It's only 33% off (with Access discount), where the 2 Stuff Packs I do not have is both 55% off with Access discount. <growls> I SO wish I had the funds to get those two. (Tiny Living & Kids Room) In the past I do not know how many months I have manage to go from the Digital Deluxe & Outdoor Retreat to everything but the 3 listed earlier. Eat less burgers? $9 for two stuff packs is not too bad so I bought both. But one may also play without them. I hoped the bed would kill more Sims but as long as it is left open after sleeping it's a little bit annoying. Even $4.5 for knitting seems to be too much. Not sure who wants to pay $10 for it. Anyhow with the 'Metal music station' and air guitar many will probably buy it because of these two exciting features.

Guest Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Eco-Living was the first Sims 4 pack I didn't buy...Nifty Knitting will be the second. This has been a terrible year for Sims 4, I hold out little hope for the game pack that's yet to come. EA are 'nickel and diming' us at this point and I refuse to bite.

I too have not brought ECO, though I might eventually if they fix all of the headaches instead of leaving it to the modders. There is a lot in it that I want. I have not yet decided about Nifty Knitting yet. I like and want some of the features that are suppose top be in it but I am going to wait until after it comes out and we get some honest user reviews on it.

I *very* seriously doubt enough people "chose" this to warrant it being chosen as a game pack that's just taking up space in an already limited yearly roster. I haven't bought it and I'm not going to because guess what? I'm not interested in Knitting and that's exactly what this feels like. If you like knitting, you might like this pack, but if you don't have an interest in knitting? then what's the point of this? That and locking the *only* new outfits, (which in typical EA fashion pun intended are ugly as hell) in CAS, behind an action within the game? well I guess EA's pesky micro-transaction problem is itching something fierce because this just like a micro-transaction without the actual transaction. Idk, I'm just saying out of everything we've been begging and begging for for years, EA's not even trying to hide the fact that they couldn't give any less of a damn at this point.

DarkAudit Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 The knitting is okay, but don't forget about the METAL. Simlish throat singing. Can't get more epic than that. (Really, The Hu have a track on the new station. No one I've asked has said if it's the original or simlish.)
Vengeance_11 Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 I voted for arts and crafts, but I think the focus became knitting because the concept art for it proved to be the least ugliest out of the ones Maxis provided. Still, it's up there with My First Pet for most useless DLC content for the game.
Oops19 Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 My 1st pet has at least various pets running around which may even kill a sim. That's a good reason to like this pack. Knitting is more about relaxing. When my sims are getting too old for woohoo they'll knit everyone / -thing.
Dynchia Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 The only things I really like thats in Kniffy is the Rocking Chairs and Plopsy. Not enough though to buy it at full price, even with my Access discount. I'll wait till it's put on sale for like 50% then consider it. Still, thats better then ECO. Has much has I want it, I'm not touching it till I am sure they fixed the bloody broken stuff in it. Specificly, the NAP's. Which reminds me, I need to check in and read the notes for the last 2 patches and see if they have fixed any of it.

Elsalovescocaine Posted July 29, 2020 Author Posted July 29, 2020 Nothing changes still being so poor.
simhead666 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 So, I bought it. Haven't actually noticed it's existence in game, other than my sims now having the option to 'Request Air Guitar Knowledge' (knitting just not being a big thing for a coven of sadistic lesbian vampires). Just burning the money would have been slightly quicker.
Guest Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I just watched LGR's review of 'Nifty Knitting' on YouTube and it got rightfully roasted! You can actually just buy everything off of 'Plopsy' and your sim can have everything in the pack without having to learn the knitting skill. Pointless!

If they added at least 4 more options like car reparations, fabric of custom candies, buy your own factory, or office, create and empire and more hobbies like tennis or cars this pack would ve been epic. But unfortunately EA sims offices are filled with sad hipsters. They had destroyed whole series.

A while back I open Origin to discovered they had added two games to my library. I do not own a single "Sports Game" yet there they were, 2 sports games. One was an NFL game and when I right clicked on it, it allowed me to remove it from my library. The other is a 10 trail for FIFA20 and the only choice I have is "INSTALL". I have actually attempted to contact CS about this and get it removed and their reponse is silence. At the moment I have it flagged hiddne but it brothers me that it's there. I had to remove 2 Access Vault games from my library because the4y keep trying to run "On Their Own". That right, they, without any input from me would attempt to launch and run. I do not know how many times either a Sims 4 game, or a PvZ2 game or even a video was interupted because one of them would suddnly try to run. What was worse, I close, shut down, or even kill them with task manager and they would just try again, and again, and again. I send upwards of 5 minutes, closing and killing them over and over before they would finally stop trying to run ..... for awhile. Then they would start back up. CS reponse back on multi reports of this from me??? silence. In the end I finally had enough and just removed them from my game.

They took all the left over garbage that didn't make it into Cats & Dogs and called it a Stuff Pack. - Hamsters that your kids can't even play with. - Hair that didn't fit the motif of the Cats & Dogs EP. - Crappy kids furniture (crappier than the regular stuff). - Clothing with cats and dogs (in a pack about hamsters), that wasn't good enough to make the cut. - Clothing for cats and dogs (even though you might not own that EP), that missed the deadline. Nifty Knitting may be more stupid, but it's doubtful it will be worse. Doubtful, but not impossible. EDIT: Stupid; "Did somebody mention a new Metal music station? We did! Sims listening to Metal feel Energized and gain bonuses to Knitting while they listen—so don’t be alarmed if you see your Sim jamming on an air guitar." I can't tell you how often I've listened to Metal, and felt so energized, I had the urge to knit. Knitting to Slipknot!!!

I really need to pull out my mod archives for it and set it back up. I had so much fun with it. I had all EP's and SP's and a good amount of the store. Lot's of mod's and CC. I played it on a Windoze 7 64bit system with 7GB's of system RAM and 1GB of video and had little trouble with it. Even though it was only a 32bit program, playing it on that 64bit system really made a difference because it could actually get a full 4GB's to it's self which it couldn't on a 32bit machine with 4GB due to system overhead.

What about real diving boards and water slides for swimming pools that my sims loved to use. We got a diving platform instead and sims spend all their time cleaning up puddles instead. I could go on and on but... This is EA telling everyone to 'fuck off about sims 3 content.
