yeah so for some reason all my children now appear to be weird half human half lizard kids. Their heads are fine but everything from the neck down looks like a custom Argonian texture and mesh including revers articulated claw feet. I don't know what I did wrong in the installation (if that is even the problem). I installed it using the NMM installer and had the issue and then I went back through the zip file and installed the meshes and textures manually. Oddly I can't find the mesh that the game is using for the children, the one in the zip file is clearly human.

Wtf? I suggest reinstalling the hell outta CotS. Some crazy s*** you got goin' on there...

I suggest using MO. I have CotS packaged into files MO recognizes fully well so...better than NMM, I say.

Yeah so a few of the girls got partially fixed after messin with the load order but the ones that got fixed now have bodies that are of a different tone then their heads! But I also still have a few gals running around looking like the missing link.

!??? Uninstall! Make sure nothing like this is happening in your "grown-up" game! lol Wtf!? I damn sure never saw THAT happen before!!

Edit: HaHaHa!! WTF!?

yeah I'm not sure it is entirely a fluke, the textures are well done as is the mesh and the blending at the neck seam is pretty good. I feel like this was intentional but to be used elsewhere and not here.

Not sure if its been asked before, but Is this mod compatible with the Lovergirl race mod? I get asked to replace Racial Compatibility.esm as well as several meshes (I just want to use the mod for the children, I still wanna use the lovergirl race). I also have dawnguard, so I'm a little concerned that replacing that racial compatibility file will screw up my game (and I already had to restart 2 times already, don't plan for a 3rd).

Did you make sure it's not happening in your 'grown-up' game? You don't want a problem like that to continue anywhere ever! That's definitely a brand-new problem!

I'd never recommend using anther race mod with this one. We're lucky this version still operates properly without an update in months and months. :P (get back here jiitek!)

@Jiitek Stopping by to say I love the mod. Really well done, especially dig music that comes with it, pretty sure they are pulled from other games. Wish there was a JRPG mod now because of them. Anyway keep up the great work. But before I go, what is that white katana from? I really want it in my game.

@Demonwise, not sure I would want that argonian/human glitch to go away, that's awesome. Uninstalling and reinstalling should fix it though. I had texture and body issues and that fixed it for me. Mine weren't as bad as that though.

If I remember correctly the trapdoor only exists if you use the Loli Armor Pack. I think you should be able to create the armor from the op (most of it at least) at every forge/tanning rack.

You could also look at the "island" in Riverwood where the sawmill is at, I recall some urns having some of the armor parts. If the two options before don't work out you have to use the console, "help x117" should show most of the armors.

oh ok ty

It's a trapdoor right inside Faendal's garden.

Really hate to be "That one post" but any word on Author jiitek's time table on the new R3?

Or are we still in the dark, I love this mod, I'm so excited about a new release, it's almost as exciting as GTA-V =^_^=

Hello, I play with a COTS version and I have a problem with the armor of fur.

The head and the body has a large enough space when I put a fur armor.

maybe someone has a solution?

Hi, I'm using the skeleton fix from...somewhere in this thread, however it seems that it doesn't come with hearthfire support.

I tried using the old xvisionchildren.esp, but then the hearthfire kids are freakishly tall.

Is there a version with the new skeleton for hearthfire children that I missed?

Is anyone else having a problem where the npc children get turned into redguards? Like every last one of them.

Have you looked at their hands? You sure you don't just have the dark face bug? That may be the case. If so, it's because of Apachii Hair. There's a fix for that. post-111270-0-70747100-1377211734_thumb.jpg

Has anyone had an issue with female CotS characters using adult female skins?

I use Navetsea's skins for UNP females (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6554/?), and for some reason they're showing up on CotS females (the males seem to have their own skins). What's really odd is that the face textures look like they're supposed to look (they're definitely not the adult face textures), and there's no noticeable neck seam or discoloration problems. Everything looks fine, except that these kids are oddly well-muscled, and have details that look silly on them.

I've tried both sets of skins in Children_of_the_Sky_-R2.7z, and they don't seem to change anything.

That...doesn't seem so strange. They're textures that you added. A CotS female is just a scaled down version of an adult body, with some textures and meshes added. If you add textures to the game that affect everyone, they would affect you too. The face was the major overhaul this mod created, so it doesn't surprise me that the face "looked like it's supposed to look".

Are you using MO? You might just have to put the skin textures before the CotS body in your load order. CotS may overwrite them for your PC that way, but I've never used that mod, or any highly noticeable skin textures when using CotS, so I don't know for sure that a simple change in load order will change it. Might have to edit the mod.

Thanks, that fixed it. I didn't realize it, but what I thought was a simple texture replacer was a lot fancier. Turns out that it was designed to change the texture depending on the weight slider to add more muscle details. It's a really cool mod, but it was messing with everything else. Turned off the .esp and everything is as it should be.

That makes the kids the proper size, but they look like stock hearthfire ones, not like the COTS children.

I tried adjusting the child races heights in the COTS R2 xvisionchildren.esp, and that works...sort of. Some of the children have invisible hands and their faces don't animate when they talk, though.
