AwfulArchdemon Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013   Hi, I'm using the skeleton fix from...somewhere in this thread, however it seems that it doesn't come with hearthfire support. I tried using the old xvisionchildren.esp, but then the hearthfire kids are freakishly tall.  Is there a version with the new skeleton for hearthfire children that I missed? Huge kid fix  That makes the kids the proper size, but they look like stock hearthfire ones, not like the COTS children.  I tried adjusting the child races heights in the COTS R2 xvisionchildren.esp, and that works...sort of. Some of the children have invisible hands and their faces don't animate when they talk, though.  It depends on what order you load them in. If you load the CotS.esp then the XVC.esp, you'll have XVC-style kids. The other way around makes XVC "almost" obsolete, so don't use XVC if you don't want the kids to look...like XVC kids.  (IMO) I think it's more realistic with XVC kids. CotS kids look too...Final FantasyTM

CotS kids look too...Final FantasyTM   I don't want xvisionchildren, I'm only using the xvisionchildren.esp from COTS to make the hearthfire adoptable street kids look like the COTS children.  only COTS , no xvisionchildren.esp: stock street kids   COTS + new skeleton + xvisionchildren.esp with skeleton fix: XVC kids (load order doesn't seem to change anything)   COTS + COTS hearthfire xvisionchildren.esp + my own height fix: COTS kids, but no hands, face not animated (again, load order does not change anything)   It has to be possible to get this to work properly?  If I just use a recent XVC mod, the kids look almost ok..except their head is a different, darker skin color than their body.
AwfulArchdemon Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 That's because of Apachii Hair. Use this fix. If you put XVC last in your load order, you should have no more issues with the mouths not moving. That series of pictures looks nothing like the kids I see when using XVC. There's a reason I always use it, and that reason is because they look like kids, not mutants. Are you using the version of XVC I uploaded?
uguu123 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013   you need to use cots xvision with heartfire support its in "option - hearthfire addon" folder  Â
yourmom41 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 you need to use cots xvision with heartfire support its in "option - hearthfire addon" folder   I know... but that makes the kids huge because of the new skeleton though. And my own .esp that appropriately changes the child races' heights breaks the face and hands on some kids.

I tried the color mismatch fix and XVC, but it does nothing. Regardless, I don't really want XVC anyway...
yourmom41 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Alright, nevermind. Turns out I have to mark the xvisionchildren.esp as active if I want to edit it, then I can save changes to that same esp without having to create another one. Â Redid the height changes for the child races, and now it works fine with the hearthfire kids.
RadQueenNukette Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Hi! I was curious to know if any of the armor replacers for the different body types listed on Nexus (UNP/CBBE etc) worked on or with the CotS included tex/mesh? Thanks for your time! =3
Azzariel Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Hi  I'know that it's probably answered but when I'm playing at the third person with this mod the camera is too high...  How can I fix that ?  Thank you^^

I was curious to know if any of the armor replacers for the different body types listed on Nexus (UNP/CBBE etc) worked on or with the CotS included tex/mesh? Thanks for your time! =3 Â CotS uses a modified UNP body, so yes, all UNP armors/replacers will work on them just fine. I think (it's been awhile so might be wrong) that there is a CBBE version of CotS as well in the options folder, so if you use the CBBE version of CotS, all CBBE armors/replacers will be compatible with that as well. Â But the default is UNP. So any UNP stuff will work just fine (of course you'll have a UNP body, not the CotS body if you wear UNP armor).

spicyjesus Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I notice the models are purposely made super small and that is why we need to use the camera offset fix esp.. that we need to constantly make go back and forth between chars. Why not have a version of the body (for the player only, to avoid comflicts with all child npcs) that is adult sized and post this as a requirementhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29624/? Â No more esp swapping, since you would just resize the height via a slider.Opinions??
Cloverhand Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Hello. Is it possible to make pale skin? :c in my character editor i can't make it look more pale, it is just variations of tan skin :c
thasimp Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I have a question, when I view the male child player in 3rd person, they have a wierd stance when not holding any two handed weapon. Â Is there anyway to fix this or is this intentional?
whackjob Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I would shove a bus full of nuns off a cliff if you'd make a version that had khajiit children. Â Some of us like CLAWS, dammit!

keegan101 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I have some problems with hair and this mod... Using showracemenu works fine and all the hair I use (Apaachi sky, sg pack, etc.) work with the character no problem, but if I use the ck to make  to make a new npc of sky children race, the hairs don't fit properly... Like they float slightly above the npcs head and their forehead goes a dark pink and weird vertical lines appear on the top of their head... So now all my custom npcs had pink foreheads to go with their epic hair.... Any ideas?Â
Lizzy Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Due to someone on the Nexus who had an xvision children overhaul mod, but completely refused to help me with -just Babette- on the grounds that I -might- have the "disgusting" mod named "Children of the Sky" (her words, not mine).. Well I decided to come here and download this mod in spite. It's pretty decent. The children don't look ridiculous, and it looks far better. I don't know what that other modder's problem is. It's not like I run around stripping NPCs.I need help though. Babette looks terribad from this mod. She just looks ..off. I'm hoping someone can help me create a Babette COTS replacer? Something that makes Babette look cute? I already have a mod in mind that would let me adopt her, and an open slot left from the "six adoptions" mod for Hearthfires. But my problem is, editing Babette in the Creation Kit and applying the "neon green lips plus interpolation value to max" doesn't fix her color mismatch like it does with adults. After I edit Babette and create an .esp, her face is horribly tan and her neck below (plus hands) is very pale. Really bad color mismatching. I'm making sure to check the "Y Children of the Sky.esp", xvision.esp, skyrim.esm racecompatibility.esm and dawnguard.esm but I'm not sure if I should also check the HiResTexturePack DLCs?Anyway, my problem is severe color mismatching. I'm using the Dimonized UNP body as default for all NPCs. Anyone want to help?
WaxenFigure Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Open Babette in the CK and press Ctrl-F4, that will create a .NIF file in ~\Data\meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\YOURMODNAMEHERE.esp which should fix the discolored face problem. Â Â
keegan101 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Do you have to do anything after pressing Ctrl+F4? People say it a lot but if it creates a .NIF file do I have to put it somewhere after?

umbratotalus Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Have I missed anything from Jitek? Or are they still MIA?
AwfulArchdemon Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Have I missed anything from Jitek? Or are they still MIA? He vanished. No idea why, or when (if) he'll be back.
