Sorry, my bad  I just didn't look through Discord thoroughly.

But now I have an issue with AAF being stuck at 68% or 80%. When it's 80% it usually says that LooksMenu haven't initialized itself, and when it's 68% there's a hell load of debugging messages. But it's weird, since I have all the right LooksMenu installed and everything right on the list. I must have slipped up at some point. Sheesh, these modifications sure make me feel like some kind of software engineer sometimes, even though I didn't even do anything. It's just so complicated, so very confusing...

Yeah, I have this exact issue just the same. I suppose we have to give it up to the Enclave for at least a couple of following months. Or to take drastic measures and turn back time - much more simple this way.

P.S. I have only just noticed that this was posted a few months ago, and the issue still remains. I will try to use whatever you tried to solve the issue, if I don't report back, assume the issue was fixed by updating Address Library and F4SE with the newest Mod Configuration Menu.

Nothing helped, except updating LLFP-v50-20240520 that advanced the loading of AAF to 90%

Currently neither Buffout 4 nor Buffout 4 NG work with the recent "NG" releases of Fallout 4, they're both built for the older Fallout 4 still.

Either way, the version of buffout from this list brought my progress on following the guide step by step, to a halt. I had to bug other people on a discord to find out why I could not get buffout and aaf to work together. Someone on discord pointed me in the direction of a different buffout, and suddenly AAF was finally able to work 100%.   Oh, and please add furniture support link for the regular Furniture. I know this question has been asked a million times, but I can't find a solution. My erections worked yesterday. All I've done since is add a mod to replace Nuka Cola textures. Suddenly, any time I launch an Atomic Lust animation, dicks no longer get hard. Body Slide for BT3 was rebuilt with zeroed sliders, LooksMenu is set for the downgraded version of the game, etc. Hell, when I rebuild bodies and load back in, dicks are solid as a rock. But as soon as the animation starts, that thing goes limp. Idek where to begin at this point, just massive confusion. Any help would be appreciated.

AAF told us that the new gen-next will not work on AAF so you can downgrade Fallout 4 will be work that's all

Just because you're able to get it working well enough for your needs on the new game version, that doesn't mean the folks providing general user support in the AAF Discord are ready too help do that for people who can't even tie their own shoelaces.

 

The next version of AAF should have all its features working correctly and thoroughly tested on the new game version, without having to install your own separate LLFP or test pre-releases of things like F4SE and LooksMenu.

On the third time I finally got it all working. My only advice is to follow the Guide to a T. I had issues with using the newest looksmenu and unique creatures, once I uninstalled it worked fine. Hours of troubleshooting just to realize I failed to read lol

Just in case someone needs it: My keyboard wasn't working either until I enabled quick switch between controller and keyboard on buffout4's toml file. Make sure you unhide The UI on AAF Violate so you can see the stage changes.

Running a lower plugin count also helps with overall stability (obviously), I run at 201 and have not crashed once since installing

Hi all, thanks for the great thread, got it somehow working with NG.

One minor issue is that I only get "[UAP] leito" anims to select, all the others aren't displayed (50shades, rohzima, badend, vader).

any idea what that could be? Do I have to add them manually to be recognized? Sorry I have not much experience with FO4-anims.

You said it in response to a reply to someone saying they couldn't get AAF working until they downgraded their game. The (admittedly confusingly-worded) message you responded to seemed to be trying to convey that the AAF help crew aren't prepared to support users attempting to use the current public AAF release with the latest version of the game engine.

 

I'm just trying to clarify, for the sake of anyone else who stumbles across this exchange, that until the next version of AAF is released it's better if you stick with the old game version for now... at least if you want anyone to take time helping you with it when you run into problems.

Correct. It takes a few months for the modding ecosystem to catch up after a major update of the game (this is the first time it's happened in many years). The current recommendation is that you downgrade to Fallout 4 version 1.10.163 and set Steam to temporarily not re-upgrade it. You can find downgraders as well as manual downgrading instructions on Nexus Mods with minimal searching.

There are downgrader mods and instructions on Nexus.  I haven't had to use any of them as so far I've managed to avoid the update.

You can, roll back manually, second sticky post. Or use a downgrader, or this one, then block Steam updates. Which works great btw.
