I experienced the same thing initially, until I noticed I didn't pick the replacer version. The replacer plugin for that one is fine and doesn't have the stray master record. Using the replacer plugins also saves you a lot of active plugin count if you're using many of the supported overlay packs like I do.

So I want to add some spice to the raiders mostly male in my game, I figured out how to make bodyhair overlays and it shows up fine in looksmenu. But I cant seem to get them to spawn on raiders. I made a quick .esp and put in the right array in armors under the Custom_strings_M, do I need to do anything else? Sorry pretty new to this stuff.

well I will play again later today (Personally I am not feeling up to modding or playing just yet)

and have a look at several Raider locations and see what happens there (However I do play with female heavy mods so it might take a bit of time)

 

maybe there is an issue with raiders.

That would be great, I understand burn out/not feeling up to modding so no rush. I feel like it is the raiders because it seems to work everywhere else, so maybe its just not being added to their lists?

so I tested male raiders, I cannot see a problem. maybe there is something amiss with your settings.

that is a problem with my mods, that I added so many options that it could appear buggy but really is not

*however I know that there is a chance for overlays to simply not work on a NPC (even at 100% chance) *still investigating

 

I tested the Corvega factory

 

and again the mod looks good, cannot wait for more options (darker, lighter, chest hair only, pubic only, and back)

*Males do need a lot of love with overlays.

Question, and my apologies if this has been answered previously and I missed it; but sometimes male raiders are getting an overlay but it puts boxers on them as well? My guess is that the manager is calling using a skin replacer that uses underwear, maybe? They still have genitalia and all that, it just pokes through where the bottom of the boxers should be. Anyone know a fix?

no, you have a texture issue.

 

while I don't know what mods you have

 

I would say to check this folder -> \Fallout 4\Data\Textures\actors\character\basehumanmale

and then look for a male texture mod

 

 

this is what the overlay looks, it is transparent with the exception of the hair

I will have to dig around and try maybe a 100% new game with only your mod and looksmenu going and test, I do hope to add more options for guys bodyhair it does need some love. Will try it out tomorrow.

a few things

1. can you post your load order

2. if you see this again(and if friendly), can you slm them (in console, click on them to get their name and id code) then get the names of the overlays used.

3. or if you see this again, can you go into console and select them and then type INV(and enter) and screenshot the results (look at the attached screenshot as an example)

4. SLM 14 and go over the overlays to find the problem one

if this is already written out and explained i am sorry but i got confused

my big question though is there a way to use this mod to inject a set of my own personal preference of tattoos onto npcs ie slaves instead of them random, example once someone is enslaved they will get x breast tattoo y pelvis tattoo z upper back tattoo

and how would i go about doing this.

Random Overlay Framework  is SUCH a brilliant idea, however it looks like it requires Family Planning Enhanced.
Is there a way of making RFO work WITHOUT all the inflation/babies/stds/etc. (and inevitable script bloat) that comes with FPE?

there is the older nonFPE version called INVB_OverlayFramework v1.50b.7z and it is located in the download page

 

but this doesn't reach as many NPCs and isn't NPC mod compatible(such as Outcasts And Remnants)

it also uses a mod called Outfit Framework.

 

 

personally, I would like to have Existence by itself (but I actually have no idea how it works) *because it would be good to have in Nexus
