Armor Conversions for YII - Techniques-Labors *COTS*

That depends on what you want. If you want the chainmail the completely covers the body, that's easy, the chainmail will actually replace the body. Its as simple as using NifSkope to replace the body texture with chainmail. If your looking for chainmail that can be worn under the clothes but over the body,That's more difficult. Some of them do not have much room between the body and the cloth, clipping will result.

I have no knowledge about blender or nifskope so i can't imagine how difficult it is. If the chainmail made to replace body texture will it be possible for it to be "equipable" so it can also be "unequiped"?

I see plenty of "skimpy" armors for unp/x117 that i think would look awesome if i have the option to wear chainmail under it or not, and another reason is because i want to use ECE instead of Race Menu overlay since i like ECE's face sliders. *crosses fingers*

Simple answer: Yes.

Advanced answer: Yes, if...

You'd have to edit all the skimpy armors for it to work as far as I know. And even then it might cause issues. Simpliest way is to learn how to do it (very simple) and edit the armor you like to use chainmail.

But lostdaywalker is the expert here, might know of a way that I don't :P

Here EC Anka armor set for UNP based body types(when wearing no chest trousers clipping and you see some skin upper leg).

Boots(little clipping) from lolilabs, head from musketeer set

This is the best that I can do.  I no longer have COTS installed so I have know Idea what this will look like. Also every armor is slightly different. This will not work on every armor. Some have parts of the body removed to avoid clipping, some do not have enough room between the body and the clothing for the chainmail to fit.  Craftable under elven or Console command "chainmail add-on" Uses slot 44

Edit:

Forgot to add .esp.

Ok quick question. Do the Mega links expire? Some of your older links will "download" to 100%, but then it just hangs there and I'm never given the save option. I was trying to grab the Armor Pack IX stuff. Or am I the only one seeing this?

Edit: And what the hell is the X117-UBB body? I'm a bit of a late comer. X117 I know from Oblivion, but the UBB is throwing me off.

LDW uninstalled CoTS?? Nooooooooo!
What's the world coming too?!
Think of the sky children everywhere!!
Think of the struggles they endure (and depending on how many follower mods you have) there's only like 4 in all of Skyrim!!

Granny needs lovin too, no? :P

no

Heh heh

Back on topic though, growing them up is fine. Wouldn't mind seeing more stuff specifically for UNPetite or Slim. Its a nice fit for those older teen/young adult heroines.

Someone needs to do a Skyrim version of the Rascal as a horse replacer. :)

Change some of the dialogue to things like "Damn kids! Get off my lawn!"

Thanks.

Just because the girls have grown up, does not mean a new generation will not rise to take their place.

We all know what happens when you grow up.

Looks interesting.  Don't see why it would not work for most. UBB-X117 might have an issue on certain armors though, since the tops have to be "reshaped" due to the lack of "cough" curves.  Give it a shot and report back. I'm kinda curious myself.
