Hi,

I have a problem with the mod and need some help. Since I just got Fallout 4 out to play it again, I'm still testing mods before the adventure starts. I find your mod super exciting so I also invest a lot of time to get the running, but something does not work. Since I had already installed some mods and did not know if I broke something when installing back and forth, have uninstalled everything again incl. game have even deleted the fallout 4 folder and reinstalled everything that is necessary to get your mod to run.

What happens:

When i start the process i get the following message no matter if there is a npc in front of me or not. i didn't have one in front of me and just wanted to make a screenshot to show the message:

So I've seen in all the test before that your mod applies tattoos to women, despite the message, but the body morph doesn't work for me. When I read the error message in papyrus, I notice that the path to the file is not correct.

D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\Source\User\INVB_Overlay_MCM_Debug.psc" Line 8
Why and where did the program get the path?

My path to Fallout installation is:

B:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\Source\User

It can't find anything on D.

I have done > Bodyslide > build morphs

The CBBE sliders in the ingame looksmenu work, but your body morph does not. And the debug message confuses me as well as the path in the Papyrus log. Maybe you can figure it out. Would be great if the NPC have random tattoos and random bodies. Haven't found a comparable mod like this. Is the body morph supposed to work on male NPCs as well?

I don't have much experience with Fallout 4 mods. I hope my explanations help you and are enough.

Once that is done, my next step would be to add custom mods for male body hair.

Greetings

Bob

Greetings

Bob

I must admit that I really like my mod as well, it certainly livens up the game by creating little backstories for settlers and NPCs.

1. so you have discover a couple of bugs that exist because of you don't have any sex mods installed (AAF) and my script uses an API from the old fourplay script (located in AAF)

download the script and put it in scripts.

2. Males vs Females. so males should work. there is only one bodyhair mod I am aware of.. and that is still in beta(I think) and there is only two-ish male overlays mods as well.

3. The body morph regen is depended on Lookmenu's Bodygen to work located here->\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\BodyGen

because I am a big fan of it

so rename the folder to one of your mods for an example of how it works (you can make your own morphs by copying from bodyslide sliders xml's)

sorry for the errors, whenever I work on the mod next, I will add some of the fixes to it

an upcoming bug that you could/will encounter is related to the Outfit_framework mod. when you get more mods installed, it may start to override the outfits which leds to overlays not working.

this reason (and full mod support) is the reason why I moved to the Existence system from FPERedux (which can give overlays to every single NPC)

Hi and thanks for the quick reply. I have been trying around for a while. I also had a state with many Nexus mods and many AFF mods. But I missed the BodyGen thing. Had the feeling I broke something modded and therefore reinstalled everything with minimal mods. Therefore, the AFF FourPlay animation was missing. Had yesterday evening reinstalled everything and what I had at first also plus the BodyGen files. And now it worked see spoiler. That with the BodyGen I had read yesterday here in the forum also, but since I have not installed the LL_FourPlay I had not managed it.

My suggestion would be to list the requirements on the download page. With reference to BodyGen and LL_FourPlay and possibly other mods. Would be a shame if someone with less stamina this pearl as a mod again uninstalls because I do not understand what he has to do.

---

I'll have to try this with the FPERedux right away, but I didn't like the pregnancy thing and the possibilities in the MCM overwhelmed me a bit. Therefore, I would have liked to do without the AAF_FamilyPlanningEnhanced mod. I understood correctly that the INVB_OverlayFramework v1.50_FPE needs the AAF_FamilyPlanningEnhanced_4.011 mod the AAF_AutonomyEnhanced_v2.60b_FPE too or? are they standalone?

---

Other question:

The Mod "NPCMaleBodies" https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38676 is a "source" file for male body hair as *.esm it works for me in game, but is it posible to use it as custom mod in your framework must it be convertet to esl or esp?

I think that was it for now for a post.

Thank you!

So, I just tested it with AAF_FamilyPlanningEnhanced_4.011 and INVB_OverlayFramework v1.50_FPE

It works. The DEBUG noftications are still there, no clue it is a problem or not.

Does the BodyGen morph also work for men? I don't see any sliders in the looks menu, I need an extra mod I think, but tattoos work.

I continue testing ?

I don't actually know how it works otherwise I would have it as its own mod because it is really powerful for added content such as overlays.

and it would be great on Nexus.

you don't need AutonomyEnhanced, it is a soft requirement.

also the reason why I am using FPE Existence is because every NPC(human & Ghoul) from every mod is supported.

so men are supported but extemely underused. you have to find a male bodyslide kit (I cannot remember which one is supported by other mods)

Thank you Thank you Thank you! ?

I understand more now in any case. Since I've never played the DLCs and Fallout 5 will probably come in 2030 I want to give myself a nice adult Fallout 4 experience. Let's see when Starfield comes out and how fast the community is. I'm looking forward to exploring space with a sexy horny crew.

I would love to buy you a coffee and cake. If you like send me a PayPal Me link by PM. ?

Thx

Bob

bloody hell, I was just watching a youtube video about F4 Mods,

and I decided to download a mod called "Scourge"

and one of the requirements is a F4SE mod called "Spell Perk Item Distributor"

this mod adds Spells, Items and Perks to NPCs on load. (or something like that)

I never knew this mod existed (or at least, I didn't paid any attention at all)

so I will be making a new version of ROF(for nexus) that will use this mod.

*It will not replace the current(FPE) version because it has better options.

Whoa, great find!

