Post your load order, please. No guarantees that we'll see a problem, but at least there's a chance.

 

I had one game where something - I still don't know what - made instigating a rape make every NPC attack the rapist, including bandits and the like. You can probably guess how well Sibling Rivalry worked out; the devastation was almost complete.

So I have a question. Occasionally, when unlocking chests and opening "Containers" in general, I sometimes end up bound, with a message "Magic tendrils reach out and mind you" Is that a function of this mod? If it's not, then I need to re-look at another mod I got a while ago that wasn't working properly. It's nto causing any issues, but it was entertaining, one second I have my hand in Countess' Jewelry box, next secon, my little Miquote is laying on the grond, leashed to her bed xD

Yes, it's part of this mod. You may be able to free yourself before somebody arrives. :lol:

Was curious, because there's a mod that adapts Estrus to do the same thing, and I was confused that even though the Estrus version doesn't work, it might be activating on my PSE xD

 

Sadly, I would like to report to everyone to save *OFTEN* when using Midas Magic, as the Midas Chest spell can cause your game to crash upon casting said spell. Other than that, no real conflicts, and I'm pretty much decking out a lot of mass-overhaul mods.

Hmm, have been using Midas Magic for years, and just about all the PSE versions, and I have never seen a problem with the MM chest spell or the combo. Think that's your game and what you have installed, sorry.

Yuppers.  I have a problem with crashing at doors.  Any time I change cells, I almost always save first.  Just in case.  Especially true for external/internal and vice-versa cell changes.  Doesn't seem to happen as often internal/internal, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.  Ah well, dems da breaks of having a zillion and one mods.

Make sure you've turned off autosave at area transition, or whatever the option is called. It's known to bug out and cause CTDs even with an unmodified game.

wow learn something new everyday, area transition is only place I tend to crash, I just chalked it up to running way to many mods ehehe, I'm turnin' that sucker off right away! Thx for the tip!

I'm playing this with LoversHooker and I thought PSE would kick in if a client decided to rape my char, but it didn't. So I'm wondering whether it's on PSE's side, or if the "rape" variable in Hooker isn't actually considered a rape by the game

Every rape is counted, but for PSE to trigger you recently had to be in combat with something.  Basically when something enters combat with the player, PSE flags them as a potential owner for 30 seconds. If one of the checked triggers (like rape, < 10% hp, etc) happens during those 30 seconds, PSE rolls the enslavement chance and activates.

The crucial point here is the 'in combat' part. Lovers Hooker (and Lovers Immoral Guards) rapes are not 'in combat' and contain no code that will trigger PSE, so you aren't going to be enslaved as a consequence.

 

RaperS is a very different matter, and sometimes triggers PSE when it really shouldn't. it is still very possible to be enslaved by the corpse you're necro-raping. I spent a while varying the parameters in LoversLoveJuice - where corpses are an excellent source of, erm, material - to see what they did, and had to turn off PSE as it became too annoying. This was with RaperS 1.7 and the latest PSE.

 

To make things worse, PSE does notice your master is dead after a couple of minutes, and says you can open the chest with the key - but, of course, there is no key. Fortunately, I don't allow PSE to take my gear away.

 

Edited my version of PSE so dead things really are no longer potential masters, but doubt I'm the only one to have seen this.

RaperS is a very different matter, and sometimes triggers PSE when it really shouldn't. it is still very possible to be enslaved by the corpse you're necro-raping.

 

You might want to turn off some of the PSE enslavement triggers, especially Unconscious.  During sex you are flagged as unconscious so vulnerable to enslavement even if you are the rapist.

No kidding?  News to me.  It's called "Save on Travel", which I just turned off.  I also turned off "Save on Wait".  Kudos to you sir!  We shall see if indeed it solves the problem.  Watch this space.  :lol:

 

 

GRRRRRR....  No joy.  I purposely did not save through a cave and a half... then it crashed - hence, the half.  Sigh.  Oh well, back to "Save early and often".  It's a good idea anyway, I suppose.  Thanks for the info, it was good advice.

For roleplaying purposes you should consider your character dead at that point, and proceed to load an earlier save or start a new character. And unless you have some mod or cheat to help, it's not like you have any other ways out.

 

What script and what line should I edit to get the main character killed? I want main player character to die on gallows instead of hanging forever.

It would be a lot easier if you just use the kill console command

I haven't tested this at all, but here's where I would start if I were to try making that change:

 

Script: IchRoughJustice line 732:

If TimerToggle == 1 && Player.GetAV Health >= 2

Change ">= 2" to ">= 1" so that the following line will end up setting your health to 0, which (if I recall correctly) will kill you.

Whether the game can handle you dying in the gallows, especially with the rest of this script trying to run as normal (you may have to break the rest of the execution of that if statement), that I cannot tell without testing it.

 

That does it for Rough Justice. There's a hanging game in Waterfront Whore too, for which I'd modify the following script:

 

IchWaterfrontWhore line 196 (change "> 2" to "> 1", this game subtracts 2 every time it runs to kill you twice as fast)

IchWaterfrontWhore line 907 (change ">= 3" to ">= 2")

 
The first entry is for the spoon game, the second is for if the madam ever loses patience with you and decides you're too stupid/stubborn to live.
 
Since the code has never been run with the character actually dying, you're in uncharted territory. It might simply work, you might CTD, who knows. I do wish you the best of luck with it, I can easily understand your desire for this.

I haven't read this entire thread, so I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but the PSE texture archive includes files to overwrite the Imperial male body texture you use.  I don't think it's appropriate for a mod that isn't about body texture replacers to overwrite the Imperial male body texture I specifically chose when installing Robert's Male Bodies v5.2.  There's not even a warning on the main page.

 

Additionally, the Imperial male texture in PSE appears to be incompatible with all of the circumcized variations in Setbody Reloaded 1.20.  It took me several hours to figure out that PSE of all things was causing the problem.  I can't fathom why these textures are even included in the mod.  This is not something you'd normally look for either.

 

For anyone using PSE and wondering why every naked male Imperial now looks different - it's because the texture archive includes a different body texture for Imperial males.

Hey Guys, I kept on getting Error code 2 using TESedit4, stating a specific file cannot be read. While I downloaded everything properly and also installed all the correct meshes and textures and only used the 0.69 esp. including hackdirt alive. Thanks

Bug report:

 

Bug exist between combination of Mysterious Bear Epic Necromancy's Necromancy Robe feature & Player Slave Encounters' Slaver Mode. 

 

In Mysterious Bear Epic Necromancy if you wear Necromancer robe other Necromancer do not attack you. This feature gets broken if you set slavery mode on. Setting slavery mode on removes Necromancy Robe's guild faction, actually two factions: 0004B90C & 0000C0F2. If you turn off slavery mode you can enjoy the benefits of the Necromancy Robe. If you put on the robe game will add player to Necromancer factions.

 

I tested this dozen times. 

 

@down - Don't criticize me for reporting incompatibility.

That's an incompatibility between 2 mods, not a bug. Each mod is doing what they have to do. From what you say, it appears to work pretty well; turn off slave mode, put the robe on, and you're a necromancer. If you turn slave mode on, you should take the robe off; necromancers aren't slaves.

 

If we spent time looking for non-game-breaking incompatibilities between Oblivion mods, we'd need a new server to log them all.

No matter what I try, I can't activate minigame. The player is enslaved, minigame option is on, I get a lockpick, but pressing 'L' does nothing. No message, nor anything. I don't have any lockpick or hotkey mods. Other mods that use some custom hotkeys work well. I would try to debug if someone explain to me how.
