Emily Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Emily hate to stay that she actually stopped on fallout, oblivion and skyrim on this season. REASON: Lots of changes in this year including her gaming agenda. Tera online, Heart of the swarm, TES:Online and Queens Blade.US is what on her menu at the moment and Blade & Soul NCsoft should it comes out and support Free 2 play. TES:online however .. are supposedly mod-able for client visual cosmetic. Limited to nude mods and skimpy armors. [video=youtube] [video=youtube] Most importantly emily seen a lot of prospect in them, battlefields, faction wars all over tamriels that we wouldn't normally have on skyrim. (Which probably turn Skyrims like the offline version of them.). At least, Emily can play together with everyone here. Kill mudcrab and ride the dova like in Tera online's pegasus platforms. Some SS from emily current games.

Haven't played Oblivion in a few years, but chances are I'll start playing it again soon, what with all the nice new mods around, adult and vanilla.

Some SS from emily current games. Nice screens. I still play Oblivion but tbh for years I insulted the game because I thought of it as the game that you spend 3 hours to make a character and that you can hardly see. Then I like finally ran into the DMRA body then I was officially sold and realized you can stare at your characters butt! <-- Major Selling point
Guest Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yep, and I'll continue to do so until nobody makes adult mods for the game anymore, similar to with Morrowind. I might actually pick up modding for lovers with pk in the future, when, I don't know.
Contessa Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yep. I haven't even touched Skyrim yet. With games such as those I usually wait for the compilations and for the mods to get a foothold. Looking on Nexus for example Skyrim mods are a cluster... ehh... you get it. I just wait until the dust settles and then swoop in!
chivaleroncross Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I havent touch Skyrim in months, hell even almost a year! I played OBLIVION all times. Dont know bout it though, preferably I'm doin SS works or Comic works.
Teechan Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Play? Not so much unless it's to play quest mods like CLS when I have time. I have it setup now as a film making/modding playground. I did pop in the 360 version about a month ago (which was my first experience playing the game) and I got hit with nostalgia. No mods, no TGM or TMG or FW or UNLOCK or any console commands....just the game. I forgot what it was like to use the controller, on the couch, playing the game, instead of WASD and mouse, at a computer desk.
Astaroth-Lite Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I played Oblivion just last night, in fact. I've been on a bit of a kick as of late.
Sir Artsy Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I'm not interested in TESO.. Well if it has fluid action combat then yes.. But i don't want half assed, half action-half turn based crap. TERA does this pretty good but in other areas that game is not that good. I haven't played oblivion in years. It's just my graphical playground and photo tool
HanPL Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Still have it on PC but didn't play it since last year...
AgentChicken Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Occasionally i would re install a backup of Oblivion on steam and give it a couple of hours then go back to Skyrim. But Oblivion usually draws me back with Lovers with PK and all the sexy addons i have installed
Contessa Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Update: No, but not by choice, won't get into that anymore. I'm heavily into Guild Wars again. I found a cool group of people and am slowly learning my way through every update since I left in 2007. If any of you out there still play feel free to look me up, my character name is Contessa Lyneth. Also been back into Baldur's Gate 2/ToB and playing through the many romance mods I never finished. I miss Oblivion and FNV but I'm coping pretty well so far.
Valgo Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Never played Oblivion mutch and since Skyrim came out I never touched it again. Not because of the graphic, but the World in Oblivion was to empty for my taste and if every cave, every castle and every obliviondoor looks (alomost) the same...it makes not mutch fun in my opinion. PS: + the ugliest characterfaces of em all ^^
myuhinny Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I still play Oblivion off and on as well as Fallout NV both are fun to play and both have more adult mods for them then skyrim does. Skyrim has better graphics and some really good adult mods for it with more being created as we speak. Manly I'll play one if I'm bored with skyrim or if steam updates and screws everything up that needs skse so that you can't play without have pop up popping up ever 2 or so seconds saying you do have this you don't have this. So you have to wait for a new version of skse to some out.
