The couple of times I was able to get my stuff back, was within 3 days, (default respawn time), of my character's capture. Later than that, and I've only found a empty bag, or no bag at all. I believe this also holds true for the belongings stolen by the perverted burglar, as I've never found any loot stolen by him.

Your theory makes perfect sense, but does not match my experiences. The respawn time won't have any effect on the sack, because your items aren't actually placed into the sack. The sack is actually a 'wormhole' to the real container, which is stored away in a separate cell that you will never visit and so will never trigger any respawn timer (which doesn't kick in for a cell until you actually visit it). The problem is rather more insidious than simply being a respawn timer issue. My characters have been enslaved as a result of encountering Shifty Bert, which results in servitude for four days, and I've not had any problems with retrieving my character's stuff from the sack. The only time I have had problems with my character's stuff disappearing was before Ichabod applied the standard 'remote container bug' fix a few versions ago. Question: Do either of you use Streamline or anything else that purges things on a regular basis? I've just had a thought, and I wonder if that might be the cause.

I could understand it if they were just thrown on the ground ... although that would be safer, come to think of it. I haven't tested the sack on 0.67, just routinely disabled the inventory transfer; I'll try it out in the original form again when I have a little time. My bigger problem at the moment is why does my game crash when the perverted burglar has finished? I've reinstalled all the odds and ends in the OP at least twice. Duchess_Gummybuns Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I've never had the disappearing item glitch, but I do know that when enslaved my character just DROPS duskfang instead of putting it in the bag. Seeing as this is a complex problem that could have numerous causes with on effect, I think leaving the inventory disabled but intact is a good alternative to so much stress & headache.

You can't drop 'it', you have to drop all of its incarnations. I'm sure Ichabod struggled mightily with it for a while, before giving it up as a bad job. Despite all the OBSE team's work, doing complex things with inventory is still quite hit and miss in Oblivion; the game just wasn't set up with it in mind, so everything is just workarounds for its limitations.

It might be that Streamline is running a purge of cells no longer held in memory. With the container being in a remote location that only gets brought into memory in order to move your items into the container, it may be that Streamline is purging the location, and the contents of the container, shortly afterwards.

Dear subject, I didn't mean to sound like that Duskfang was an issue. It just really scared me to see my precious lying in the middle of town! X) What with all the talk of disappearing items & cell resets & myself being bound to a traveling NPC, what is a poor Gollum to do? I merely spoke in favor of the intact inventory. Excuse me if this is beating a dead horse, but wouldn't enchanting the Slave Collar (or something acute to) with ungodly feather solve the problem of the finicky code & over laden slaves? Though I must be wrong. Coding is math, and if it feels so simple you must be doing it wrong, eh?

I will have to test it a little if I'm giving it to someone else (my characters have to take their chances). It only removes lockpicks from the player; anything else is just unequipped, not taken/dropped. As I said before, you can't use the stuff while enslaved. This does make it possible to cheat, of course, but hey, if the fancy takes you, you can just target Pelham and Co and type 'kill' in the console anyway. Oh, gold stealing is still allowed, of course. Duchess, I think the feather suggestion is a really good way of assuaging worries about over-encumbrance, so I've added a 500 point feather to the collar(s). Not as if anyone is going to wear the thing voluntarily. Edit: appended modified ESP. I'm not really comfortable with posting it here, but I don't have an account on any file sharing sites, so this is the easiest way of doing it for me. If this makes it too prominent, abject apologies, and I'll remove it (or the mods will). This is v 0.67, and requires you to have done the full install before replacing the esp with this one. You will get away with treating the guard to some fun with a low fine. After that it is use by the law abiding citizens, whipping, indentured servitude and if you are a real menace to society then it is a dance on the gibbet. I hope to expand this as time goes on. Fines updated to a more serious level. What exactly happens during this questline and when does it end? My character is now two in-game days the slave of a citizen but expect from the usual PSE stuff nothing happens, expect that escape is impossible.

I was thinking though that you should get escape chances. Check the console after about twice the time you set in the pse spell to see if you have any info on escape chance etc. After your time is up you will get a message prompting you to go back to where the bag of your stuff dropped to recover it. Gaebrial Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 @Someone92: I believe the enslavement lasts for 1 day per 4000 gold bounty. So if you've been enslaved as a result of Shifty Bert's bounty (10k), then you will remain enslaved for three days (and will be released at midnight after the third day).

He threatens me, I tell him off, and that's the end of things. I gather he's supposed to raise your bounty, but I've yet to see that happen.

There's a base 50% chance of him giving you a 10k bounty the next day, but this is reduced by your fame and increase by your infamy. So if you have a high fame, the guards are unlikely to believe him.

spartan40 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Hello, I'm having trouble getting the Shadow over hackdirt to start. I've already rescued Dar-Ma, and yes I know that for the sake of the mod thats fine. I'm just not getting the update to go and talk to her; nor am I getting the conversation topic about Hackdirt or the old ones. Randolph is doing what he's supposed to be doing but his only conversation topic is "rumors". Also I have tried the console commands that should start the quest that I have found in the thread but they aren't working. Any aid would be welcomed. Still loving the mod BTW. Thanks!

Due to the complexity of the scripting, I'm guessing the quest targets don't always fire on all cylinders. I had to do the same thing with "Secriss" when part 3 of Shadow over Hackdirt went a bit wonky. Randolph stood there smiling, without a thing to say, despite the quest log telling me that he'd had more than enough time to have things translated. Shadow over Hackdirt is easily the best of the bunch, in my opinion. I can't wait to see the conclusion, Ichabod.

greenquesadilla Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 One more thing, the mod doesn't seem compatible with "Real Time Lockpicking Minigames". When I press "L" when enslaved and with a lockpick in my inventory, the minigame doesn't start.

Someone92: You should definitely have the option to escape while on Indentured Servitude even if you have to wish to.