I know, right

so I am going to work on it tomorrow.

and see if it works

also I might remove the overlays (and autonomy) from FPE Redux because it will be easier. (turns out that I need to add spells so I may as well add a MCM faction selector to the script for both mods.) but I will keep the rest of Existence.

btw here is the mod-> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48365?tab=description

so one more question.

does anyone use the DLC settings?

such as changes to the nuka world gang tattoos?

because I am thinking of removing them to reduce the requirements

also I was never happy with the far harbor part

I don't, but also any significant reduction in MCM settings count is appreciated, since I've lately been bumping up against the export limit for MCM Settings Manager (a little over 3K options).

so I made the changes and they work quite well at the moment.

I am really happy about it.

there will be a bit of tweaking in the future

so unless there is any problems then I will move Overlays and Autonomy to the new system.

about Nuka World(and Far harbor), I will remove the options for them.

I was hoping to inspire myself (or others) to make unique tattoos for those gangs so it make them pop even further but that didn't happen.

edit-> I should have taken a screenshot of Regs Maid (Red Rocket mod) with her Rust Tattoo. *it was a test to see if modded NPC gets tattoos

Added a hard requirement for Spell Perk Item Distributor

Here-> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48365?tab=description

I haven't updated FPE yet so if you are using both then turn off overlays in FPE (Factions to off, chances to 0%)

let me know if there is any issues. (yes, you do need the download above)

and post papyrus logs if there is any issues

Hi, thx

can I just uninstall FPE and replace INVB_OverlayFramework v1.50_FPE with INVB_OverlayFramework v1.60 without breaking my savegame? ?

Have made bad experience in the past with the removal of mods. There came mostly crashes. I have deactivated FPE as far as possible in MCM.

I use also AAF_AutonomyEnhanced_v2.60b_FPE. ? So I think I need FPE.

Don't know if I should update, at the moment everything is running stable.

I will be updating the files in the future

Don't know what's causing this but sometimes when I pick up and then equip a backpack from Backpacks of the Commonwealth my character would get a random tattoo (overlay) set from RFO. Not a big deal since I can remove it manually but it is kinda weird nonetheless.

It happens only when I equip the backpack I looted from dead NPC; when I equip the backpack that I looted from the world I don't get any overlays.

Any info on this? Very weird, it didn't happen before...

that is really weird???

I will have a look at that issue because I have no idea why that would be happening?

edit-> I quickly tested it but found nothing yet

can you give me more details?

which backpack?

Okay, sure. Let me break it down for you:

Backpacks of the Commonwealth - upon installing a message box pops up and asks the player to select spawn rate. Higher spawn rate means NPCs are more likely to spawn with the backpack whereas lower rate means the opposite. I've selected 10% spawn rate so the NPCs can spawn with backpacks but it's not that common.

SKK's Combat Stalkers - upon reaching level 14 on a current save the mentioned mod spawned a few hostile NPCs (Raiders in particular) and one of them carried a backpack ('Scribe's Backpack').

Random Overlay Framework is fully functional on my end, I've been playing with it for ages and it always, always worked! When I eliminated Raider stalkers from Combat Stalkers, I went to loot them. Upon looting all the goodies such as ammo, medicines, caps, I looted the Scribe's Backpack from one of them but I didn't equip it immediately. All the stalkers that I eliminated had a few overlays from ROF.

Upon equipping the backpack, my character got a set of overlays. As far as I can tell, the overlays are exactly the same as the NPC's who carried that backpack prior to my character.

Now, I went out and tested things out even further. Whenever I loot literally any APPAREL item from dead NPCs, everything functions normally. However, whenever I loot and then equip the backpack (any backpack, really) from Backpacks of the Commonwealth my character would get exactly the same overlay set as the NPC who wore the backpack prior to me.

That's everything I can think of. I've spent about hour and a half testing things out and I've written everything I found out.

It's not a big deal since I can just open the LooksMenu and remove the overlays manually from there, but I am curious why is this happening in the first place.

Nonetheless, I hope this information was useful! Thanks for replying and sharing this great mod! Can't imagine playing FO4 without it!

Take care!

thank you,

and thanks for the details, (I will check both)

I will posting the mod to nexus because it has reached that level again (all NPC's being supported)

and after I fix the issue with AAF (it gives the player's AAF double tattoos)

(while the versions before used outfit Framework or FPE Redux so it is a huge improvement)

personally I am amazed that four things

1. no one has done it before (because to be honest, it was fairly easy to make)

2. it makes NPC's pop a bit more (I particularly like when you see a hint of a tattoo)

3. (in my head canon) it gives a back story to NPCs (maybe a former slave)

4. (about haircuts) how much of a difference it makes (it is buggy) *I will be removing the megaton haircuts because it is a bit much

so I will be renumbering the version number to v2.0

so I was working on adding overlays to dead NPCs (which could have fixed the invisible bodies bug but I completely failed (it only worked once and that requires you to take the manager from the invisible body)

unless someone here knows how to force dead NPCs to cast spells (in the current version, they are receiving the spells but not casting them)

also I still having the AAF Double bug, I will keep looking into it (there is a check against the double but it keeps getting overlays)

v2.00 (Spell Perk Item Distributor Edition)

Removed FPE because of minor issues but mainly because of the Awesome mod "Spell Perk Item Distributor"

Added a hard requirement for Spell Perk Item Distributor

Here-> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48365?tab=description

Will Not Work without it

*FPE will be removing support as well

Fixed an issue with AAF Doppelganger