RzXzB Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I still play Oblivion. I just bought another copy of Oblivon GOTY for fun off of Amazon for $1.54 with cheap prices like that I don't see why more people are not playing Oblivion now skyrim on the other hand the price for that game and all the DLC is way too high. I still bought it though but I still don't see why the GOTY edition of Oblivion didn't get all the Plug-ins you don't get Fighter's Stronghold,Horse Armor Pack,Mehrune's Razor,Orrery,Spell Tomes,Thieves Den,Vile Lair, or Wizards Tower. But you get Knights of The Nine I feel ripped off.
formel Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Stoped playing Oblivion when Skyrim was released. One Bethesda game at the time is enough. Played Oblivion since it's relase in 2006 (or was 2005?) and every now and again untill skyrim. Maybe I come back to it but at the moment I still enjoy skyrim more. When I read the op i remember I still have to get SCII: Heart of the Swarm^^
Nonsense667 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 On a new Oblivion kick again, or, well, I was. The itch is still there though, will probably start it up again soon. The thing is... it is true, what a lot of people complained about in Oblivion. It is a fairly "standard" or "generic" fantasy world. But I like that. So many different stories, and characters, I can form in my mind, and play out there. It fits to so many different themes I would like to play. Skyrim on the other hand, is very focused. This isn't bad either, but it can make for bad replaying/roleplaying, at least for me. There just aren't as many stories to tell. In oblivion, I went through the fighters guild many times. With many characters. Each one having their own reason to join, and getting something different from it. I have no interest in the companions in Skyrim. Exactly how many characters am I going to play, that have any interest in becoming a werewolf? Same for the thieves guild. In oblivion, you could look at it from any angle. Are you a more hard, darker thief? Then of course it works, but you could also be a more robin-hood type as well. In Skyrim, the thieves guild is like a freaking mafia organization. Not all of my ideas for thief characters would have an interest in working with such people. I admit, I have not tried the dark brotherhood, or completed the mages guild yet in Skyrim. I will say that the mages guild seems a bit more open to different characters though, which is nice. But yeah, overall, Oblivion just gets the roleplaying juices in my mind flowing more. But hey, I only played through Skyrim once, beating the main quest line. After that, I tried both a mage and thief character, but didn't get far. There is still a lot left for me to explore in the game. Maybe I will give it another go once the adult mods get more fleshed out for it. But for now, when I want to tell a story, I start up Oblivion.
Asariphile Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Was never much of a vanilla oblivion fan, with mods its fun, but without I find it unplayable.Flat landscapeLeveled Lists 5 dungeons copied and pasted across the landscape Persuasion Minigame Terrible voice work I still am dumbfounded when people claim vanilla oblivion is better than vanilla skyrim However, that being said modded its a blast. The combat system, and the quests were particularly better than Morrowind, and there are plenty of mods to fix the above issues. All in all I would absolutely NEVER play it on console, but Ive had a lot of good years of modded oblivion on PC. I suppose from an RP standpoint oblivion guilds are better, I consider myself an RP'r, but the basic gameplay foundations need to be in place for me to feel immersed and enjoy myself. I don't like fighting only wolves until this level, then all I see are bears, until suddenly the wilderness is ONLY populated by Minotaur Lords, as if the wildlife has just vanished. It also bothers me when I see bandits in freaking daedric armor... Just ruins the whole immersion.

If I remember correctly there is (or was) a mod floating around that fixed that last problem you mentioned. It might take a while to find since it was 2 years ago that I saw it. I technically don't play Oblivion any more since all I do is take screenshots, I will play through a certain questline if I can think of something funny to do with it but other then that I pretty much just boot up Oblivion to take screenshots (same applies to New Vegas)

Fair enough. I don't particularly care about that problem as I tend not to take notice of the poor mooks I smack when playing games.
kingkong Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 after several years without a computer and no time at all i would not play it again if there was not Loverlab site even if time is not streching i can find 2 or 3 hours a week to play what LL offer and skyrim can wait.
