@Uguu123

This can be done with Nifscope.

To rescale the whole skeleton, you need to change the SCALE value of the ROOT Node.

attachicon.gif1-Root Node - Location.JPG

Be sure to make a backup of the skeleton before making changes to it.

If for some odd reason the skeleton shifts upward (floating) or down (clipping into the ground) then you will need to change the value for the z-position.  Locate the ROOT Node and in the window below, find TRANSLATION and double click on that line.  Change the value of the z-position to reshift the skeleton.

I doubt this will happen when rescaling the ROOT Node, but just in case.  The shifting will happen if you rescale the SPINE Nodes or the PELVIC Node.

Hi. So, if I'm correct, doing this will decrease the default height of all the Elin characters in the game, correct? But I'm having some problem locating the skeleton.nif file - There's no Monli folder in meshes/actor/character. I've installed the Elin mod, and never installed Monli. Could this be the reason?

Hello Sjb411

You do not need any of the Monli race files for the Elins.  The Elins at one time used assets from the Monli race, but no more.

Yes, by rescaling the skeleton, you are in fact changing their height, much like what is done to a race in CK.  The Skeleton.nif is found in Meshes > Actors > 2chelin Fix.

I tried changing the scale and saving the data, but it doesn't do anything to the height of the Elins. Do I need to change a different skeleton.nif file? Like skeletonfemale.nif or skeleton.nif files in different folders such as 2chElin?

Try changing the skeletons that are packaged with the CBBE and UNP body replacers.  Choose the one you want to use and use the same method to change her scaling.

If you are using the Tera Body, you need to change the SKELETONFEMALE.nif that come with the Tera Body Main package.  There are 3 so choose the one you will be using.

So yeah. It seems I have to edit the skeletonfemale.nif. If i do so, the height for the elins readjust properly. On the other hand, if you change the skeleton.nif, you get a midget male nord with an elin head (Disturbing). Thanks for the help!

@Sjb411 wow.. least you know no one will fuck with her lol.

@PsychoMachina I might be thinking of making you're own race you have to flag them in the CK in order for them to even use the vamp stuff, I am not much of a modder yet lol working on it though :P, I had a thought you should write tutorials you're very smart about this stuff :D.

I tend to forget to mention that the SKELETON.nif is the male skeleton and SKELETON_FEMALE.nif is female.

@sjb411

That Elin looks like the old Elin "male" in character creation, Elin head on a male Nord body.

@Mistle

I don't know enough to make a tutorial.  Anyway, I couldn't teach a bow-legged man to cross his legs.  :P

well if i am not wrong, there less then 10 quests to fix (for player + werewolf form only :) )

i already maked "patch" for db09 and test it, its works, so way is pretty known, but pretty boring

i try to make it and show later

PS. its will much easier to add new records by tes5edit scripts, but not all records/record fields is known for tes5edit, so imho its dangerous

If you can successfully accomplish this, does it mean RC will no longer be needed?

well full support is obliviously need alot of work

my first goal - is full support of player's character custom race + werewolf form for it (if required)

2nd stage - support for NPC of custom race, except vampires.

3rd - maybe vampires support. But i dont like them anyway, so dont know when i even start it.

anyway need to complete at least 1st stage before talking about anything. But when its finished, i plan to make tes5script to easy patching for any race. Probably also cmd file for voices. As far i understand their names generated from some base64 function of race name.

Voice is still questionable.  As far i understand fuz files contain voice and lip moving parts and they can be splited and combined again after editing of voice part.

thinked about vocaloid once lol. but they are bad for english anyway.

there no male elins, its just bugged one when you selecting male in racemenu or malebody in armor

so then there really is no male elin....;w;....i want a male elin....with girly armor to wear.....i want a real trap already! ;w;

Elins from TERA is female only.

100% traps safe!

yes i know that Elins are from Tera Online and that they are female only....i play Tera online myself....doesn't mean someone can't create what they consider to be the MALE equivalent to the elins......i've been looking for a crossdressing race for the longest time now.....and elins have the perfect figure for a trap.

uhm why not? you homophobic or some crap? cuz honestly i don't think this community would appreciate someone being like that.....considering what mods are supported here no one is in the right to judge someone elses taste.

Deal with it!

Do elin vampire have glowing red eye effect? I've just became one and don't notice any difference in her eyes.

Elin compatible with vampires? Did you read instruction? Yes? No? Elin have really big eyes you know..

Calm down Silvernirvash, Uguu just prefers his Elins as they were originally intended to be or he was just making a joke.  Now everyone, it's group hug time. :D

@Grbone

I have the vamp eyes for the Elins, but just letting you know, there have been mixed results, some people say the glow is misaligned while others say it looks fine.

By the way, I feel I should mention, for anyone wondering in the future, that the smaller, 0.8-sized Elin skeletons available in the pack can cause misalignment when triggering certain animations, like say, an Estrus animation, which spawns additional objects that interact with the character. Therefore, if you intend to try to use special animation spells with the Elin it's probably best to use the normal size and just manually scale them down with the console to your liking. It doesn't work in reverse, scaling them up doesn't fix the misalignment.

Heh, yeah, that's an option, but I think that's a little out of my league, or that of any other common user.

So can I ask what's the game plan for making TBBP Elins? Are you attempting to create an entirely new TBBP-supported body molded similarly to the Elin shape, or adjusting the existing body options to become TBBP-compatible?

The Venus body.  There are 3 base bodies (Nymph, aka. Elin, Curvaceous, and Voluptuous) with only the last two having the BBP and TBBP options.

I'll have to try out VB with the current Elins, but since it's the body mesh that is shaping the hips and thighs and not the skeleton, I'll have to do some testing.

a JOKE would be something someone would laugh at and get from the start as a joke...i didn't see much of a joke.and while yes i do understand playing a race as it was intended i also feel that there should be something for everyone out there in the modding community and i myself like elins as they are but wish that someone would make a PROPER crossdressing character.

I stepped in to prevent things from getting out of control and no, I'm not taking sides.  I don't want people at each other's throats, that's all.

I have an option to make a femboy body, but it's UNP.  I have not checked to see if I can add the parts to a CBBE body, yet.

hmmm...heres the question though....when creating a character does it register the player as a MALE? or a FEMALE? because a FEMBOY is a feminine boy....a hard core crossdresser that is...transexual if you will one who lives as the opposite of their own gender.

so while i want to look like a female i want my gender to be registered as MALE

My god... I think I've done it. I think I've Frankensteined together a TBBP compatible Elin skeleton that can use any TBBP-able body and still keep the Elin shape, by reproducing all the changes in the Elin skeleton onto XP32's maximum skeleton in Nifskope. Gonna have to test this out a bit.

My game doesn't burst into flames immediately upon loading, and the animations appear to work, which are good signs so far...

I've got http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k2HdIH8ZzOiAUg4636R as a quick test, but perhaps I need to create a Bodyslide body if I want bigger jugs on the Elin, increasing their scale causes some oddity with the motions.
