mouton18 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Summary: I've had this bug on different build in the last year, with clean and dirty masters, with different load order, always occurs when I'm nearly done with my downloads. I did not find much online to something close to it. I'm not running FNIS on this build but it occured last year with FNIS, this time only nemesis and skipped creature animation. It's the only major bug left in my game, and it is easily skippable, I'm still using vanilla helgen tutorial with a lot of plugins so it's like I am asking for it. Actual problem: After naming the character in the Who are you scene, the camera goes in third person even though this part is hard scripted as first person, making the character model distorted as it goes to the chopping block and ruining even more the POV experience of the delayed Alduin landing on the tower. Once the WASD prompt appear while it's shaking I can get back to first person and all the rest of the game is free of that bug. It's really ugly but minor. So, really you have three choices: 1) Use Alternate Start - Live Another Life. 2) Start your game with few or no mods. After Unbound is complete save your game, load your mods and reload your game. Give your mods a minute or so to load and then play away. 3) Put up with it (I did for a while then I used both of the other options instead).
Not a prisoner Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 The intro at Helgen should be locked into first person. You shouldn't get third person until after your wrists have been untied in the keep. Some mod must be messing this up. I'd suggest leaving mods unloaded until after the keep.

This happened to me as well. And no mods were loaded when it did. I prefer to do vanilla until I can make a save, so that Vortex will detect the game. THEN I add my mods. I had the exact same thing happen. These days, I prefer to use the Live Another Life mod. Helgen got too long and tedious.
