Jenneke Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I tested this out on a clean save in Whiterun. I killed a guard, surrendered to another and went to jail. He then auto talked to me again saying I had a bounty of 0. If I told him to take me to jail all the guards went hostile, paying it just made things continue. My main question is, could you implement a temporary setessential tag on the player while imprisoned? I ask because the whipping did real damage and lasted long enough to kill the character.

Went up to a Bounty of 2000 and then told the guard he should take me to prison - no marching to prison, nothing, zip. Only the default scene begins. Also used startquest xpoMain and tested again, same result. xazPrisonOverhaul.esp is last in Load Order. Also tested with complete new Savegame, same result. Have some scripts like xaz_SF_xazpPrisoner_TravelTo_03002DBC.pex in script folder, it is from 07.Feb.2013. As there are no scripts in the actual zip-file I think these can be deleted?

Waitings real hours or so to be released is a bit boring :/ If it takes you "real hours" then something must be wrong. I don't think I have ever checked how long the whole sentence takes, but I do know that time passes faster in the cell (something like 1 game hour equals 1 minute real time). It's really not bad considering you broke the law The possibility exists that some other mods that manage game time may be resetting XPO's adjustments. That's my guess.

xaz Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Great mod, finally had a large enough bounty to try it out completely. Got arrested in Whiterun, and everything went smoothly. Taken to town square, whipped by jailer. Jailer would walk to steps, and stop then return for more whippings. No Whiterun residents joined in on the fun. [bug] After taken back to cell tried to sleep, but kept getting message "You can not sleep while taking damage". Tried waiting basically same message as before. I am not using any mod that alters damage of any kind. I'll add a note in the documentation about this... The collar you're wearing continuously heals and damages you. The healing is significantly more (to compensate for some mods altering whipping damage), but this also has the effect of shutting down fast travel, wait and sleep. I wanted to block those effects, because sleep and wait interferes with the normal flow of the mod, and fast travel would of course not work at all. Instead of having you wait out sentences, time is accelerated when in the cell and in the stocks. (1h game time takes roughly 60s real time.) If you prefer to control time by waiting and sleeping, you can unequip the collar manually. Either open inventory and just drop the item (you can do this in the cell for instance), or use the console.

I set this to 60 by default, and 2 during the transport and whipping scenes. I play at 5, and 20 is default setting in Skyrim. I've heard that setting it low or high (less than 2 or higher than 30000) causes bugs in the game. I've ran my game at 600 with no apparent problems, but no idea if that actually causes long term issues with quests and so on. Maybe this should be an option you can configure... and maybe it's time to create a config menu for this mod.

Your problem is likely these old scripts. Remove all files you've ever installed as part of this module, including from older versions (especially including from older versions), then reinstall the mod using just the latest version. If you can't recall which files you installed (I won't blame you for this, quite a few files), then look in the Scripts and Scripts\Source folders inside your Skyrim data folder. There remove all files called something containing "xaz" or "xpo".

selene03 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 [bug], I'm having a bug where for example my companion gets on the middle when I'm in the pillory and I'm about to get punished, the whipping never starts, the jailer just stands there on ready position, I found a way to fix this by going to the CK and removing the option of not start if blocked, so now the whips go on even if my companion is in the middle, is that or getting stuck there forever, I see this as a temporary fix I assume that there is a better way to solve this, I'm not a modder. also a couple things I that I think should not be allowed, your copanion/wife to punish you (I'm like oh you must have hated me all this time secretly to punish me on the first chance lol ) and sometimes when I'm being taken to prison/pillory the jailer stops and just stands there head-tracking me for a while till he resumes and take me to the next place, maybe put a shorter timeout for this (if possible) I have spend some real time waiting for the jailer to move which makes trips a bit tedious but don't want to go as far as enabling fastforward. Thanks for this mod, it keeps getting better and better

Whilst the scope and execution thus far have been fantastic, there are a few little niggles that poke at me when I've had a mooch at xPO in action. Most are bugs which have already been noted in posts before this (i.e. pathing and blocking issues in Solitude, no gaoler spawning in Windhelm when taken to the evidence chests etc.etc) - I do feel as though waiting times need to be scaled a little better whilst waiting in a cell & also if you're far from the city you are to be taken to, as soon as you are nicked by a guard you should just be fast traveled there w/guard in tow. Aside from the notes in your future plans for this mod - the only other thing I would suggest upon is the idea of adding other prisoner npcs to the jails and/or being punished. I'm no expert at what it takes to create this kind of mod so I'm not sure how difficult this would be - (not sure if there's any other mods along those lines either). I only suggest because whilst arrested I feel as though I'm the only person in Skyrim who has ever committed a crime. Otherwise a fantastic mod and can't wait for further updates. p.s. What is the max number the console command 'set xpofastforward to x' goes to?

When you're let out, it slows down. Same for the pillories. When you're released from the mod (escape or normal release), it goes to whatever value you had before. The command I wrote above allows you to adjust it during the course of the mod, but it'll be overwritten when you leave the cell, enter pillories and so on, so you'll have to "reapply it". This is a solution to your problem until I get around to fixing it in another way. A few posts up I also mentioned how you can get rid of the entire time lapse system and go back to the regular wait/sleep approach.

The staring and so on is nothing I know how to fix, the ai just seems to like to stare at each other, the player and so on. I believe it's just the way they're coded, sort of like sims - they're all trying to defer to each other but just end up stuck waiting for someone to move. But I know even less about coding, so I could be wrong. At least the warping works just fine, though. I've never gotten permanently hung up on any NPCs while using this mod.

Theres a glitch or bug where if you keep punching the cell door the guards will try to come attack you. they open it for me and i escaped raising my bounty to about 6,000. i cant escape the atual prison faciity i cant interact with nothing and so i get arrested again but still no punishment and i have waited in game for about 31 days +. and also they sentenced me to 53 days of prison edit: nvm it just took forever you should lessen the sentence down to a week its way 2 long. and everyday- 2 days sometime during the day there should be a whipping or some punishment. The only problem i had was that i had deadly combat and so I had a stagger effect which staggered me out of place when i was getting whipped and i wasnt in the restraint position

You can also just unequip the collar (drop or from the console), and wait/sleep during the punishment. Fast forward only goes to 1. It's ment to solve tedious waiting for just transportation. Sure, I could teleport you directly to jail, but that's what fast forward does anyway, so ... see it as an option to skip if you don't want it, but if you do want it, you can have that too. I agree that npc prisoners would be nice. It's probably some time in the future. Some vanilla jails (Whiterun at least) already has a few prisoners in them. Though due to how the ai works, you may not notice they're prisoners, because they can sandbox outside their cells at times.

In the latest version, you get sentenced to 8am the next day. Did you clean out the scripts folder when upgrading? All files labeled something like "xaz" or "xpo" should be removed from both the Scripts and Scripts\Sources folders. Then reinstall the mod for good measure. Hope that helps.
Regcod Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi I'm using the last version and I found a problem: get caughted in witherun, the guard brought me in prison and the jailer took me in a cell closing it. When I 'opened' the cell, my player character has been controlled and brought in the market place then nothing happened. I can stay there also a year but nothing happen!!

Hope that helps. i did that ad removed some what seem to be real old ones. zaz bondage , and i also upgraded my zaz animation files and removed the old ones. however now when IM on version version 015 i dont get strip searched however when it said it was upgrading and i had it on 014 i did get stripped search. Im a go back to 014 to see if it works or not completly but if you can help with 015 it would be apreciated thanks for your help edit: in version 014 i cannot wait or sleep on the bed
