOT of angry chineses, and I mean A LOOOOOT. I was there with many companions and still to kill them all it took me I don't know like 40-50 efforts, without exagerating. It was incredible. Still let's take in mind I'm uncapped at 31 and still I die for 1-2 bullets, so to survive at that rain of fire, I had to drug myself a lot, morphine,psycho, and all those names that finish with -ine and things like that. The result was that I was taking hundreds of bullets while laughing, I was almost invincible, I assume I couldn't bleed because I was so high that would be like shooting to a zombie, it doesn't bleed. But on the other side I couldn't see anything since the sight was so distorted by so many IMODs one over the other, that all I was doing was pewpewpewpewpewpewpewpew randomly, I think I was hitting one chinese every 4-5 wasted magazines, if the walls were alive I think I killed all the walls that day. Amazing. Simply. Fabulous. I won't go to AWOP Mama Dulce anymore, that's a baaad place, believe me.

 

Anyway when you are in the mood I would have half suggestion to share for AKH

I'm relatively new to this site and have been looking around at all the wonderful mods for FO3 and NV. I have a couple requests, please. I realize that most of the sex mods assume a female PC. I usually play a male and wonder if there are any geared to male PC  "encounters". Also.. I think a spanking mod would be fun to have as well. I see some BDSM mods here. I know animatinos are tough to do ( I dabble in 3D art myself .. Poser..but am lost in the GECK and not familiar with Blender ), but a looped spanking animation shouldn't be too too hard. Anyway.. those are my requests,

@asherdurmort:  I'm not well versed in all of the Sexout mods, but there are several companion quest mods like msex Veronica and Sexout Willow, which provides actual sex instead of the fade to blacks.  Sexout Affairs allows you to wine and dine a lovely lady in Primm.

 

If you go to the parent forum for Fallout 3/NV, you'll see sub-forums for Sexout, Fallout Adult, and Fallout Non-Adult.  There are download links in those forums that will allow you to browse to see what else is available.  When you're in a downloads sub-forum, there's a link above all the posts that says "Browse...".  If you click that and then the next browse link that loads after that, you'll see categories as well as descriptions.
